yes, i hope people can understand this and stop looking for the colorful and playful vibe that hidden love brought…
it's always the POV of the girl for both shows. but WYF has the similar financial and family background to DJX. It's a wonderful thing that they met Sang Zhi and Sang Yan in their lives.
Despite coming from the same the universe, Hidden Love and First Frost have entirely different energies. Based…
this is basically the reverse of hidden love. If instead of Sang Zhi, the POV was Duan Jiaxu's. Because Wen Yifan is the same as DJX. They're both alone, poor, have family complications etc. Each of the Sang siblings are their light on this world.
Honestly, i like having this continuation of the story. We've seen Sang Yan from HL and though it's a different actor, the character is the same. IMO, both the MLs of HD and FF are the most interesting characters for both stories. Though they have opposite backgrounds (rich or poor) the guys are both dependable, kind and strong (thats why they are bestfriends). They are also steadfast to their girl. On a similar note, the FL's of both stories are shy and timid. This plays the same for both stories, the guys have to shine and step up to open up the girls' hearts.
The on-location scenes for the Eastern Seas were gorgeous. I bet the actors were cold though with all that sea…
that one episode where they were eating dinner along with the westers, and ran ran said she's gonna live and get married someday. their breaths are fog.
They said in the earlier episode, i forgot which one, but when he met the fake MQG SY said something along the…
hahaha. yeah. after years of watching many cdramas iāve been looking out for these gems and this one seems to be just lacking that time-has-passed element. Cause if that was well in place, then this would be an epic like Ten Miles of Peach Blossom, that sorts. and i wanted it to be, š this is giving off same vibes as Miss the Dragon. maybe because of Deng Wei? idk, a xianxia thatās also strongly an idol drama thatās what im gettingā¦

im not trying to argue. im just really trying to piece together gaps. since they really didnāt mention it. i was just looking for a time indicator or plot point to really show that 19 years has passed. a lot could change in almost 2 decades. itās like everything is the same as when MQG left. except for mt wester (with sys being the master and new disciples)
but nvm, iāll take that āknown factā to piece together gaps. š
oh, but did you watch the ending? all those mystery, and investigation was because he loves her. and the ending was cheesy af. it became a surreal romantic comedy-drama like Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

oh, right. so they have to at least really indicate that there was some sort of age preserving cultivation they did to explain how they should be still so young.
the guy who loves her is a nerd who has loved her since they were young. and he tries to do everything and research, investigate "the rules" just to get close to her. In the end, even if he got hurt, and almost dies, he found the key. She has to love him back and that ends the curse. they get together in the end.
When you love someone, dont let her go. If you keep going and never give up, love will find its way to you.
I love the whole point of this movie. I just watched it because of the ongoing Kdrama, titled "The Witch" this is pure romance. reminds me of the greek myths of Psyche, and Medusa. But the guy who loves her is obviously the cupid, he is a nerd who has loved her since they were young. and he tries to do everything and research, investigate "the rules" just to get close to her. In the end, even if he got hurt, and almost dies, he found the key. She has to love him back and that ends the curse. they get together in the end.
How in the world are Su Yu, and consort Fei, still as young as they were 19 years ago? i could understand SYS if he doesn't look older because he's a cultivator. but the others were ordinary mortals so they should age right? only MRW and MQG should look young despite being alive since long ago, since they were reborn...
