They are stupid LOL and probably trolls.
Netflix released all 12 episodes of a total toxic trash called Can this Love be Translated and I am sure the move is designed to kill Korean dramas so I am sure there are lots of trolls trying to kill competition.

It addresses deep and heavy issues in a very warm and light way with lots of humor, so it keeps moving forward . This is what I call a REAL KDRAMA.
But YOU HAVE TO SEE Ep 1 and 2 to see for yourself

I am totally impressed with this drama. The plot is amazing and the acting is amazing. I have been laughing and smiling from ear to ear. Also, it is very deep and very sad at the same time. It exploses some very serious social and personal issues. And overall, it is warm, encouraging and uplifting. it is SOPHISTICATED and LIGHT exactly what I like about kdramas. This so far is a masterpiece. Except some technical issues in ep 1 (speaking too fast, fast scenes, over the top music). But ep 2 is just perfect

Hm..... what is that "off" specifically? If you cannot say what it is... perhaps tell us what kind of watching habits you have, and then it will be very easy to guess what you are used to and what could be "off" to you.

Nah, this is fun, a real kdrama. It is a very intelligent and cretive plot and acting full of humor.
I am not sure what media background you come from, but this is a real fun ride :) it does require a brain turned on and a sophisticated sense of humor.

I am not sure what you meant... ? Hm perhaps you need to learn about gumiho first? Google what a gumiho is.
The gumiho is a mystical creature and among other things, can grant you any wish you want.... THis gumiho is a rogue LOL and interferes for 2 reasons: to get money in exchange for granting a wish LOL and to make sure she complies with Heaven't code of conduct for gumihos.

The plot is unpredictable bc gumiho can do whatever they want.
The only thing that is predictable is that the gumiho will have to self cultivate and become a human. HOW that will happen - is a mystery :)

So far, this is the plot. There is the story of two soccer friends and their life. One started famous, had a car accident, ended up crippled. The other one started poor, then got rich and famous. Did you get that part?
The story is how a gumiho interfered in their life BY GRANTING A WISH and caused them to switch LOL. Did you get that part?

THAT IS THE FOUNDATION FOR THE PLOT. So you dont get it?

I agree and disagree with the last statement... Sure it is easy for them to keep racking profit any quick dirty way they can... But it is a catch 22 and this is where the foreign production $$$$ causes problems... Presenting these low standards makes the audience addicted to low standards.... the audience cannot resist it...

but the LONG TERM CONSEQUENCES are going to be astounding. kdramas will die :) Creativity, storytelling, etc will all die.

Wow you totally missed anything I wrote ... I did not trash asian dramas. I was trashing Hollywood-like and trying to prevent kdramas going that way. I was praising REAL kdramas.

Ok so ppl here seem to be mostly global audience? if so, their background is watching Hollywood and Bollywood trash and utmost blind consumerism, "entertainment" that acts like alcohol or drugs, it turns the brain off and hypnotizes it into questionable standards and morals.
The world of Idiocracy 2006 movie, or Equilibrium. Perhaps even They Live LOL

This kdrama has NOTHING to do with the basic kdrama concepts.

The way it is shown kills the native Korean business and thus this drama is a form of cultural genocide.

Sure, FL is pretty and an excellent actress, and perhaps this drama will push her to the top. I also think that Hiro is a phenomenal actor and should be pushed to the top. How he portrayed a spoiled brat Japanese male was masterful. He stole the show, imo. So these actors should be pushed to the top and it is good they got paid here. (and i would take ML out of circulation he is the same face same acting in all scenes and is super boriing)

THE MAIN ISSUE IS THAT THE SCRIPT WAS TRASH... AND THE LONG TERM CONSEQUENCES OF FOREIGNERS MAKING FAKE KDRAMAS... and putting them on binge watch during weekend so that all other real kdramas have less or not audience... All that is completely completely destructive

But the underluing issues is that blind consumers do NOT think about any consequnces of passing this drama as a "kdrama". This drama has nothing to do with kdramas. The basic ideas and plot are totally not kdrama.

THIS IS A FAKE KDRAMA, and it takes away from true Korean kdramas.

The consumer habits will lead to destruction, as the audience does not have the foresight to see what is valuable and to nourish that. So this short-term "satisfaction and comfort" will lead to majorly bad consequences.

So ... farewell, the asleep complacent crowd marching into making Idiocracy 2006 movie happn for real exactly like that. It already happened and is happening LOL the posts here clearly illustrate that. Ppl are saying the drama is mediocre and giving high ratings bc FL is pretty and scenery from Canada etc is gorgeous. Wow. This is not a sightseeiing show.

perhaps we will live like in Zootopia, where asleep people have "their part of town" with drmas like this and Dynamite Kiss and such... This drama has NOTHING to do with kdrama concept. Dynamite Kiss misuses all kdrama tropes put into one drama plus MAJOR sexism and TMI lwd frequent skinship and violence.
But the problem is, since this group is a majority, it will force other dramas to be more like it to attract viewers and will ruin all other dramas.

The trashy fake kdramas happening now are bc original korean production places were too greedy. So the backslash happened.
So there will be a backslash to this Idiocracy movement too...
