In real life, villains get away with a lot more :)

As for the romance - it is entirely necessary. The village life made the Bodyguard into a human being.... the little boy really touched her heart the most, and that enabled her to consider accepting the love of her life...... who MANY TIMES saved her life from her own stupidities like running alone into the dark to chase some killer dude, and also helped her to defend herself. He helped her stay alive. A love like his is what she NEVER had so it helped her to defrost her heart and grow as a person into a better human being.

The village life was helpful bc only such "pure" village souls like the little boy and his dad, used to peace and quiet and a close communuty and WARMTH AND SAFETY, could have had that level of trust and giving their hearts openly, to melt our FL who grew up beaten up and abused by her mom and lovers.

This is a thriller but also a healing transformative story and that makes it interesting, imo.

So... the romance is woven into the script as a vehicle for FL's character growth.

She got skillZ......only a fantastic actress is able to bring to life an entirely different character. She is just great
Think carefully about other actors who are able to act totally different characters although you might be able to recognize the actor. Same actor but totally different "person". Only a great actor can pull that off

Oh this is fun!!! that fantastic actress from the Glory - she is great here too.
I never saw the ML actor before but he is super charming, as a "real guy" without botoxed lips etc, and with a great smile and smiley eyes, in "typical" work clothes. In the initial print shop scenes.
But then later, as a spoiled diva actor in some fancy clothes, he just is NOT that charming. Interesting!!!!! I think it is his character that is not charming anymore, he has become grumpy tired. No smiling.

And I wish all the trolls to stop discussing who is older and younger. The ML and FL match and look about the same age so .... quit nitpicking on stupid irrelevant details. LET US FOCUS ON THE DRAMA ITSELF. Ep 1 looks very promising :) It looks like fun, with some deep questions

gosh I am tired of such trolls, they cause problems in like every drama, they focus on such trivia instead of focusing on the drama itself. I highly suspect the competition hires such trolls to shot a drama.

This drama has NO age problem. The actors LOOK the same age so that is it, discussion over.

Leaving a person with dementia wondering around alone and not changing the locks ...
leaving the kiddo unattended for days and maybe even years while in jail...
FL again rushing all alone into the dark to fight the villain ... HOW MANY TIMES HAS SHE DONE THAT SO FAR AND ALWAYS FAILED??????? in fact, she was almost killed every time, and then miraculously saved by ML or Balerina. Let's count: street lights, her house, .....

this kdrama needs a better script. A LOT better script. FL is written too rash and dumb

Ki Beom is such a perfect victim because he is so easy to swidle bc he is such a loser - does not communicate, is super aggressive, lies, is revengeful, is quite mean but dumb, is totally blind to his daughter and everything else, etc. Like trying to get to see Nan Suk on the spot, without any explanation. A total complete moron. Telling his own daugher that she is nobody and should keep living in mud. What a dumb ignorant and ultimatelu EVIL father to diminish his own child like that.

He has good points about what his daughter is doing but he has no impact.... and will never have an impact bc how he lives his life is totally unproductive... and how he wants his daughter to ALSO live a low life....
.... an entitled, super proud, super closed off, very dumb male .... with just very few wise moments...
and his reckless attitude COULD cost him his life bc he demands, disregards and meddles in complete oblivion.

It means what it says - it is a report about costuming, hairstyle and acting that makes totally different characters.
Where it leads for me and why I posted it is bc maybe the audience will point me out to some other actors that i did not see.

For example: a drama can have a super low budget if you have great actors and CREATIVITY.
Like Love From Another Star - alien Do Min is alien just bc he has shiny black hair perfectly combed to his eyes, and a stern poker face and barely minces his words. We all know he is an alien. There was just a very few dollars spent on special effects and smoke and mirrors - burning the lights and teleporting bottles like ... two times? and teleporting her once. I bet that cost like $100 total and was 10000% convincing. Think about that.

For example: criminals can easily hide with costuming and acting like that...

For example... how do those actors pull it off to act diferent people... ?

The cdrama The Bond is one of the very few cdramas I watched that I respect and like and admire to a great degree. Imo it lacks warmth and humor and LIGHTNESS AND CHARACTER GROWTH, it is clearly about bare survival in super harsh circumstances. So it is a drama full of events but devoid of substance. It just tells the story of people's lives... I think little sister's change is one of the very few if not the only transformational experience in that drama.

Little sister was a total fool but at the end, she kicked her husband out, she said she does not want to live with him. After years of slavery and abuse, he gave up on him and let him go. And she did it. That was a HUGE change. Absolutely HUGE. She became brave enough to free herself. yeah yeah it came after years of slavery to him, but .. it came. Finally.

If you think there was no change, then I do not know what to say. I am speechless.

I do not understand your idea of "change." If little sister kicking her husband out was not a change, then what would you consider change???

Imo Su Bin experienced a huge change. To me, her working so well in the shoe store was a huge surprise twist LOL and a huge change.... She didnt want to work. She wanted to just do youtuib and there she was, a stellar salesperson for a month, out of loyalty to SJ for helping her out. That is a huge change.

I did not think that Su Bin was responsible, caring, smart, etc at the beginning of the drama. Until working in the store, she was a spoiled selfish delusional brat.

Right now, I think she quialifies to be called a grown up. A young one, but a grown up. She is honest and hard working and caring and responsible. She self reflects, figures out her mistakes, and corrects them. She GROWS. And she follows her heart with certain courage. She expresses her affection. She nver hurts others. ANd she communicates clearly and honestly. She, to me, is a grown up now. And, I see how much she helped SJ to defrost and be more of himself, his real self. And, I see how much he helped her to become more mature and a very successful woman. They are good for each other. And they are in love, actually. So... I vote for their ship. It is a good one!

But - you have your opinion and I have mine. :) We discussed it, each of presented what we see, and we did not agree with each other and that's ok :) I am shall I say psychic intuitive empath, I see a LOT, and I like helping ppl to see more details in life, and I make $150/hr as a coach, theraoist/healer bc of my skills. I have to be careful to not share too much but only what ppl can take in. Profiling drama characters and discussing with others what they see is very helpful to me in my work to gain more experience and vision. I am here to learn. I want to see EVERYTHING. I am not convinced that you do too.

I dislike Mr. Kim, obviously, he is a real jerk. I also dislike Mr. Kim's wife. She is a doormat, pushower and an ENABLER. At the start of ep 3, she clearly explains she knows she created this monster dad/husband/ Mr Kim bc she spoiled her husband - and yet she is unwilling to do anything about it and STILL WILLINGLY CATERS TO HIM, she quit her dream and her real estate exam.

Bc she is unwilling to stand up to her husband in an honest and gentle way, providing REAL support, not just mockery of his insecurities, bc she is unwilling and unable to keep an honest communication with her husband, bc she is unwilling to disciss any issues, bc she "feels pity for him" and thus lets him do whatver he wants, she has created a monster who is impacting so many peoiple in most negative ways.

Mr. Kim is a jerk obviously bc he is using his status as breadwinner and "man" to dole it over hiwife and kid, he is abusive patriarchal jerk. But the wife is responsible for never ever questioning him and thus promoting and encouraging him to continue to be abusive more and more.

So THE WIFE IS BEHIND ALL THIS. SHE ALLOWED MR KIM TO GET OUT OF LINE. SHE keeps throwing herself, their son AND Mr Kim under the bus, and indirectly, throwing under the bus everything and anything that Mr. Kim gets in touch with, e.g. all ACT employees and customers and public and youtube readers etc the entire country

MR KIM'S WIFE IS THE KEY TO SOLVING THIS SITUATION - AS LONG AS WIVES LIKE THAT EXIST, MR. KIMS WILL EXIST

and it is interesting how that will ruin her son too - that girl is clearly a bait and that Jealousy company is clearly somehow going to abuse Mr Kim's son, who is gullible and keeps failing for that girl and doing whatever she says. Those kids will somehow use Mr Kim's son as a scapegoat for something illegal they do, or as a guinea pig for something, but in any case, at the end he will be thrown to the curb and VERY HURT

And is funny how we find MR. Kim annoying but realy who makes Mr. Kim is HIS WIFE and ppl think she is "nice"

No, she is a monster bigger than him. She KNOWS what she is doing and is unwilling to stop. She KNOWS she CREATES ENABLES AND SUPPORTS THE SPOILED CARELESS CRUEL SELFISH INSECURE MONSTER MR KIM

Added after ep 4: Ms. Kim becomes a very strong woman, and Mr. Kim starts breaking down into a softer more real version of him... and the son also wisened up to some degree :) And the progress continues...

I would say practically everyone was against them as a pair and disliking her LOL but then the kiddo surprised many of us bc we think she grew up FAST into a nice young lady. So now mroe and more ppl are starting to approve their pairing

Yeah!!! I was wondering about that scene.... I was wondering if that really what happened, OR she knew that the Chairman will be there and she staged it? I rally wanted to go there and touch to kid to see if he DID have a fever..... LOL I am sure she could have felt all that motherly love in the past, and then perhaps decided to become evil to make sure those dangerous poverty situations never happened...

In any case, whatever happened after that sick kid in the car scene.... was 100% staged :)

ok then, if you didnt see, then you didnt see. So I will remind you what you SHOULD have seen.
First, she went out with a rich handsome guy and DUMPED HIM, SAYING SEVERAL TIMES that she doesnt want *just* rich and handsome but a nice guy. So overall a nice guy PLUS rich and handsome. Seems like you missed that part.
Second, she was a great success in the store. She was very considerate, mature, etc. And she did her best bc she was returning the favor to SJ. Seems like you missed that part, that she is super responsible and caring towards her friend SJ.
Third, she found her love - old fashion clothes and interest in her grandma - and she became a successful youtibe influencer and very happy with her work. You missed that - that she has become SOMEONE.
OVERALL, SU BIN PROVED HERSELF AS A RESPONSIBLE, CONSIDERATE, CARING AND CAPABLE FRIEND, FAMILY MEMBER AND A BUSINESS PERSON
She didnt want a divorced man, so her interest in SJ is way beyond rich and famous. You missed that too.

So I am not sure why you hate Su Bin, so perhaps you can look at her character a little more objectively? Perhaps :) Characters in a story are there to push our buttons :)

OK. I thnk ML was super harsh and abusive in his rejection, he was very cruel and DISHONEST, and the rest you wrote, I 100% agree with. Yeah he was miserable. But that is not a reason to dump it on others LOL he was soooo immature ... and just like you, I am glad he got over that

you are gonna miss a lot :) Start of ep 25 is a phenomenal ML FL scene

There are many fans of SJ - SB by now, since SB is maturing quite nicely and imo is already quite competent adult enough to be in a relationship. and is definitely having a very positive effect on him and he has positive effect on her, and they engage so well. They are already a great pair

Kneeling allows him to come so much closer to her, to put his body and face right in front of her body and face, to have his body in between her legs or touching her legs, and to have body contact while looking at her eyes directly, face to face.

That guy is really waking up. He is really really really interested in Su Bin. She is ALIVE and makes him alive. EH is too subdued and demure, she just isnt strong enough of a light for him. Su Bin on the other hand is super robust, confident, and outgoing, and also honest and really athletic sexy, and someone very active and taking initiative, so she is a perfect person to demolish all the ICE walls around his heart and a little lower. That like 30 yr old seemingly healthy man so far behaved like an eunuch which means his whole being was under severe trauma.

But Su Bin is so hot, so RADIANTLY ALIVE, that she is already melting him, he is really animated, active and engaged with her. He is gonna be a puddle on the floor very soon....

He is coming back from his old "outer space" and landing right next to Su Bin, his guide back to LIFE.

He is a more mature version of his younger sister - someone who is barely alive bc of the opression they live under.
That talk between JH and SJ where SJ described how his Stepmom tried to trap him to frame him, in such a devious clever way, is just HORRIFYING. Stepmom is an evil monster, well camouflaged as a nice lady. She is TERRIFYINGLY DANGEROUS

Su Bun and Driver Brothere are essentially liberating MomaGirl and SJ out of the golden jail they are in, out of the constant efforts in brainwashing , manipulations, and lies.
