I still can’t get over how bad the music editing is. Why is there dramatic war music (almost sounds like Star…
Like when he's on a taxi playing a game and trying to convince the taxi-driver (who we've met for like the 10th time now) that it is for work, with it meant to be a bit of a comedic gag but the music playing as if he's about to deploy a nuclear bomb.
I'm really liking it and a bit perplexed over the MDL rating for a K-Drama, seems a bit low.
I do however agree with a few comments in regards to the use of the music OST, it's not exactly a track is over-used but that music in general is played a bit too much even when he's riding a taxi with the same damn taxi-driver. I swear in like the first 4 episodes, I've seen that taxi driver be the ML's ride like 8 times already, it's obviously deliberate and is meant to be a slight comedic scene but the use of music during those scenes are a poor choice.
Lol, "vanish", people tend not to live on this site and I'd say people shouln't be living/lurking 24/7 on any website.
Read the comments, I feel like you just haven't at all and just ranting after seeing one sentence.
"Step siblings who did grow up together and enter into a sexual relationship may give the impression of it being incestuous, but as incest requires a biological relationship, it is still not incest." - cmschatton
My thoughts on the above quote are when you are growing up, you are acknowledging them as your sibling, it is morally wrong and will be frown upon by society if the relationship goes beyond a sibling relationship but obviously there is no biological connection between the two. It is indeed a sticky subject.
You showed yourself the clown by not even reading or a severe lack of reading comprehension on what I wrote, as I literally said incest is wrong regardless of them being half or step siblings.
For the step sibling situation it's dependent on what age their parents got together, if they're parents got married when they're in their twenties, that means they didn't grow up with each other and some people will frown upon it, if they start a relationship but for all intents and purposes they are strangers.
I on the other hand was mainly talking about that K-Dramas for like the past 5 to 7 years have been playing it safe what they're offering with the majority just being the same drama with different characters and variable in them. Only a few dramas have actually stood out during the time and the reason why they choose to be safe these days is perhaps because of the international audience that watch K-Dramas on the legal streaming platforms. If they were to dare I say do something niche or extreme, they believe the audience won't watch it.
I haven't watched the show but does that mean they're step-siblings unless they share a mother, that would mean they're hald-siblings.
If they're half-siblings, it's wrong. If it's step-siblings, it's also kinda wrong but highly dependent when their parents got married, was it when they were children or adults.
As for glorifying incest, is it really doing that?
I think K-Dramas need to start stepping out of the norm, it's too safe and genuinely getting tiresome and boring with every rom-com having to have an episode or 2 dedicated to them going into the rural countryside and the FL having to wear grandma clothes because her normal clothes got dirty or something or need to sleep over and they're only spare clothes. In almost every K-Drama something silly happens a couple episodes before the finale where the couple break up and get back together fairly quickly soon after.
Firstly to all those concerned about ohh that's the n-word webtoon they are foolish that they would adapt something…
How long ago did that happen? It sounds like the author didn't take account that his webtoon would be available to the rest of the world as he probably only produced the webtoon for only a Korean audience in mind and wasn't expecting any backlash.
What's worse is that no one has scanlated the manga and the manga doesn't even have an entry at myanimelist.https://www.mangaupdates.com/series/fg7v6yd/tokyo-camouflage-hour
I'm going to assume and say that MAL (myanimelist) is much more active community than MDL, since it's anime. I mean even before an entry is added, it's usually vetted by the communicty managers/MAL moderators to see if it's real and if adheres to the rules for being added to the database.
I remember when MDL got started, I thought it was a sister site to MAL at first.
I do think that it will get a manga entry on MAL because of this drama in the near future.
I just found out about her passing and I wondered if I had seen anything with her in it and it was "A Sleeping Forest", I legitimately watched this back in 2006 or 2007 (almost 20 years ago) and she was the main FL and I vividly remember the story about this one with her and KimuTaku.
HiiI'm very interested in your opinion as a Manga reader! Can you please tell me if the drama's ending resembles…
Your English is brilliant by the way.
The manga just recently finished, where have you been reading it? On a website or in the Kiss magazine? If so, what website?
I want to read the manga now that I have finished the dorama and see for myself how different they are especially at how Kyoko is more cruel in the manga.
Absolutely loved this show and in particular the bouncing-off nature of the banter that Komugi shared with Matsukaze.
It was pretty much red herring after red herring with multiple cliffhangers and the anticipation to watch the next episode was definitely built up and in particular if you were watching the show week by week.
I enjoyed this show quite a bit and I did like the slightly deranged performance by Kim Shin Rok, which reminded me of her sensational performance in "The Kidnapping Day" (one of the best shows of 2023, if not the best one to be honest).
I was debating for a short time whether to give this a 8.5 or 9 but I ultimately settle with a 8.5 out of 10 rating for this show. It a fun watch with a decent amount of action, a lot of laughs and cute moments.
So right after I finished watching "Who saw the peacock dance in the jungle?" (absolutely loved it) on the weekend, I started watching this and just could not stop even though the last 2 episodes of "Undercover High School" (which I enjoyed) had come out, I just had to finish this series before watching that.
The entire journey was beautiful, from the characters and the aesthetics, they made the small town seem "lived-in" rather than being a set. Also, kinda funny that Taro-chan drew his mother has a fat lady when she's actually far from it, I had a little chuckle when I saw that.
I'm not sure why but it just reminded me of an anime called Ghost Hunt (I genuinely love this anime but I'm pretty sure only watched it once or at most twice almost 20 years ago). Perhaps, how the duo worked together to solve cases perhaps, obviously very different in Ghost Hunt, which had a darker tone and a lot more sinister cases.
I felt like all the actors and actresses played their roles really well, I especially adored Katayama Yuki playing as an ever-energetic Chiyo and just found out about the spin-off episode which unfortunately is not on VIKI at the moment. Matsumoto Honoka played Kanoko brillantly in protraying a brave and benevolent person who was also fragile and vulnerable from the bullying she endured during her childhood.
I could go on for a bit more but I'm gonna wrap it, it was a wonderful show and I would love to see a second season but if that unfortunately doesn't come to be, there is a manga this is based off and is actually fully translated, it's only 50 chapters and I'm curious at how the story ends.
Overall, I really loved this show and I'm giving it a solid 9.5/10.

As for this drama, hopefully it's good as both the screenwriter and director worked on Little Women, which was a pretty good thriller.

She passed away too soon.

I finished watching it last night and absolutely loved it.
