so the KDrama era has officially ended for me... i was waiting for this show but i think no more k dramas .. chinese…
it is Netlix and Disney productions that are bad. They make Hollywood productions with asian actors.

What I learned from this is to never ever again watch anything that comes from Disney or Netflix
Maybe watch 1 episode if I want to learn history or see a particular actor, like Huyn Bin in Made in Korea or IMF crisis in Typhoon family.
But only 1 episode is enough for that

I concluded that this guy is pretty much nailing the issues

Although I enjoy watching this, I am just on episode 6 and I feel like I have been watching this for a lifetime..…
This drama is total trash. Before ep 6, it is bad... and then even worse. After ep 6, it is all nightmares and halluciantions. It is literally CRAZY

Don't really hate the idea. It's good for a binge and people who prefer weekly 2 episodes can just choose to watch…

Mr/Ms Troll - everyone is entitled to write their honest opinion. SO STOP TRYING TO BULLY ME.

And fyi, I did not like Tangerines drama.

And yeah, i will NOT watch anything Netflix and Disney from now on

Sometimes I get lured in with curiosity to see a certain actor or to learn about historical events, like IMF crisis in Typhon Family or Huyn Bin in Made in Korea. BUT I LEARNED THE HARD WAY I NEED TO WATCH 1-2 EPISODES AT MOST TO SEE IT ALL.
and in a drama like this one, I do not need to see anything.

So you can zip up and stop trashing me. I dislike this drama and there is NOTHING you can do about it. Furthrmore, I watched it enough to giv a scathing review.

I totally despise this drama as a major waste of time. The idea is good and it was totally ruined.

I watched the video, and honestly, I think viewers are the main reason the essence of K-dramas is fading not Netflix.
It is catch 22....

Western audience is used to Holluwood trash - no context, s.x, violence, very unusual and "bad" characters like gangsters, prostitutes, drug addicts, no character growth, no functional ppl and families, always dreary, evil winning, very hopeless and depressing OR some "magic good luck" tht makes everything perfectly happy, etc etc etc - in short, TRASH.

**** the audience gets addicted and wants those things, and ppl like Netlix and Disney create those things to feed to ppl to make ppl want those things... *****

AND NOW THIS TOXIC TRASH IS SPREAD GLOBALLY!!!!!!!!

kdramas are what they are bc they are based on Korean culture and values and sense of creativity and independence.

This drama and others I have seen are trying to convert that into some ... westernized trash.

I have lived in the USA for the last 25 years and have seen it go down to the be exactly Idiocracy 2006 movie, plus drugs. The USA has slid into a nightmare of drugs, s.x over Tinder etc, massive video games, shopping, mass environmntal destruction, mass health crisis - every 5th american has cancer, ... and in general, looks totally like Candy Land from Pinnoccio.

Now there is a push to eliminate small business and jhome ownership, and a MASSIVE epidemic of stealing homes under the pretense of law, illegal non-judicial and judicial foreclosures, especially in HOAs, but 80% of new homes are in a HOA.

The USA is like the Old Rome falling down fast out of its own decadence.

And this lifestyle and values and nightmare being promoted globally... so all of us turn into drug addicts?? pills, pot, etc etc etc etc ...

And my conclusion after watching some episodes here and then fast forwarding is that I will NEVER again watch anything made by Netflix or Disney or others who are not Korean-rooted. It is what it is.

I want to watch sane people who live healthy lifestyles eat their home made meals with their families, strive for good education and working, practice moral principles and work on themselves and in cooperation with other people to become better people. I want to watch "ordinary" people solving problems and making things better.
I want to watch the light sense of humor and creativity of kdramas.

Real kdramas are SANE. They are not perfect- the sexism is obvious, etc. But they are still the best digital storytelling on Earth.

So I concluded that what Netflix and Disney produce is only for ppl who want to watch Hollywood, just slightly toned down. That's not me.

i will now watch only dramas made by Koreans.
If kdramas keep going down, I will just stop watching any new dramas. .
There are plenty older ones that I have not watched, so once I ran out o that, I just would not watch any.

I spend my life doing stuff that is USEFUL to me. It is of no use to watch something that acts as alcohol or drugs, puts the brain into OFF mode.

All this trash has that intent and efect, to turn off the brain. It is super ... TOXIC AND DESTRUCTIVE, so I am OUT.

THIS "KDRAMA" IS TRASH AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH KDRAMAS.

This is a slightly watered down Hollywood trash. It starts toxic but "normal" and then after just a few episodes quickly gets into nightmares and craziness and just trash overall.

and after watching the first few episodes and fast forwarding through all 12 episodes to make sure that the trash stays trashy, I made a definite and clear conclusion -

I WILL NEVER EVER WATCH ANY "KDRAMA" MADE BY FOREIGNERS, e.g. Netflix or Disney. IT IS NOT A KDRAMA ANYMORE.
I concluded that this guy is correct. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1_j6izmEX4 How Netflix destroyed kdramas

Gosh the Idiocracy from 2006 already happened, here you are, totally uneducated, unaware OR a paid troll.
You certainly have not seen any older kdramas so you have no idea what you are talking about.

Farewell, do not even try to talk to me since your arguments are total childplay. FAREWELL.

What is Netflix doing? They are already taking over kdrama scene and pushing out Korean producers. So with this releasing 4 episodes at once.. even entire series .. what kind of damage are they doing?

Netflix puts up a catchy ep 1 and gets ppl to watch THEIR show and NOT watch all other Korean shows from Korea, so Korean productions are gonna be KILLED. Netflix releases their 4 episodes in FR-Sun time, so maaany other dramas that air 2 episodes during the weekend will be just .... not watched. ...
Since Korean producers are smaller and live from advertisements, they really are gonna be killed and Netflix will be the only one left showing anything. .... THAT IS EVIL BY NETFLIX.

I hope it backfires on Netflix and destroys them. Bc ppl will maybe binge watch this show and then ... will be done, so they will go on to watch Korean shows and forget about the Netflix drama they just binged.
But Korean shows live on advertisements, so if the smaller during-work-week audience generates less ad revenue than the huuuuge weekend audience... Korean shows will be dead.

Or, is Netlix hoping that after ppl binge watch this drama, they will find something else on Netflix to watch?

Or is Netflix hoping that releasing 4 episodes will create a huge buzz and keep ppl glued to Netflix, as they have global audience so the good news will spread fast?

I dunno... Netflix is certainly destroying Korean dramas for sure. EVERYONE HAS BEEN COMPLAINING THAT NEW KDRAMAS ARE A LOT WORSE THAN OLDER ONES. bc now the focus is on creating something dazzling bombastic "interesting" and cashing money fast, rather than creating a creative drama that helps people deal with their lives.

This is gonna be a battle between King Kong and Godzila since Korean producers were not saintly and really exploited their writers, crew and actors, so now all those people ar motivated to work for foreignersand have more options. I am not sure if the foreigners pay better too. In any case, they show the show globally so there must be more money in working with them? I do not know. It is global but all under Vogue and other big names and anxiety pills and doctors, so seems like they want global unification as all of slaves under a tiny group of elite and under their terms.

The true benefit of this Netflix show is ending of "starving child" look of Korean actresses, and even male actors. This FL got body - the legs, the but, the boobs, some meat and muscle on her. she looks healthy and moves well. Finally to see a kdrama lead that is not a stick figure.

Also, big foreign companies like Netlix or Disney pay idols and top actors and that makes ppl watch it. Like idol Jun Ho who is not a great actor at all, the acts *** the same *** in every drama he does, but has a large fan base. Now Disney is using Hyun Bin for a very stupid destructive role in a drama with very questionable messages that evil wins always.

Netflix is not interested in art or culture propagation, they are only interested in making money, and Netflix dramas are nothing special and nothing meaningful, definitely not really really Korean. Disney is a lot worse, actually. These foreigners will totally eradicate Korean stories and creativity.

The only benefit is tha Netflix has $$$ for these dramas filmed all over - Japan, Italy, Korea, etc.

seeing what you rated dramas like Price of Confession or Taxi Driver, I don't trust your opinion, sorry ...
Hm your view is super biased. She is entitled to hate the shows you love.
On Can This Love Be Translated? Jan 16, 2026
Wow FL is super dumb, immature, pathetically ENTITLED greedy. Spoiled brat child in adult body. Yuck. It is better to be straight forward and openly say FL is a demon, like in Judge From Hell. But... FL in Judge from Hell was actually trying to do good deeds and save the world.
This FL is a destructive force. 100% destructive. She got nice legs in a flashy mini skirt and plastic surgery thick lips, and that's all she got.

And ML is her enabler and a total cemented piece of stone idiot, hurting others so that she, the greedy selfish monster, does not lose her pride. He is enabling her evil side and keeping her stuck. Since he is cemented, he never ever is his real self.

THIS DRAMA IS 100% TOXIC AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE KDRAMA CONCEPT.

NETFLIX MISSED IT, OR IS INTENTIONALLY RUINING KDRAMAS.

Ah that's very possible in real life, and if it exhisted, it would be WS in love, not LI... I dont think this…
Well two good friends / music and business band teammates are not necessarily BL... LaIk certainly didnt feel any BL... if WU did feel it, he hid it very well. But I doubt it... !

Two men can be just very good friends.. esp if they run a business together... that is very common ...
La Ik and WU started the band from scratch and climbed the band up to the top... so yeah they ARE very close friends.. at least on surface LOL seems like WU had secrets ...

If anything, I would think that perhaps WU cheated with La Ik's ex...
