I am positive that WOTI was deeply romantic and the ending was supposed to be the two of them getting togheter, and was abandoned bc the audience at the time was AH SO WORRIED about age difference pairs - it was insanely stupid audience protesting...

So WOTI "won" by showing two realistic endings, one healing to the core, and one showing how sticking to bad karma leads to disaster.

I am not sure if you are going to catch the deep meaning of TDLOMK bc it is a true kdrama, it shows the muck, and then it shows the suffering from it, personal efforts to overcome, larger healing involving community and personal relationships, and transformation. It is 100% opposite than say Low Life, which is about how evil thrives.

TDLOMK and WOTI are healing transformational stories in the tradition of real. MEANINGFUL, uplifting, transformational storytelling. That is why kdramas used to be so popular.

Now kdramas are infested with Hwood, and cdramas are counterfeits of kdramas with the Hwood twists.

Low Life is essentially a Hwood piece, and those and practically all cdramas are to lul ppl into hopelessness and complacency and hypnotize with flashy sensationalistic scenes.

It is like night and day. I am not sure if you can tell the difference though since you wanted to watch Low Life. One test will be - did you enjoy Pursuit of Jade? If you did ... then go watch Low Life and dont think too much :)

In Low Life, they are all criminals from the start. Low Life is just a flashy documentary of strategies criminals use to win. There is not a single "good" character. There is no transformation. It shows how criminals survive and thrive. To me, Low Life is a typical Hwood sensationalistic piece, glorifying crime and showing no hope for any progress. The overall message is EVIL ALWAYS WINS just like in Hwood pieces. The only other alternative in Hwood is a totally obviously delulu "good wins by sheer luck". Always HOPELESS and stuck on the message "evil always wins, and you can only fantasize otherwise".

FL is a woman-child, as is often the case in asian dramas.
It is inherent deep sexism, creating plot by the stupidities of emale character.
This cheap cheesy type of plot should be obsolete in year 2026 yet here and in many other current dramas FL is a young woman who is portrayed the same way like in 50s.....

The only progress in recent kdramas is to have the woman be competent professionally and good at her job. But emotionally, spiritually, and street-wise, FLs are CHILDREN in adult bodies. This is one of the rare but deep flaws of kdramas.

she did..... at the very start of the drama she just got out of long hospital stay and major operation and was very sickly - her hospital bills was the main reason that Min Ju's mom stuck to the chairman as the sugar daddy... remember the scenes she asked her new job for advance, and Chairman gave her money, ... that's how they got together..... and he kept giving her money

oooops the blooper... FakeSR keeps yelling at the police station: CEO CHAE KILLED MY DAD!!!! oooops.....

JH-in-jail scenes are great! he is alive, lively, animated, and that makes him cute! He is usually cold cemented Sourface (that's perfect nickname for JH by @Shinubi No Holds Barred) and that grumpy stiffness makes him suuuuper ugly and repulsive

BUT IT IS SO SAD, for the first time we see JH with some life in his face, he found his mom, AND his mother is a murderer swindler chronic liar sociopath psychopath... and gaslights him like crazy.... JH's karmic load is really huge .... !!!! Is he gonna break from it? ... and how... ?

I cant believe it that his dad would dump HY.... !!?

Why are some ppl frustrated with the ending?? It is a VERY clear ending - FL AND ML BECOME A COUPLE, MIN DECIDES TO COME BACK TO HIS HYONG, the Team survived, and the murderer is on the run in Korea and plans to cause trouble - and plans to meet them again...
So the ending is crispy crytal clear, nothing is open !!!!! it is very definite and specific

I hope not lol She was like a bitch in heat, has a kid in secret with every guy in that town...

Yeah the drama is wasted on JM, who grew up just a little bit..

The drama should have not kept SR away for so long, and there should have been more SR-JH romance bc that is so interesting.

imo SR would find BH terribly boring, they so don't fit... New and improved SR fits with new and improved JH. They both have some inner demons to tame first. SR is ahead of the game bc she met her loving kind mom Suk Hee and some of that love already rubbed off. JH is totally off the track and off the deep end!!!! with his mommy issues

JM - BH fit better :) and the drama should have made JM smarter to make JM-BH scenes more interesting. Fmale lead and BH (and villain HY) are the strongest characters and strongest actors, they carry this drama, they are the staple on the screen, so JM/SR actress should somehow be better used as JM or more frequently used as SR. Then BH can act with JM and any roles except JM. That is a way to keep BH the center of the show and JAZZ UP the FL roles.

The drama relies on having BH on the screen a lot bc BH actor is an amazing, experienced actor and BH is a critical character, without his help JM cannot let a fart.... so imo it would have been good to have more plot with BH and other ppl... eg BH helping SR and JH get together

And for a good thriller, I am now watching 2015 Hello Monster. Tons of amazing actors and really dynamic plot. It does have sexism as usual, maybe slightly less

Wow star studded cast and a great thriller psychological drama - except deep sh.t sexism, FL is made the dumbest person around and too much plot is based in her stupidities and her being a nurse to ML who is abusive and cold towards her - and the only other female characer was super stupid too - REALLY DUMB - didnot leave any messages that she got the fingerprints, did not personally go to other ppls offices but went into a parking lot with her brief - HOW STUPID IS THAT????? DUMB DUMB DUMB and FL also was doing similar dumb stuff - so ML had to save her... STUPID SAME OLD SEXIST TRASH
AND
actors who look alive, not like skeletons and porcelan dolls like in year 2026 where BMI of 13 is desirable and all actors look lifeless and malnourished... !!!!

Well even the provocative, the dirty, the intriguing s.x teasers and cheap tricks like taking a golfball out of dirty toilet bowl will NOT save this drama as a total ... trash :) It is all a hype and no real substance and character development and TRANSFORMATION.

The drama is Hwood type "shocking scenes and decadence and decay" - so yeah we COULD just watch Hwood movies for this.
yeah it shows that rich and powerul "top" of society is totally berserk. So what's new?

FL's dad connected... Chairman heard FL screaming about Joy and is investigating now.... FL and her dad came out clean... FL and ML connected... It was one important thing after another!!!!
