First, much western audience watches kdramas bc ppl are tired of s.x, violence and no content OR super rosey unrealistic content in western shows. We want nice real stories, not a substitute for drugs or alcohol. A drama should be a story that makes sense and involves some thinking.

Second, once the world figured out that asian dramas esp kdramas are da bestest, there is lots of forfeiting and lots of trying to exploit "the brand." So ...
This kaory does not understand one thing that is happening now... stuff like real art dramas are in danger of extinction... already 16 ep dramas and weekly airing are going obsolete... WHY? you never asked yourself?
AND, you never asked yourself what it does to dramas, when you have to churn out totally new plot and characters every 8-10 weeks? THEY ARE ALL ALIKE THEN, there is lots of copy and paste. And how deep can they be?

And even worse, when you have a short vertical of like 2-4 minutes... what is THAT all about? what does it do to the audience to just be hooked on the adrenalin rush of 2 minutes?

AND WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SHOW ALL EPISODES AT ONCE? what happens with those 10 weeks without any episodes? Another drama showing? but again, how unique and creative can the plots be then.... ?

then lets talk about content... white-looking actors, white-looking setups and environments, foods, plots, more skin showing, more aggressive scenes, more "driving in the car" or just "car passing" scenes..... More dramas just about a few young adults, no generational interaction or families, .....

I DISLIKE THE WAY THIS IS GOING - AI GENERATED PLOTS WITH GENERIC ACTORS, SHORT BOMBASTIC EMPTY "SHOWS" without any meaningful and deep content, etc.

fyi until now, on wed/th there was only variety shows, 3 dailies and some short gay dramas

now the choices are several male gay dramas versus one drama with a baby and straight family. I think wed/th slot is perfect for new and upcoming kdramas
