FYI I was NOT talking about Kimchi family feeding everyone for free and taking kids in for free. That totally makes sense to me. For two reasons: those are very small expenses, and food is to be shared and kids are to be taken care of.

I was talking about BIG MONEY, about several rich ppl offering envelopes with LOTS of money the would instantly pay off Restaurant's debt, and KimChi family PROUDLY REFUSED THE ENVELOPES with big bs sermons... The actor offered money to reward KimChi family for hiding him that night, the H top woman offered money bc of the framed metal-in-the-food scandal that her husband did...

AND KIMCHI FAMILY REFUSED THAT MONEY!!!!! that is very dumb.

Ep 12 finally had character arcs, finally we see ppl growing and talking

and I am 100% impressed with acting of young ML, he was AWESOME as a sweet boy again. He nailed the acting. Esp scenes of him meeting the Chairman again for the first timeAs a bonus, he was super cute too. And hilarious as a female actress dancing.

But I dont like the ending bc it is a whole new mess again and confusing his girlfriend AGAIN... that's brutal to his girlfriend!!!!

yeah this is surely he-man drama, all male actors and male dominated environment.

It has everything from slapstic crude, to situation humor, to nice warm "honest feedback" and bantering, to very super crafty clever satire and wicked jestering that will fly over the head of most ppl

So - whatever level of intelligence you are at, you will surely find something funny for yourself

Oh by chance I ran into Spice Up Our Love 2-hr kdrama. The ML actor there was the local commander here, that theoretician, kiss up to get promoted "armchair warrior" that was picture perfect obedient soldier chasing promotion for the entire drama and then solved everything in the last episode ... ...

and the audience complained the actor was out of place...... Well perhaps if you saw him in SUOL maybe you were prejudiced lmao

But after watching SUOL trailer, I can see WHY he was perfect for the role here and how his role from SUOL totally transferred to this drama... His robotic "perfection" and always saying and doing the politically correct thing... his major big time as@ kissing..... "loyalty".... ...totally!!! SUOL persona totally transfers into the military setting.

Whoever saw the commonality and brought that actor into this drama is a sheer genius

YES I DO BELIEVE that Asia is superior, bc it had Buddha teaching for EIGHTY years while westerners killed Jesus in a few years after he got back from India/Tibet. So, Westerners never had a chance to BE TRAINED BY A MASTER. Only his disciples got a little bit the few years he was teaching...

WESTERN WORLD IS PRIMITIVE. That feeling that you are not a child of God and that you should feel guilty in front of God is just stark varvaric PRIMITIVISM. The keys to Asia are India with the science of yoga and Buddhism for thousands of years, and Tibet/Nepal where all that knowledge is stored. Jesus was gone for 12 years and traveled to India - then quit bc of the red tape - India has caste system and a whole bunch of charlatans pretending to be saints - and then Jesus went to Tibet, where he learned and got enlightened.

YOu will see the extreme difference between western PRIMITIVISM and Eastern utmost sophistication and knowledge, in discussions between African Catholid I think? Bishop Desmond Tutu and Tibetan Dalai Lama, where Tutu says that we cannot change... that we cannot change or influence our mind and emotions, and Dalai Lama KNOWS there is a well prescribed and well practiced and known SURE WAY to achieve that liberation, to DISCIPLINE THE MIND AND BECOME ENLIGHTENED.

So Christians are left at the total loss as to what they are thinking and feeling, without ANY instructions as to what it means and how to deal with it, and with the IMMENSE FEELING OF SHAME AND GUILT, as they are taught what they think and feel is "bad" - yet nobody is helping them deal with it. So they are easy pray to drugs, s.x, violence, etc. The West is like a an abandoned child, nobody is raising it.

In the East, Buddha taught for 80 years how to live properly, how to self observe, meditate, pray, how the whole spiritual process works, how to die properly, and how to use one's life to the best. TIBETAN BUDDHISM IS LIKE A COOKBOOK FOR ENLIGTENMENT, it is so well organized collections of teachings that WORK.... It is like the de lux VIP easiest road to Heaven, you just have to to follow the practice!!!!!.

The amount of SKILLS AND INTELLIGENCE is incomparable. The west is ***incompetent*** and ***primitively ignorant***. Science discovers "new things" every few years and essentially ridicules everything it knew so far. Meanwhile, the East had all that knowledge long time ago.

The West now has technology and can kill and heal - but only on surface, as all that technology comes without any wisdom, and is essentially misused. The West is rich bc it used that technology to colonize and loot all over the world, and it still does it. The west has a lot of blood on its hands and all those riches are STOLEN from someone else. The usa is built on free land taken from Natives, and then everything on it built by free slave labor of people kidnapped from Africa. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING SUPERIOR ABOUT THIS, when everything you have is based on THEFT AND EXPLOITATION.

Sure the East is not angels only, there are lots of nasty things in the East, like those wooden throwaway chopsticks, Indian caste system, and general societal strict hierarchy. Those are super ugly. There is nothing perfect on Earth... and everyone has lots to improve!!!!!

There are some things to be learned from the West - efficiency is executing plans and programs, and direct communication, and some leeway in self expression and accepting differences. It is diverse enough that you can carve your own niche - and learn stuff from the East without going there lmao The West is where all kinds of great minds from all over the place gather. That is good stuff.

Officially, I am a Chistian, and that is something one cannot chose, and I can see why. I like the idea of God that I can talk with all the time, I would not be happy being a Buddhist lmao and Sure I am good buddies with Jesus, however, to fully understand what he was saying, I have to study Asian spiritual practices. So yeah, I am ASIAN IN SOME WAYS, I am a yogi :) in the tradition of Christ

S Korean dramas are best able to capture that FEEL in the entertaining context of pretty good storytelling. It is not perfect but it is as good as it gets on this planet.

And yeah, Chinese are masters when they CAN, those few who DARE,
like cmovie Xuan Zhang about Chinese monk who walked for 5 years from China to India to get Buddhist texts, stayed there for 5-10 years to study, and walked 5 years back to China. Chinese are EXTREMELY smart and those who get into stuff like this surely can make quick progress, that's why there is such a clamp on China.

S Korea is the only place out there that has the proper environment, the proper government and "independence" as much as possible to actually produce these wonderful educational stories of wisdom, when you look at it

India has more saints per capita than anyone else lmao Christianity has so few saints and they got saintly often by doing stupid things, like self torture. There are genuine ones too. but ... omg so rare. The corruption is intense. Bc in the west, church is 100% involved in politics, collects money, does wars and colonizing and missionary work.
While Buddhist monks walk around with begging bowls. That is HONEST.

So ... long live kdramas with their wonderful ability to present all sides of a coin, to laugh at it, to keep warmth and compassion, and to inspire. Yup they are not perfect, sexism is kdrama fault #1. Still it is much better than ANYTHING else out there. When it is a REAL kdrama. Lately, they are getting westernized and losing their dramas and their culture.

The dimwit sister is starting to be irritating, for two reasons. First, I can see how kdramas ALWAYS include a super dumb female character - but who is KIND.....and usually pretty and very sociable and with lots of friends.... .

Kdramas do not have many flaws, but this sexism of showing really dumb women who make mistakes is THE constant deep flaw of kdramas. They "progressed" from openly mentally disabled women in High Kick 3 and here, for example, to open losers, e.g. Dynamite kiss and most other kdramas. So the plot is made by having a dumb female character keep making mistakes and then - always! - a smart capable dedicated man saving her.

Second, the mentally disabled sister here 100% believes she should be entitled to make decisions about family money and future. bc the family tells her there is nothing wrong with her... .THAT IS THE TROPE OF KDRAMAS - a TOTALLY ERRONEOUS PERSON IS DOING STUPIDITIES AND EVERYONE SAYS IT IS NOTHING... Hey be honest for once!
So the mentally disabled sister has no concept that she should CONSULT with the rest of the family first.... and that omission is her family's fault. So she is dangerous to the family.
Her strained acting and strained artificial voice straight from a children's cartoon is ... irritating. The sister is actually a very pretty woman but I dont have time to notice bc how she speaks with puckered lips in fake affectation and her voice is just .... like nails on chalkboard.

The older sister is slightly smarter but not really smart, she is very reckless and impulsive. A perfect pair with the ML, who is the KING of reckless and impulsive. So they miss a lot of info and communication bc they are so .... self centered.

ML is fascinating to me bc he is 100% Korean, including that funny little moustache. The drama has many actors who look western - ML's roommate and his "dad", grandfather and acu doctor, etc. So ML stands out as "genuinely local" and that is refreshing. I really like NO plastic surgery and no dieting.

The scenes of very slanted eyes in front of the camera have triggered my own past memories :) My birth home had an Asian liitle "picture" of men on horses hunting..... someone - I dont know who - in my family bought it decades ago and it was always displayed prominently. For some reason, it was truly cherished.... I think it is from ... Asia Minor somewhere, like... maybe? Iran... Mongolia? India? somewhere around there.... With these scenes of a face with very slanted eyes as the front shot all over the screen, I am starting to have flashes in very vivid dreams with such eyes - even in light blue or green/gray - of ppl I have never met consciously, and also ppl from my current life with such eyes., like my Palestinian friend from years ago, who had light brown-yellow, almost dark yellow, eyes - all these eyes slanted. Google AI says that Native Americans, Polynesians and some Africans have slanted eyes. Hm. There are white ppl with ] slanted light blue or green eyes
Not to mention, all these sites are probably monitored by ppl with such eyes lol and also ... different eyes lol

What a cheesy way to extend the drama.... The ppl in debt dont take the money they earned, so now we have 1 ep about that and 20 more eps about them losing their restaurant bc they didnt pay their load

Also, this is such a typical brainwashing of poor ppl to continue giving their money and always stay poor and powerless... The drama is actually propaganda and helping rich ppl.

The script writer should use their brain cells and think of some smarter plot to put into the drama.

I love Asia, I make a living off Asian knowledge and concepts :) and I live in the USA because Asian lifestyle IN ASIA is too restrictive and the USA allows freedom to PICK the lifestyle I want :) so out of all Tinders, drugs, rock n roll, etc. I can PICK to live a family lifestyle that is squeaky clean and tons of fun - and so I jibe with watching kdramas :) bc they got that. Moral compass, good values, good healthy lifestyle, community, wisdom, and tons of fun.

I am living the best of both worlds :)

The West has very toxic values and lifestyle, but also leaves freedom for you to find the niche you like - bc is a huge rather empty space so you can claim your territory :)
The Asia has extremely healthy values and lifestyle concepts, but in practical real life is too bogged down with social norms, sexism, and "staying in line" with everyone else, bc ASIA IS OVERCROWDED so ppl have to tiptoe around each other.

So living in the USA and practicing traditional Asian values is extremely fun and rewarding life :) I would love to try living in Tibet or Dharmsala, or in Nepal, or India too because those places have something that nobody else does - extremely well implemented and taught spiritual values.

Spiritual education is often missed in kdramas, unfortunately.
Cdramas are 99% crude "military parade" feel but when Chinese make something special, wow they are just amazing and totally outdo anyone else, they make the DEEPEST stuff. It happens once in a zillion years, but when it happens!!! Showing that Chinese actually have the deepest understanding but are sooo bogged down with bad stuff bc there are so many of them and most are too dumb as usual and there is such heavy oppression too much to even breathe.

Also, USA used to be much smarter, but all good movies and dramas and critical thinking basically died off around year 2000. Some can still be found in isolated spots, in stand up comedy or alternative "news" but it is very very very very rare these days. The USA is totally dumbed down and drugged down. So it is on its way OUT. It has become a very backward space. Epstein files were still not released, instead there is almost a nuclear war and the president pocketed 2.2 billion dollars so far and nobody is doing anything. YOU CANNOT MAKE GOOD DRAMAS AND MOVIES IN AN ENVIRONMENT LIKE THAT, WHERE MOST PPL ARE TOO FAR GONE OFF THE DEEP END TO WATCH REAL STUFF. If Epstein files are "normal" then ... what could you possibly make dramas and movies about???? it is like... anything goes... and nobody is thinking.... or doing... anything.... but continues with Tinder and drugs. Marijuana is like cigarettes. What kind of stuff will those ppl enjoy watching?????

SO GUESS WHO WINS THE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD AND STORYTELLING? S KOREANS :) the best storytellers out there globally today.

OK sure, I am only up to ep 5 now. But wow this is a real kdrama! I love it!!!! I wanted to watch it for a very long time and finally, the new dramas are so few and so bad that I am making the time to watch this one and to skip the new ones.
