Which country are you referring to for your experiences?
yeah i thought so

this drama is a watered down version of what really goes on in schools in the usa,

the usa has school shootings, super hard drugs, s.x, etc

Calling someone stupid who committed suicide is wrong on many levelsYou just killed him again with wordsMost of…
whatever - you can rationalize and justify, but the fact is, he acted stupidly and is now dead
The fact is, you are coddling kids, just like those bad parents coddled the kids who turned into monsters or zombies

dont do that to kids

I’ve heard bullying over there is very real and that the Kdramas aren’t exaggerating. Real life is worse,…
honey this is not bullying
this is bloody violence, kids beating everyone, peddling drugs, killing teachers and students, and ed police beating the kids

Hm wth is Netflix doing to S Korea with this drama? Do S Korean schools look like this??? I didnt think so. I think this is trying to do some damage to S Korean image... ?

For sure, AMERICAN SCHOOLS ARE FULL OF DRUGS LIKE THIS

SO THIS DRAMA IS A LOT WORSE THAN WEAK HERO / STUDY GROUP BC WE SEE SCHOOL KIDS SELLING DRUGS, KILLING THEIR TEACHERS AND EACH OTHER,
AND YEAH THE ED POLICE BEATING THEM

THIS IS A NIGHTMARE AMERICANIZED PROPAGANDA

THIS IS WHAT AMERICAN SCHOOLS LOOK LIKE

Hm putting ppl into jail just helps them find other criminals to connect with....

going to jail is like ADVANCING in your criminal career.... of course, unless other prisoners dont kill you...

and some criminals are just ... reptilians and will NEVER change no matter what.... so ...

ooops I spoke too early. This drama does mention bad teachers and bad parents and BAD POLICE lmao . I just watched ep 6 and one teacher / several parents and police are exposed for doing bad things. The problem parents are overprotective of their kids..

Still, it is pretty amazing how stupid the women and girls are portrayed in this drama - why cant the female teacher just BLOCK the phone of a nasty parent? And tell them - every parent told me to take their kid's side lmao Or even do what the ed police did lmao THAT WAS THE BEST my fav is ep 5 lmao
or a girl taking some unknown pill - doesnt every kid these days know they shouldnt.... ?????
or police telling the juvenile delinquents who reported them... those juvs bribed the police... ?

The fantasy of this drama is too painful to watch, bc the plot is based on overpowered MC who never does wrong…
I had to block some crude insulting user @mrrrr1 because they had nothing to say objectively, and resort to slander and personal offenses, JUST LIKE THE BULLIES IN THE DRAMA. Farewell to anyone like that

Its a drama, not a documentary. It can have life lessons and be satisfying even if it isn't 100% realistic. And…
Ok then I am blocking you. You dont know how to talk, you are insulting and crude, JUST LIKE THE BULLIES IN THIS DRAMA lmao. Farewell

So Korean kids commit suicides?
In the USA it is all done in gloves.
In the usa, most of the kids take antidepressants from early age. Their parents conveniently NUMB them to get them out of the way
and then later kids start taking drugs and/or shooting other kids

I dont know any American who has not taken drugs

So... what is described in this drama can be done in gloves too -

the main points of this drama are:

1. CHILDREN ARE ABANDONED BY ADULTS
2. ADULTS AND SOCIETY ARE ROTTEN

So the lesson learned from this drama should be - what kind of society do we want to build? Obviously, consumer driven capitalism is not working. We have destroyed environment, children, ourselves. The kids in these dramas have no parent attention bc parents are WORKING - either to barely make a living, or bc they want LOTS of money.

So what is better for the kids, adults, and the environment?

I don't think the heavy-handed social commentary translated well across cultures. And even though the fight scenes…
ah dont be delusional... lmao

So please .. open your eyes - what is described in this drama can be done in gloves too - the main point is that CHILDREN ARE ABANDONED BY ADULTS

I love how there are only two ways of discourse regarding this: one side hating it, the second one enjoying it…
i disagree
i dont have it, I dont love it
i think it is a rather cheep and cheesy flawed attempt to bring forth some important topics -

this drama has a Superman-like MC... the drama's main idea is using Superman to correct world's evil
of course it doesnt work

So until this GENERAL SOCIETAL SITUATION changes, the bad guys have a free reign
And the general situation will NOT change by teachers beating the students or parents beating the students. it can change ONLY if the students inwardly know what is right and what is wrong and stand up together against any violations.

So.... imo this is a delulu drama that puts ppl to sleep.
However, at least it puts some important issues up front to be at least SEEN

The fantasy of this drama is too painful to watch, bc the plot is based on overpowered MC who never does wrong and never gets hurt and has miraculously powerful powers, and has political backing that is based on integrity and never goes away. IT IS A FANTASY FOR SURE.

In real life, this "education police" is ripe for abuse. Sure these super hard cases are solved but in real life, the lines would get blurred so easily
and teachers are not all angels and victims are not all angels
And in real life, victims and abusers are usually from troubled families, sometimes poor and sometimes rich, and rich and powerful are definitely privileged and often abusive, so those deep societal issues have to be addressed

Honestly after ep 4 i cant hate yeri 💔
yeah dont hate her but do NOT take pity either, what she did was EVIL

and yeah the drama made it too simple and made teachers into angels, but teachers, pastors, and many other "responsible" adults in charge of kids - INCLUDING PARENTS AND FAMILY - molest and sexually exploit children, and this was just glossed over in this drama

I wish that the teacher who exploited YN was exposed in the drama

A very good drama. But I think not many people will understand the seriousness and what messages are being sent…
you should be scared of the USA society too - kids KILLING many other students, rampant drugs, etc AND A SOCIETY WITHOUT ANY MORALS

Korea at least has some morals left
The usa does NOT. It has turned into one huge orgy for all ages

Young stupid REACTIVE deer are the ones who get hunted down and killed. A careful smart deer lives to old age.

Kids who put fingers into electrical sockets are stupid.

I understand what you are saying, but also, you need to understand what I am saying. That kid was not 3 yrs old. He was almost an adult. How long do you want to protect ppl from life?
How much do you allow anti-survival behaviors? Do you really believe that any foolish decision should be forgiven based on youth??? Like that judge who sentenced the student who KILLED his teacher to only 4 yrs of jail.

The synonyms for stupid are IMMATURE and REACTIVE and FOOLISH
and yeah the kiddo was stupid definitely
that kind of thinking is anti-survival and definitely NOT smart. Not talking to his dad, not thinking of the future are all stupid, reactive, immature decisions

and that kid was old enough to try something better

I was out a little bit with some emergencies, and I missed about 2 weeks, am still super short on time, so I am carefully picking which dramas to watch. My strategy was to watch 1-2 last eps to determine.
Surprisingly THIS drama won the competition for my time. I watched the last 2 episodes and wow was impressed and so I started skimming through eps I missed and wow found the scene at the grave of Jin Ju and her father - wow HJ and Chloe had an AMAZING scene!!!!! HJ actor is now the key actor as he wrestles with all the conflicts that HJ has inwardly and outwardly, the pressure HJ has to grow or make really greavely deadly wrong mistakes, and the actor is nailing it! Yay

So I might have to watch all the eps I missed :)
I am actually impressed with this drama bc the script is working out the inner and outer conflicts, and the actors are really portraying it. The characters are forced to absorb new info and change as they encounter new information

I do wish that Chloe was written as more complex.... the writer made her into a robot who just selfishly thinks of her revenge. It is SO BORING. That actress can do so much more. Please, make Chloe more complex.

I wish that MJ actor get some private lessons in acting asap bc he is the weakest link here (the second worst, the worst is the secretary of the Aunt/Mom but she does not matter - but MJ does matter!!!!! that role has to be done by a skilled actor) and that the script makes MJ character deeper. MJ has so much inner conflicts too. Work them out.

Chairman actor is just amazing in that role, so real.

His wife YR was such a boring one-dimensional psychopath but in recent episodes she became more complex - on one hand, we see her as a real mom to HJ and someone who knows what real love is and how necessary it is - and on the other hand, she became a lot more cruel bloody killer almost killing HJ's real dad.

HJ's real dad is an exaggeration and it fits this role, in a mockery, we see how a good person can serve the evil

Overall, this drama started as such a soapy soap and had its soapy moments but it is an amazingly well done drama, actually.
