In a flashback scene in an earlier episode, we see Thup as an infant, with an oddly-colored left eye.
Later when we see Thup as an adult, the difference in eye color is noticeable in some scenes. The right eye is a sortof golden hazel brownish color, and the left eye seems to be more gray. So far there's been no explanation for the oddity.
But in Ep 3 - it looks like his eyes are the same color.
I went back and looked again, and I'm still seeing his eyes as the same color.
A thought-provoking short film about a man who can't move on after a breakup, which seems to have happened a long time ago.
He's a photographer who used to specialize in color images. But his world and his photographic vision have both lost their joy and energy, and now he can only work in black and white.
He's caught up in the memories of that past relationship, still fantasizing about intimate moments with his ex, still gazing sadly at old photos, still unable to happily date anyone else.
Even when he's outside in the sunshine and fresh breeze with a potential new love interest, there's a melancholy stillness that lives on his skin. His heart is locked in a windowless room, and he's simply not motivated to find the key.
Personally, I really felt this story. At one time my own heart was locked in that windowless room. My own world lost its color for a while. I lived this film.
The ending is not a conclusion. It's just a signal that he's not ready to move on yet. But maybe he will be, some day.
I agree, the silly tantrums and general stupidity are annoying. I want a smart villain, not just a hot, dumb one.
Exactly. The way his character is portrayed in the series, he's not much of a foil for Pheem. I would rather have seen much more of a battle of wits between the two brothers.
But on a separate note......many comments here on this page talk about how they want to see Jet (Chet) have some kind of relationship with the bodyguard.
But HOLY CRAP, would YOU be attracted to a screaming toddler in an adult body? How in the world would anyone? I mean, I can see why everyone would say that. There is some chemistry, but UGH. I feel for the bodyguard.
I am enjoying everything about this series......except for one thing.
Jet (Chet) and his SCREAMING tantrums.
His emotional maturity apparently stopped advancing around the age of 3.
Of course his feelings / emotions / anger / jealousy / frustration / fear / despair, etc are important to his character. But did they have to make him such a big freaking diaper baby, basically? A screaming toddler who needs to be put in the time out corner for a few YEARS until he calms his childish ass down???
Although it's not a fast-paced series, the story and the characters have still drawn me in. I watched Ep 4 today and panicked a little. I was thinking it was the last episode and wondered how they could end it like that.
But per the comments below, it sounds like there will be a few more episodes. I'm glad, because I need to know how the story finishes.
After watching that video, I am even angrier than I was before.
So basically, the companies got into a giant pissing match with all kinds of legal fuckery, and in the process, pretty much DESTROYED the mental and emotional health, as well as the amazing partnership, of two incredible actors.
That's why Smart and Boom STILL both look sad sometimes, and they both say there are things they are not allowed to talk about.
Top Form aside (because it looks like there will never be another couple-ship for them, related to that series).......are they legally not allowed to work together anymore, in ANY capacity?
The other side of the coin might be that.....even if Smart and Boom were allowed to work together again......they got so close during Top Form that they might not want to deal with any emotional entanglement with each other, for fear of getting hurt again (by the companies).
The whole situation is infuriating and heartbreaking.
Now that months have gone by since the devastating breakdown of Smart and Boom's relationship with their companies and each other, can anyone explain what ACTUALLY happened?
So many confusing stories were crashing around on the internet, and I never understood the sequence of events and how Smart and Boom were forced apart as a paired couple. There were versions that blamed the companies, and there were versions that blamed the actors - especially Smart in particular.
All I know for sure is that during press conferences and at fan events, they were kept apart or only allowed to sit near each other if they didn't interact or make eye contact. At all of those, they both gave the impression that they wanted to say SO much, but there were invisible hands around both of their necks preventing them from revealing anything.
And multiple times I saw tears in their eyes.
Does anyone have REAL information about what happened? Hopefully with legitimate links (not Reddit, not Instagram, not Twitter, etc.....I mean real links that explain both what happened with the companies and also what happened between Smart and Boom) so I can read more about it?
Whatever happened, it still makes me sad. They are both amazing actors, they had **incredible** chemistry, and they both had such potential for future projects. But they were ripped apart, and it was devastating for them and us. I just want to understand why.
Love the Leon reference. Okay, this will definitely show my age.Leon: The Professional (1994) was a film about…
Years ago I developed a MASSIVE crush on Jean Reno after I saw Leon: The Professional. (I'm showing my age, too. In fact I'm probably older than you, lol.)
- the fact that the male leads are in an established gay relationship. There's no need to build / develop / go through all of the growing pains of a new relationship. For them it's just a FACT of their everyday lives. It's not a specific focal point of the series. That's so refreshing, and it's very different from other series. It also just feels very natural, and it frees up a lot of the story and screen time to focus on their detective / divorce attorney experiences, as well as the arc with Hajime's sister.
- the natural chemistry between the three main actors - the two g-uncles and the young niece. It's WONDERFUL to see them just flowing, and that young girl is an EXCELLENT actress.

Side note - I keep wondering if Anna's mother will get to leave the hospital, or if she's got a terminal illness and is trying to make sure Anna has a safe and loving home to go to if something happens to the Mom. If that is the case, the transition to living with her g-uncles will be seamless, because they already love her to bits.
Was anyone else besides me hoping for a major change in Pooh's acting now that he's in a different series?
Is anyone besides me disappointed that his acting is exactly the same as it was in Pit Babe 1 & 2?

Am I the only one who sees that?
Hmmmm.
Ao Ruipeng had to take matters into his own hands to deal with some nutjobs who were stalking him.

It is such a massive turn-off.

EDIT:
After watching that video, I am even angrier than I was before.

CORRECTION: Ep 2, part 1 and 2.
As long as it's not toxic like "Secret Relationships" was, lol. (Although TBH, that was a very good series.)
And I have to say, all FOUR of our guys are gorgeous, each in their own way. This is going to be an interesting series.
I am thoroughly enjoying this series.
A couple of things I really like:
- the fact that the male leads are in an established gay relationship. There's no need to build / develop / go through all of the growing pains of a new relationship. For them it's just a FACT of their everyday lives. It's not a specific focal point of the series. That's so refreshing, and it's very different from other series.
