The inherent sexism in kdramas does not allow for truly empowered women, that is the key problem with most kdramas. AND THE AUDIENCE GOES WITH IT, THAT IS WHY IT KEEPS HAPPENING.

So.... FL is either dumb and kind person OR a villain, there is nothing in between. A Graceful Liar tried to break that stereotype but also portrayed FL as dumb and greedy. Our Golden Days tried to portray a more spoken smart FL and the AUDIENCE ROASTED HER AS UNLIKABLE. The audience is just not ready for real female strength. THat is sad but true

Another problem is the audience, which requires some kind of dramatic revenge. And the audience is not always smart - or is not paying enough - and so the drama will try to cater to the least smart and so then you get some dumb plots.

i would think that Dr. Kim ran to the Chairman to tell him about the doctors visit. I cannot see why he would be loyal to HY only :)

I came to appreciate good daily dramas bc that is where you can find real actors and not plasticized dolls and fashion models. I also appreciate more realistic real life plots, involving complex relationships between many people and families..... DAILY DRAMAS ARE ALMOST THE ONLY DRAMAS SHOWING FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS!!!!

Eun Ae is turning out pretty good, she figured out she was swindled in only 3 episodes. The actress is also pretty good. That is promising.
MinHo has one good point - the actor fixed his teeth and made sure they are white, and he smiles, at least that is beautiful to see :) Koreans in the USA often have beeautiful white teeth so I am not sure why Koreans in Korea usually have discoloration, maybe drinking dark tea? Coming from my background, I love a shiney white-toothed pearly smile :) Good teeth are good health, and smiling is heaven on Earth :)

Indeed, YuNa and her family remind me of Flower of Evil. Just like the killer son in FoE, YuNa is spoiled and also has the "pedigree" of having both parents as criminals. The combo produced a brazen murderer. My conclusion is: SPOILING THE CHILD PRODUCES A CRIMINAL OR EVEN MURDERER...

FL is the new and improved version of sexism. Recent trend is to not to show FL as a total loser financially and emotionally, but to have her as a competent professional and completely imnature, like a teenager, totally moronic about everything else besudes her job - in this case, this FL has no clue about business - although she is an engineering major and SHOULD know - and she has no clue about personal things, she lets that dude totally swindle her; and she keeps lying to save her face.

There is enough tension imo :) HY certainly has to have some TRIES and maybe some small wins - or even big wins - there are 45 eps left - BUT I WOULD NEVER EVER ROOT FOR HY.

Jun Ho **CAN** be both a wounded child AND can have a mean evil streak. he is BOTH. And his wound - paradoxically - is making him more evil, siding with his mother to grab fakeSR.
He ALSO has some decency to believe that what he saw his bio-mother do is wrong and that she was a bad person.
His wound is now making him overlook it bc he WANTS to have a nice bio-mom. But hopefully his discernment will kick in.
