Why would Narukawa worry that his wrong charge of Rikiro would taint his daughter’s career? No one knows she’s…
I didn't know it was wedlock, I thought their history was more to do with being a horrible husband to her mother and an awful dad to her.

I was surprised to an action political thriller drama that has an almost 50/50 male to female main cast ❤️❤️❤️…
Have you watched Gannibal?

Is it just J-Dramas watchers (I watch both) tend to rate shows lower than the average only-K-Drama watcher at MDL?

Like a 8.2 rating of a J-Drama on MDL is almost equivalent to like 8.7 to 8.9 rating for a K-Drama maybe even more. Personally, I rate things rather differently to others by minusing 0.5 points off the score for everything that I think that makes the show worse, so I do tend to give out higher ratings in general I reckon.

I'm probably tripping and stepping on people's toes.

Does anyone know how much of the manga this drama series adapts of it? Like all of it or just half of it?

It is an easy watch but uses the same formula as most chaebol x ordinary person couple rom-coms do like Business Proposal and King the Land.

Nice music, cute chemistry but generally a lack of ideas, the enemy to lovers aspect of the show was really weak and even though the premise sounded interesting at first, kinda fell flat to be honest.

Overall, I'm giving this a 8/10, even though the series was only 12 episodes, it felt like it was too long and dragging it's legs along in the second half of the final episode.

It's not political, it's makjang thriller. That means over the top everything (villains, plotlines, main leads,…
More to do with not having enough time to be honest, I'll give it a shot though.

What kind of show is this? Sounds like a political thriller.

Haven't watched it yet but I'm just a little concerned whether it's worth it or not because some people are calling this "mid".

Both the DVD and Blu-Ray release date is 25th April 2025, so we gotta wait for a while. I'm kinda surprised that…
Oh yeah I agree on that, I've seen the blu-ray/DVD take up almost 2 years to come out after the initial cinematic release when it comes to Japanese media.

Omg his daughter!!!Also the Akazawa couple were living separately at the time in the past? the hell does that…
I think it might be a hostess club (Diamond Company) and I think you might be right that it is Akazawa's wife that is Ikumi considering she had money that her husband doesn't know about when they were separated.

What's funny is like 2 or 3 days ago, I wrote it about it being possibly Narukawa as it had to be someone superior to her in some way in the discussion forum over here.

Makes sense that his daughter was questioning whether he killed those people or not.

As for the killer of the Hayashikawa case, I'm not sure it's actually either Narukawa or Akazawa, I do think Akazawa and his wife either know the whole truth or some of it. Akazawa's wife feels terribly unhinged but I understand she wants to protect her son from her husband's actions in terms of the birth certificate forgery unless he's done something worse which might get revealed if Komugi digs deeper.

I absolutely love this series and wholy subscribe to the slower pace in unraveling the mystery rather than you find everything out in the first 4 episodes and then be forced to watch the remaining 12 only for the last episode to finally reveal the very last clue you needed. However, each to their own, it just sucks that this show is being rated 7.6 over here when it's genuinely just a solid show compared to many higher rated shows on MDL.

The reason I have doubts about who the real killer from 20 years ago is the motive, what do the potential suspects gain from their deaths. I think Hiroshima Ikumi will eventually provide some answers for us, I think she might be either owner or a hostess from the Diamond Club (the brochure that Kami had). Perhaps even a former hostess, an alias used by Kyouko Akazawa (Akazawa's wife) when she was living separately from him and that's how she earned her money.

I googled Diamond Club Japan and thought maybe this is it:-

People are going nuts, his MDL page is just ppl calling him names and wishing him death. People are way too comfortable…
I'm not engaging further with you since it's become obvious that you are just a rage-baiting troll that does NOT care for the death of Kim Sae Ron or even the truth.

EDIT:-

They just added a bunch of his shows onto their list as if they even watched them and rated them lowly (review-bombing something they didn't even watch).

They gave:-

Queen of Tears - 2/10
It's Okay Not to be Okay - 2/10
My Love from Another Star - 1/10

This is why MDL ratings are generally in the gutter because of people like them.

Just realised you are nuts.

You gave Queen of Tears 2/10, It's Okay Not to be Okay 2/10 and My Love from Another Star 1/10.

Your list are just become useless because of what you just did, you are nothing but a troll.

Probably should have said Western World, I'm ethnically Asian but born and raised in London, England. I don't think it matters where you come from, it's gross to many when you look at it.

SK's laws were fucked up in that context which allowed this to happen. However, I think I should wait for more information before going any further because right now it's being claimed that they dated at those ages but without any concrete proof as far as I know.

What's being said is that they started dating back in 2016, the ages (15 and 27) in question is definitely gross. South Korea's age of consent was 13 and only revised to 16 in May 2020, in that part of the world, no crime was committed.

If everything is true regarding when they started dating, it will not sit well with many people's stomach. However, ppl should probably step back and think this is not America.

so the manga has ended in japan, the drama will have a proper ending
Damn, only 3 episodes to wrap it all up and reveal the killer.

The final volume was released today, the manga's final chapter was most likely released a couple weeks ago on the magazine it was seralised in.

A volume of the manga apparently contains 4 chapters, so it's probably 28 chapters in total, with the first 8 chapters being scanlated in English and then up to Volume 5 Chapter 17 being scanlated in Vietnamese.
