According to what I read on the internet ( I skimmed through it to be honest), it says after the Empress Nara, there was no other Empress installed while Wei Yinlou was alive even though she was the consort with the highest power in the harem at the time (defacto Empress)But she was finally Empress Dowager by her son the 15th prince when he ascended the throne, and she was dead by this time.
I loved this drama. However, I can't say I am satisfied with assistant director Ban's ending. she deserved more than she got. You cant lie and ruin someone and just get away with a slap on the wrist, that doesn't seem fair to me.

I just finished this and I can say the withdrawal is real. Those episodes went by so fast. My favorite thing about this is Xie Wei's pettiness. ohhh, he is so delightfully petty and I love it. When he found out that Ning had dinner with Yan Lin and made food for her, when she tasted it and cringed, he is like "my mood is sour, naturally the food I cook will be sour". That was gold lol. And him tripping his son just because his son praised Zhang Zhe haha. I wish I had more to watch and I will miss this cast. That said, this is a solid 10 out of 10 for me.
First time I've watched a drama where you can't figure out who the ML is lmao
At a point, I started to think maybe, just maybe Xing Yue was cast as the ML because he is more popular than the other two guys. as far as I am concerned, HRZ is the male lead in this story. No kisses but he had one too many hugs and she was generally friendlier to him compared to his fellow members in the reverse harem.
