Kdramas these days suffer from bad plot pacing, wasting time bogged down in some stupid hostility plots and Leads getting together in ep 49. Those dramas are trash.

By the "true and tested" "quarter" plot-pacing recipe, ML-FL should be not a pair and maybe even fight in some ways until about 1/4 of episodes; then they start realizing they are in love, and should confess and start dating by the mid episode.
The next 1/4 of the eps should be them fighting to keep and establish their relationship. This part is to introduce heavy obstacles that will test their love and loyalty - and it is a good thing bc they need to pass some heavy tests - They might quickly separate as they get mad etc at each other etc but they should take just a few episodes to figure out how strong their love is, by the 3/4 of episodes.
Then the last 1/4 of episodes is them in clear dedication get back together and fight together .
Ep 49 is to show their total win, wedding preps etc. Ep 50 should be wedding, them on a honeymoon, resolution for everyone, and time skip

AS FOR THE PLOT: a cheap script makes the leads 1-dimensional "kind good naive" and puts all the nastiness onto 1-dimensional "all bad" villain(s).
A good script has complex characters - esp leads who are more good than bad and who are trying to do their best to grow, failing on the way, and then putting effort to stand up and move forward .

A good drama will have plots that have conflicts and dialogues between the leads, and generally FANTASTIC DIALOGUES where ppl share their deep selves and also confront each other about bad behaviors and unresolved issues, and talk about their inner demons, and self reflection and self correction scenes, where ppl overcome those faults.

A good plot does NOT depend on Crazyville ridiculous intricate plots. A lot of good plot is just daily life scenes that show what the characters are like. A good plot must have some key deep dialogues

50 and 100 ep dramas are NOT supposed to be soaps. They CAN go into amazing acting, details, complex plots, over time, across generations and families. Like Family Register or Our Happy Days, currently airing dailies.

The truth is, KBS has not produced a good 50-ep weekender for a while. All are made for some fossils, very sexist fossils who want to watch immature dumb chaste FLs and very confused MLs. The promising attempts of Iron Family, For Eagle Brothers, Our Golden Days, and Recipe for Love fell typically by ep 20 and turned into flops.

This drama had a potential bc at least ML actor is a really good actor, but in ep 8 the script made him an idiot... and FL is made immature and dumb from the start... and FL actress is not so great.
The other actors are good and have very interesting scripts. SurgeonSister and GigoloBro and Gyeol and CountryBumpkin and BestFriend are really fun to watch. Dad is getting interesting :) and the rest are ok.

But watch Family Register and Our Happy Days to see how it is done WELL. Those are very high quality dramas, imo, and I am picky

This drama might redeem itself bc ML and FL still have time to get together before ep 12. It is only ep 8.

Go ahead and take her. She really needs a lot of love and psychotherapy as she is a broken record. Since nobody else wants her, she is all yours.

I ffed tru ep 5 and luckily ep 6 had the repeat of the rooftop murder. YES, Mi Ran actress is a masterful actress. Wow acting skills. Then I ffed half of ep 6 crying and cringe

AND THEN THE FUN STARTS. FL starts earning her title by being focused for 10 years. Bravo! So I am curious what she will make out of it. The drama could be good! Or not... she fell apart as soon as she got out... FL IS DUMB AS SHE DOES NOT COMMUNICATE. She could have said: here,see this text, xyz called e to rooftop.

the script is lazy cheap simple cringe, made for slow audience, covering up for plot holes with ES crying etc. A huge plot hole is that ES's lawyer is now lead lawyer at the Company. MR should have never allowed that.

Also, ML is a gold digger - he stayed in the usa and working for the company forever.. never did he think of coming back for ES. What a great love that is... yuck. ML is greedy. ML is in a trap called desire. HR is hugging him, calling him, kissing his as@ and he is allowing all that bc he gets money from her company. A despicable sekiya.

As for MR, she definitely plans to get rid of the Actress and take over the Company one day. Bot husband and wife are lazy and naive, and selfishly greedy. At least husband protests HR's evil - but does not stop it bc it hurts the stock... . Also I agree, MR shows no motherly feelings for HR and is just using her. The Actress is spoiling HR.

I have no patience to repeat what I wrote before and I told you not to bother me.
In summary, I 100% disagree with you. FL in this drama is an immature parasite and FL actress is an AWFUL incompetent actress.

and I invite you to look at yourself and how you or ppl close to you are similar to that FL and that is why you are unwilling and unable to see the drama clearly.

Just like the rest of you guys, JH worries me. It is ep 33 and he has not even BEGUN to peel himself off DooDoo. Her father helps him with work.... JH is effectively a gold digger.

By ep 60 he should have dumped DooDoo and got together with JN, so JH script is running out of time.

JN actress is running out of time too, bc that is one incompetent actress and needs to improve her acting ASAP to be ready for those scenes.

I agree that SR and DooDoo actresses are perfect in their roles.
Imo It is relatively easy to act DooDoo. But to act SR is very tough as she is very complex. SR actress imo is an extremely skilled master actor - or, if she acts like this in all her dramas, this drama is perfect for her (which I dont know bc this is the first time I saw her). Imo SR actress carries the show. She is on the screen the most. She is most fun to watch.

I agree that JN actress is incompetent, and imo 100% incompetent, so stiff and so visibly pretending, not really acting making it real, so she could kill this drama. ****Needs to take some acting lessons ASAP **** . Bc she and JH should be on the screen a lot and she is gonna botch it.

I think JH actor can act and is very charming. He is so skinny and pale though, every time I see him, I am terrified for his health. So far JH was a calm guy so this actor does not need to overdo the acting and I think he did fine, he had many expressions, and is good in acting with his body.

Se Ri is a very complex character. She is narcissist and a practical person. She is fun, she is charming. And she is super selfish and has essentially attempted murder on O'Reum and on Seong Wu. Did I spell his name correctly..

SR actress is absolutely PHENOMENAL in this role. SR is my favorite character to watch, she is the best actress in this drama and carries the drama. 1stWife actress is great too, but her role is less "flashy" than SR, who is suuuuuper charming .. bc .. she is a narcissist :)
Oh I also like watching ML actor, he is very charming, and his role is a nice guy - but so far mommy-daddy-DooDoo boy... . I wish we see more of that actor. I wish ML role wakes up and becomes more active, cleaning up his DooDoo, pun intended.

I understand what you are saying, the drama can mess up at the very last episode.. BUT - would a high quality drama that never messed up - mess up in the last episode?

imo Family Register and Our Happy Days daily are high quality dramas done very well, nothing was ever messed up so far and I dont think there will be.
OHD it is already to ep 100.
So I think it is safe to watch both.
