Who Cares if Knetz or Nobodys Like you Forgive her or Not, Back in the Teenager Days we All did Stupid Things..…
Dumb question but I have a feeling you are a teenager and not an adult, so that's probably why you hold such anger for something that didn't happen to you. When you are a kid, you do silly things, I personally never did, people tried to fight me and I fought back but I was picked on for no good reason but that changes when you hit 16 and above. For me at school, my education was most important because of my Asian parents.
Yes. Only appearing on radio and ambassadorial occasion.
She had a baby in 2023, so I assume she is just raising her child and as you said focusing on her family at the moment. I'll reckon she will come back to acting in the near future.
It's not as good as the first season but in general it does feel like season 2 is more of a "set-up" season for season 3 rather than having a "standalone" vibe of the first season.
At first, I thought the start to season 2 was kinda slow and the first 4 or 5 episodes, the show felt somewhat like a black comedy, it just became funny in an off-beat way rather than the gripping intensity that was overflowing in the first season.
I had watched the first 4 episodes before taking almost a 3 week break from it but I felt the need to go back and finish it as a lot of vidoes of Squid Game 2 cast being interviewed or made to do challenges together on YouTube and I didn't want to get spoiled too much as I already encountered a few spoilers whilst taking a break from it.
The 2nd half of the season definitely felt better and I just knew there was something fishy about the captain, he kinda looks like the son of Oh Il-Nam (I legit thought the actor of Oh Il-Nam had a mole on his face but doubl- checked and he hasn't).
Overall, I did come to like this season and I'm giving it a 8.5 out of 10.
Lol that’s a funny coincidence that we have the same name 😂 I appreciate your comment, but I'd like to clarify…
I mentioned "A Silent Voice" because I've actually only read the manga for it and I was trying to think of a story where one of the main characters has a disability. I haven't seen the anime for it properly, I think I watched the first 10 minutes and didn't go back to it, it wasn't bad or anything, I just need to sit down and watch it.
However, I always thought it was odd that they didn't do a TV series but a movie instead because there's so much to the story that I feel like a 2 hour movie would not be able to adapt it properly.

Nah, I completely get it, we are all individuals with different tastes. I look at Goong and Full House as both incredible K-Dramas but they were also the first 2 K-Dramas I watched.
As for the predictable plot, you just can not get away from that when watching a K-Drama as you almost always start any drama with the leads butting heads and then them slowly falling for each other's charm. Eventually, a random 2nd lead who joins the love triangle or love polygon but stands no chance and you get to the half-way point and it's established that they like each other and most cases become a couple at this point. Then some sort of tragedy strikes that makes one of them think that they should break up or distance themselves from the other and then an episode or 2 from the finale, they get back together and have a happy ending sometimes logically and illogically.
I just had a bit of a problem with WTPR as I was expecting it to be kinda like Koe no Katachi (A Silent Voice) and Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection) with the show's focus being on her disability, her struggles and the couple becoming in love. However, all of that was thrown out the window by the end of the first episode with the focus shifting towards their childhood abuse (felt like an excuse to continue the story). I'm pretty sure by the second episode, I already knew who was the killer, who he was and why he was doing it and then 1 or 2 episodes more, you kind of have the entire picture leaving little for imagination and intrigue.
It felt really half-baked but the worst offense for me was the ML deciding to go to Argan which is currently a hot warzone and the reason he went was so he can separate from the FL because of his father's sins. Nothing is ever explained in why he's at such a place besides him liking the sunset, supposedly he's on a mission and I'm like what skills does he have for such a thing, he's never truly been apart of the military or the special forces to tackle on such a mission. His background is pretty much journalism, for the drama it felt like it was just tacked on to appease fans of the webnovel/webtoon, in the context of the drama it could have been handled differently like perhaps going to the States to study or take on a new job.
The WTPR mdl page's comments are wild and out of hand as both sides of the love and hate for the show are attacking each other distastefully.
When I was 12 to 13 years old, I hadn't even watched a drama and I'm pretty sure I was just starting my anime journey at that age with the likes of Neon Genesis Evangelion and Love Hina. I started watching dramas (J and K ones) around about when I was 16. I'm assuming you started watching dramas from the age of 10 or something.
I do wonder if you would have viewed the drama different if you hadn't watched it weekly and instead binged it, also perhaps in the mood for a more unrealistic fantasy rom-com.
I realise now that there were some plot holes when it came to the G-Shock Time Machine because she goes back in time at random points in 2008, it wasn't explained in the drama, she pressed a button at midnight and thought of a time she wanted to go back to. I think the drama wanted to explore the romance more whilst using the thematic engine of time travel.
The Grandma was kind of a throwaway guardian angel, her calling Sun Jae her husband is more to do with a trope of dementia patients believing younger people to be their significant others, I've actually seen it happen when I worked a summer at a retirement home.
Before I started watching this (about a week ago), I had just finished "When the Phone Rings" which despite giving it a 8/10 (I unfortunately end up rating things highly) and I thought it was severely mid, should really be a 6 by me.
I always score a drama by deducting half a point from the max score for everything that I might consider a flaw to the drama. I came out of it thinking there were no flaws for me, the music was good, the chemistry between the main leads and cast was organic and sparkly, which allowed the romance to flourish.
The character growth was brilliant, particularly with how the FL became such an endearing and benevolent character, when the series started I was a little taken aback by her devotion to Ryu Sun Jae and brushed it off as a cringey K-pop stan but then you come to understand she's like that because she sees him as her saviour and how it becomes her mission to protect him. Kim Hye Yoon's performance was utterly enchanting for me in this drama and her character trajectory in the sense that I didn't like her at the start but then became completely enamoured by the end of it, which reminded me of her performance in Extraordinary You (which I can't believe it's been over 5 years since it came out).
Byeon Woo Seok just reminds me of a younger Park Seo Joon, he just does for me and loved his performance and the chemistry he had with Kim Hye Yoon.
I liked the fact that the time machine G-Shock watch wasn't just a one and done gimmick, the FL used it multiple times to change her and Sun Jae's fate eventually making an incredible difficult decision, you feel for her so much because of her plight.
I watched it over the course of a week, mainly 2 to 3 episodes a day and I'm wishing it was longer. I absolutely adore this drama and I am giving it a 10/10, I think this was the best drama of 2024.
This drama is definitely not one to watch whilst multi-tasking because I reckon you will miss out on minute details, I never do it because I prefer to watch the drama and that alone but my little gremlin of a sister watches a drama by doing multiple other things at the same time and even skims through an episode.
I'm going to say something that bothers me a little about Byeon Woo Seok's rise, what he achieved with 'Lovely…
Kim Hye Yoon was brilliant in Lovely Runner, I absolutely loved her performance and Byeon Woo Seok just reminds me of Park Seo Joon. I do feel Kim Hye Yoon should have got more roles in the past 5 to 6 years since Extraordinary You.
At the end of the manga, they've been married for a decade, have a adoptive son (who's been with them for 10 years,…
I spoiled myself by just reading the last chapter of the manga, I haven't watched the drama yet but I've heard the praise the series has got despite the creepy undertones of a power inbalanced relationship.
i need season 3, like they gotta show us what happens with them after highschool
At the end of the manga, they've been married for a decade, have a adoptive son (who's been with them for 10 years, he's a highschool student by the end of the manga) and have a baby boy (who I assume is their biological son).
It's left open ended, so you're wondering about their future.
So the final chapter is their adopted son (who I guess they adopt when he's like 3 or 4 years maybe even 6 years old), who is in high school I guess and stops a female teacher (or it could be the other way round on who was at the rooftop edge) from committing suicide by doing what his adoptive father did at the beginning of the manga.
Then it's after school and meets up with his family, his dad and mum (ML and FL) along with a baby boy. The parents are commenting how their adopted son is so like one and another, the kid tells them but he's adopted. However, they're one happy family sort of deal with a possibility of history repeating itself.
It's left open ended, so you're wondering about their future.
The manga ends it with them together and they have a family, they adopt a son and then I think they have a son together. They've been a family for 10 years at the end of the manga.
Also the 90 minute slaps is such BS, not even professional slappers can slap that long.

I haven't watched the drama yet.
