Yes, of course! I fully acknowledge that and I 100% agree with what you said here. Junk Ho is a total scumbag for pushing fakeSR to marry him although she said NO - I LOVE BH. But at that point he was NOT going against BH, bc JH thought that fakeSR was realSR, and BH told him he loved JM. .... So... JH was not in BH's way at all.... JH was just being abusive and pushy to fakeSR.... he did not steal JM from BH...

My post above was referring to the period AFTER JH knew that fakeSR was JM... AT THAT POINT HE KNEW BH LOVED THE PERSON THAT HE, JH, WAS PUSHING TO MARRY - AND JH DID NOT CARE. AT THAT POINT, JH WENT STEALING FROM BH.

But then..... JM asked JH to marry her and indicated she wants to dump BH, so in some ways, JH was NOT going against BH anymore if BH had no chance!!!!

But then... , JM CLEARLY BEHAVED IN LOVE WITH BH AND IT WAS 100% VISIBLE. AT THAT POINT, JH WAS GOING AGAINST JM AND BH. .... at that point, JH is Junk Ho, insecure, immature, evil, egoistical, selfish, grabbing, harming, HY genepool, total criminal.

The the only difference between HY and JH is that he did not kill anyone - but HY did nto kill until she felt like she had to .JH COULD DECIDEE AT ANY MOMENT THAT HE HAS TO KILL SOMEONE TO GET WHAT HE WANTS.

JM baited JH bc she and she told him to marry her and to show her his love and make her love him; and JM PROMISED TO TRY TO LOVE JH. That is what I called "baiting him". At that point, she gave him hope and BH became irrelevant to a large degree if JM was willingly going to ditch BH. That's what I meant.

But any sane person would just decline JM's offer. What do you mean - love her while she is TRYING to love him back despite her love for BH??? Anyone sane knows that kind of stuff does not work. But Junk Ho is too greedy and too selfish to see that. Yeah, JM baited him with some rotten fake bait and he ate it LOL

@scarfie made me think. Indeed JH never did anything wrong to JM - except ordering/pushing/forcing her to marry him. But that is not a reason to destroy him, like JM is doing now. She said she will use him, but she is using AND ABUSING him, she is not even polite to him, and she keeps harming him.
Jm also said she will TRY to love him and that he should try to convince to love him, i.e. implied that the love between them would be "real" - but that was a very big and nasty LIE.
JM is intentionally doing everything she can to mke JH SUFFER, in public and private..

Her main agenda is to make JH suffer so that HY would suffer seeing that... But as @Zango said, HY doesnt care for Jun Ho... she is not interested in JH as his mother, but as an investor.

JM telling JH she wlll be "Using him" would mean something like: in public we act a certain image, and behind the scenes we have a business meeting and cooly discuss our strategies.

JM promising to "try to love JH" means that she will be very polite and caring and considerate towards him.

As someone else said, JH is a Michelin Chef and JM's former idol and role model. She is not respecting him even for that. She TOTALLY crossed JH out as a disposable trash, as a cockroach to be stamped upon over and over again until it dies.

She is not even using him as a disposable pawn. Usually ppl who just use disposable pawns are just condescending, think that the pawn is worthless and lowly. But JM shows strong aversion to JH and is using JH as someone she HATES and is driving to destruction.

What JM is doing to JH is: "I am gonna destroy you. I know you love me so I am gonna make you do all kinds of stupid stuff in public and make you suffer in public, and in private, I will treat you with scorn. I WILL MAKE YOU SUFFER TO THE POINT YOU BREAK
and that will make HY suffer - so I will be done with my revenge. "

AND SHE KNOWS SR LOVED JH AND WAS READY TO MARRY HIM. SoJM is in this delulu place where she ignores the fact that she is destroying the brother and family of the man whom she "loves" and the love of her sister... Even if JM marries JH as fakeSR and then hand over JH to the realSR, it is too late, she is handing over a beat up sleezebag.. ... not worthy of SR..

And BH thinks he wants JM... !!! This is based on a total lack of communication... and BH being in this delulu land where he cannot See JM as she is.... So imo BH does not really love JM. He is in love with some idealistic fantasy... JM used to be an honest person in need of help and BH was her Knight in Shining Armor. **WILL** BH become JM's Lapdog and serve her regardless of what she does? Like HY' Lapdog serves HY...

This post was initially a part of my conversation with @TooEmotional, which helped me see why the audience was irritated with Baek Ho "the perfect examplary man",

and also I realized I was misunderstood: the truth is, I do not support any characters unconditionally... If BH just blindly supports JM regardless of her actions, I would think BH is trash!

It was actually pretty good that JM turned villain, bc now all the underlying dirt and toxicity is exposed and can be cleaned up. The big abces full of pus burst out, and the situation MUST be healed before it becomes a deadly staph infection...

So far, JM was a mentally dumb person, stupidly arrogant, insecure, naive, honest, kind and loving UNLESS she thought she could kick as@ - like how she treated BH as disposable bc he was "under her" - BH was her servant, savior and knight in shining armor, saving her life numerous times. JM just took him for granted..... He crawled for her to make her like him. Just recently she started liking him. somewhat...

THEN JM got into villain mode..... and I started protesting. If that continues, and/or BH does not stand up to the backstabber JM, then I am out. I do not blindly support any characters.

JM was always the character sacrificed to sexism. She was made too dumb, naive, proudly stupidly arrogant, and overall - helpless loser. So JM going off rails is not surprising. She has to be put back on track and made more mature. That can happen by her own self reflection or from a push by someone else. Bc of such strong sexism, I am not expecting miracles, it is good enough someone/somethiing else push JM to transform. BH is a good candidate to push her. SR or SH too. Or some event. In any case, JM has to show BH that she understands what she did, regrets it, and has taken measures to transform and to never repeat this kind of behavior.

If the drama makes JM stay a villain, or go back to BH as if nothing happened, then the drama is a flop and JM is a wasted character.

BH right now does not know what JM did, and he naively thinks she was trying to protect him.

So what will BH do when he finds out that JM lied to him, dumped him, told his brother to love her for real and she will try loving him, and intentionally kept harming his brother?

BH was always portrayed as a very examplary character. Except for his crawling to kiss JM's lazy entitled as@, he showed a great degree of very high and noble traits. he was a Knight in Shining Armor to JM.

If the drama mutates BH into a LapDog who just follows JM blindly and lets her trample over his brother, her sister, himself, etc. and lie to him, etc. then yes the drama is a flop and BH is a wasted character.

So far BH was a Knight-In-Shining-Armor, not a Lapdog... He was there for JM although she wasnt really deserving... but at least she was an honestly good person. To be such a crawler, BH was made to be not very smart :) and that is why the drama was quite slow and not as interesting as it could have been, bc he never challenged JM to grow. ===== MBC is repeating The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun... =====

I didnt protest back then bc at least BH in love with JM made sense - He needed a "home" and was desperately trying to fit into JM's family.......JM's family is disfunctional and dumb, but at least loving for real. So ... BH found JM as a reason to hang out all the time with the family....

So ... BH adopted himself into JM's family by being a Knight in Shining Armor.

and yeah BH's love for JM was too slow and too one-sided and I can see why it was irritating you - and me, it was just a realistic script that was DRAGGED TOO LONG... and that made me suspect BH was adopted. He was latching onto JM too fast and too much.
And for a good reason - BH's "family" is so cold and egoistical.. His adoptive mom is so full of herself, thinking "her" man is there just for her, and now refusing to let him go, somehow she expects Professor to make it right by staying with her and comforting her!!!! And BH's adoptive Dad is just a fake.

SH is a pretty real mom... to the point where she knows which twin is which... she is so attentive and in tune with her kids... And BH's family is just idiotically snotty and fake. No wonder BH wanted to be a part of SH's family :)

BH needed some kind of "real mommy love" ..... The JM's disfunctuonal dumb family - and JM - needed a helper. and so.... BH was their Knight in shining armor.

But BH was a rahter Pitiful Knight... BH was crawling to JM trying to make her love him, and she took him for granted and was playing hard to get... and it went on for so long.. finally she started liking him.. But not enough... She never became loyal to him.. . She just used his free services..

I DID NOT MIND THAT. It did slow down the drama a lot but imo at least was honest, realistic and a a lot better script than say A Greaceful Liar...
JM was an honest person. A mentally disabled person needing help. So imo it was ok that BH helps her. It dragged too long which made the drama worse.

Luckily, JM started improving, but not ast enough... and then out of blue, JM made a mess....!!!! and AFTER she made the mess, JM finally feels how much BH means to her. But it's too late!!! She dumped him, lied to him, harmed his brother, so she cannot just go back to BH as if nothing happened. But ppl are saying she will just go back to him as if nothing happened...!!! imo that would destroy the drama.

So now, the issue is deeper and the stakes are higher. .. JM is not honest anymore. JM MADE A MESS and harmed BH and his brother. At this point, I am saying ENOUGH... !!!

JM COMMITTED "CRIME" TO BH AND BH'S FAMILY.
RESOLVING BH CHARACTER CAN MAKE OR BREAK THIS DRAMA...

You guys are saying JM will just return to BH as is, no questions asked - and I am saying - I hope not! if it happens, the drama is ruined. I would drop the drama if it becomes that.

A super easy way out - which sexism probbly would not allow - is to make JM change her ways on her own, repent, and beg to BH to take her. So BH stays this one-sided goody goody two shoes simple character.
A more complex way is for BH to challenge JM, and she responds - so both characters grow.

****BH has a family and his brother, and he should not allow mistreating them,*** Not even JM should be able to mistreat BH's family. .
But what some are saying is that - based on BH's behavior so far - he will ditch his brother and his family and totally be blind in JM's favor. Yeah that is too simple and boring. Then BH is a bad brother. So after all, he will not be so exemplary and so great and I would consider him a failure. If he does that, I will dislike BH.

Imo BH is not a good partner for JM if he is NEVER going to stand up to her and provide a mirror. Letting her do whatever she wants - even when JM steps on BH, his brother and her sister!!!!! - is NOT love, it is a LapDog. In other words, a human failure.

The question is: Is BH made to be just JM's servant boy? ... That is demeaning to BH as well as men in general, it is just playing the role of enabler to a very toxic, immature and HARMFUL JM. He would be helping her to become more monstrous and dumb. Like HY's lapdog did for HY...

Imo, JM "cancelled her membership" and "caused damage" so she gotta pay penalty fees...

Yeah I agree with you, IF THE DRAMA MAKES BH JUST TAKES JM BACK, THEN BH IS A LAPDOG AND THE DRAMA IS TOO SIMPLE AND BORiNG.

And I agree with you, the drama dragged BH as a knight in shining armor for too long. BH is like a little boy in love with his mommy. That is one of the reasons I suspected he is adopted - he was latching too much too fast.... So yeah so far BH was too simple.

Imo BH needs to be more mature too and say - hey this is not ok, backtrack now or else.

That loyalty coupled with standing up for himself and ultimately standing up for JM - believing that she is capable of behaving better - would make the drama so much more interesting and JM and BH worthy of being lead characters.

you know drama Our Happy Days? has Chairman's son having a very crude wife. But he loves her and they actually have a great love relationship. And he curbs her. He tells her not to do stuff. He reprimands her. ANd also he loves her. They are not the lead pair :) bc the lady is too nasty and dumb :)

SO FAR BH LOVED JM MORE THAN SHE LOVED HIM. In fact, she never loved him... He was always crawling for her to make her like him... and she was always condescending and cold.
So ..... BH probably felt he could not risk challenging JM and alienating her.

HOWEVER, that has to stop - if he keeps crawling for her, he is nothing...
And right now is a great time to separate wheat from the chaff...

FOR THE FIRST TIME, BH IS STANDING UP FOR HIMSELF!!! HE IS NOW IGNORING JM. DID YOU SEE THE SCENE IN EP 92, HE IS IN THE OFFICE, HIS BACK TO JM AND HE NEVER NOTICES HER - and she is thinking to herself how he needs to eat and orders him food...

Now JM is starting to chase BH, bc she lost all his services and attention and is starting to value him.
Right now, JM does not have him under her thumb so she is more aware how precious he is.
SO NOW IS THE RIGHT TIME FOR BH TO CHALLENGE JM - bc she wants him for real so she is more prone to get her entited as# moving to earn him.

BH has the inner strength, honesty and kindness to properly stand up to JM, he has it in him, he has a high moral compass and a very generous nature. IF he can be more .. grounded, he could be a great Chairman.

If BH stays loyal-no-matter-what, if he ignores SEVERE AND SERIOUS MISDOINGS OF JM, then he is going to be just a simpleton doormat enabler and participant in various crimes - JM's Lapdog - the same kind like HY's LapDog
AND IF THAT HAPPENS, I would drop and rate the drama like 2 out of 10 and BH would be a character 1 out of 10 - a wasted character

I thank @TooEmotional for a conversation on this topic, it was extremely helpful to me to understand why some ppl disliked BH and why the drama was needlessly boring and what made it drag so much - Just a few scenes of BH challenging JM to behave better would have made all the difference. - and why the drama could end up in a ditch if BH turns into a Lapdog - then both BH and JM would essentially become villains.

What you described is a very boring and one-sided BH role :) and yeah that would be frustrating to you. And to me :) I would totally dislike BH if he mutates into a Lapdog.

So far BH was a reasonable and examplary in many ways, minus crawling to JM.... then JM turned into a villain... and if BH blindly supports that, and the drama mutates from "BH Knight-in-Shining-Armor to mentally dumb, stupidly arrogant, honest and kindJM" to be "BH LapDog to criminal JM" - then I am out!

Ok that makes sense but ... does not seem to include chasing cheating husbands and office romances and kisses in the stairway between two nobodies unrelated-in-business like in this drama... :)

THE BOTTOM LINE - and that is where I want to leave this conversation - is that the ML actor in Filing for Love is a very skilled actor, he expresses so well and has a knack for comedy, AND also he is very handsome (and in a way that is real). And that FL and side actors are fantastic actors too. That is what matters right now. This drama is great and the acting is masterful.

I disagree. I think Recipe for Love ML is very handsome and charming - and imo he and FL are a really cute pair.
I think the issue with that ML actor is that he is not as great actor as the Uncle actor :) and forces himself to act and often looks unnatural. His overly big artificial smile and smirking is cringe :) Perhaps that's why you cannot "See" him. He is not a real actor yet :) But he is good looking for sure.

The Uncle actor is a MASTERFUL actor but is not "young and pretty like an idol" so they dont cast him as ML.... His is beautul in his own way, he i so super buff and reallly looks and carries himself like a MAN, he is a handsome man from real life, not from fashion runway or an idol group.
The uncle actor is a master actor, and a master comedian too... So yes the uncle is amazing!!!! Totally 100% mesmerizing to watch - bc you never know what he will do :) We saw a great range from him. He is what you call an iconic REAL actor. Someone whom you cannot miss and whom you will remember after the drama is over.

The dramas market the more androgenous young men who look and behave like ... children lmao The idol and fashion model types. But 99.9% of them are so boring... they cannot act, and hold one facial expression the entire time. Yuck.

So that;s why Recipe for Love has that ML - to cater to the audience that cares ONLY for a pretty and young face and could care less for acting... and then Uncle actor is needed to make the drama amazing with his acting and yeah his good looks too.

And cdramas are greatly responsible for this demand for "young and pretty face and ZERO acting skills" zombie epidemics. I really wish to end it. I want to see ACTING, not a fashion show.

I think the word is EXPRESSIVE. This actor is fantastic when he can EXPRESS and INTERACT in ways that are meaningful and friendly, with underlying warmth.
Bc I am not sure if he can express and interact in a, say, gangster movie, where ppl interact to do something bad... I wonder if he can do say a tight-knit gagster group that e.g. steals ... ? Probably not...
Like actor who was a great loving dad in Twinkling Watermellon and also the most monstrous killer in Hello Monster and TO My Beloved Thief - his usual acting face with that kinda "spaced out smile" can be used for roles of killers or loving dads...
Then here are chameleons like FL actress from Nice to Meet You - she is totally completely different in every role she does... from villain to nerd to .... Hm but the common thread is prickly...

So right now we are sure this ML is great any time it is a role that EXPRESSES WARMTH. Is warmth required or just expressing? Just trying to cast him more :) but if he is Mr. Warmth then he can have a whole career of just that :) he could be great as lover/family member/friend from .. a pair of loser thieves suffering, or as a rich and careless member? I can totally see him in a rom com where two loser people are trying to make it in the world. Kinda Fight My Way feel

He is for sure GREAT for rom coms, family dramas, any roles of human interaction that is based on certain honesty and friendliness.

Yes, this actor is just FANTASTIC for friendly, for comedy, for certain lightness and warmth of normal people in daily life, and he cannot even pretend cold, snotty, show off, arrogant John Wayne type :) It is clear he forces himself to be like that and doesnt like it :)

And his amazing contribution as an actor is that his being that way ENABLES OTHER ACTORS TO SHINE. E.g. FL has woken up too since he started interacting, bc he is so not threatening, it is so easy to act naturally next to him and to totally relax and play with the role. Scenes of FL telling him she is a good girl, etc are all hilarious.... .

So.... When he is allowed to act as he naturally would and INTERACT, everyone else has a chance to act more.

He actually is a FANTASTIC RESOURCE. Whoever can use this amazing gift is gonna make some amazing dramas and movies. This is a real actor.

The tsundere roles are meant for "pretty ppl who cannot act" i.e. fashion models, idols, etc who cannot really act but only hold ONE facial expression for photographs - that expression of "gloomy serious" that is supposed to be seductive in advertisements; or, fear/anxiety for women.
REAL ACTORS DO NOT NEED THOSE ONE-DIMENSIONAL ROLES :)

he reminds me of the My Adjushi ML, who was also an actor who made everyone acting next to him schine. Both he and FL were so unkept, dreary, yet THEY are the actors I remember the most from hundreds of dramas I have seen.

I think the gift of My Adjushi and also of this ML actor is that they are so ... ego-free in their role and so natural in it, that the actors next to them can totally relax and really give it their best, really get into the role without any back thoughts, really get in and PLAY with it - because the actor next to them is also so natural and "playing" with it.

So I really hope they let ML actor in Our Happy Days be expressive as much as he wants. He really needs a director with a good eye

There are many thug characters, but the main ones are The TWO Korean-Chinese thugs that protect their ppl and keep violators "reflecting", PurpleHead (somehow related to Fiance) and her bae BoldHead, Fiance'sFriendKeepingWatchOverFL (going to kidnap FL with BoldHead), and the OldManInJail and ColorfulShirt (who was Chairman's chaufeur) - somehow related to FL bc OldManInJail went to jail to cover up for death of FL's ... parents or HS? I have to review that. Now a new thug is introduced, he will buy FL from BoldHead.

There are TWO to FOUR distinct groups of thugs See spoiler

PoJ ML is ugly to me bc he has that weird generic unhealthy AI face and peronality of cardboard and one facial expression all the time. John Wayne type of guy. Toooootaaaalllyyyyy BOOOORING. YOu know who else? ML in Sold Out on You. He does have a handsome face but his Clint Eastwood facial expression from Good Bad and Ugly facial expression all the time makes him unsufferable and unwatchable. Plus the FL turned totally silly petty and dumb... I dropped that drama real fast.

Imo: Recipe for Love ML is super charming and cute and very very handsome. He is so well dressed too, it looks perfect. And such a nice guy :) Except that he was stepmommy's boy, he practically had no other faults. And I think ML and FL are a great pair, they always talk it through and come to an agreement and move on forward. They are a good team.

Yumi Cells season 1 dude was a hot stud, season 2 was handsome but slimy and gloomy, and season 3 ML is a darling, he is so gentle and honest, and very cute, that deer he sent really represents him. He is very handsome and a nice guy. I would really like to see more about his cells.
Some cells are a surprise, like that editor's cells who look like superheroes.... wow I never expected that, but makes sense, that is a chief editor...

One actor who was ugly to me was ML in Our Happy Days. He is one of those modern super skinny pale actors... and so he looked so tired and had only poker faces... But recently, he 'woke up" and has a lot more friendly scenes with FL, and he is so good at it, so charming and so nice, extremely endearing, cute and handsome.

A man is not beautiful just bc he did platic surgery and got a pretty face. A man is beautiful when his soul shines in his smile and his eyes, and also, his words and behavior. Also, when he takes care to be in good shape. And yeah, when he is a nice honest genuine person.

So remember that and you will see ZILLIONS of very beautiful men all around you :)

The same holds for women - the one all dolled out and ah so pretty may be so bland, dumb and/or mean that it just makes her totally ugly. OR her looks can be untouchable, like in drama 200lbs Beauty... But again, if you start looking around for REAL you will see many women who actually shine under the radar.

I think BH is not the smartest guy but a very great, loyal, honest guy and that actor is doing a great job of conveying that character.

Hm you are slandering me. The fact is, I watched ep 1 of PoJ, I saw many clips and photographs, and I found them all cringe - and you will not change my opinion :) i really dislike that totally fake POMPOUS "ah so gloomy and serious" no-acting style :)
I totally think ML actor in PoJ is just a decorative ornament and I dislike actors like that, and furthermore, I find him ugly to watch bc he is so artificially unreal. I think PoJ is ... a trashy soapy soap that kills brain cells. I agree with the Chinese military/gvmt view on PoJ and similar idol and idol-like dramas :)
I find them devoid of creativity, uniqueness, expression, messages and deeper meaning.

I think ppl watch PoJ and such just to see some "pretty" and that's it.

I understand why ppl would watch it just to watch some "good looking" guy. If that is the case, pack up to Hawaii, North Shore, O'ahu, during surf season, and feast your eyes on the most gorgeous guys in the world. Hula dancers are also awesomely handsome but many are gay. Paddlers also look amazing. Ah male Tahtian dancer are awesomely good looking. And they all SMILE and have personalities that are fun A lot better than a cardboard flat gloomy porcelain doll actor. :)

If I am gonna enjoy looking at a male actor, I rather see someone who is REAL, has a personality, expresses, acts, is energetic, moves around, someone healthy radiant, vibrant, ENERGETIC - so many nice guys to look at rather than PoJ and similar deadbeat skinny tired lifeless "men"who look like anorexic girls - who look like frail pocerlain dolls, so skinny and good only to sit on the couch all day and pose for photoshoots and always have that gloomy self-important look tha is just STUPID. And the white glazed faces - usually triangular like aliens - are the SAME on all those actors, you almost cannot tell who is who. Yuck.

In any case, I really like Filing for Love, it has such great acting, ML is a phenomenal actor, he expresses such a wide range so well, AND on top of it, he is handsome, and FL bonces off his acting so well. plus all the other hilarious side actors, it is so fun, such a dynamic fun drama! Enjoy watching!

For amazingly great and expressive male actors who are also drop dead gorgeous, UNIQUE, CREATIVE, and REAL in their looks and acting, from the top of my head I can think of - Shopping King Louis ML, Heros Next Door ML and SML, Scarecrow ML, The Nice Guy SML villain, etc. Hm even Reverse ML.

But a male actor who is forever etched in my mind is My Mister ML. THAT is ... a wow wow wow wow acting. In his role, he is not even super handsome, he is kinda run down and depressed and unkept and all dreary - but wow is he memorable and catchy!!!! His PRESENCE, heart and his mind just shine and he dominates the drama YET he also makes the FL and SML totally shine and be memorable too. It is such a skill to be a lead actor like that!!!!. In fact, those are some of the most memorable FL and SML roles I have even seen. And FL was also dreary unkept... SML with that ugly round haircut with bangs... but so memorable!!!!

So you dont even have to have a super handsome/pretty ML or FL to have a 100000% mesmerizing show. Just need PRESENCE and GREAT ACTING. but try to explain that to idol fans :) Cannot :)
