It's been 6 years since I watched it for the first time and now it's available in Netflix, so I watched it again.…
For me, I watched this like 18 or so years ago, I don't remember much of it besides the ML being a bit of an emo but that's expected especially since his mother committed suicide (I don't why I remember it as this, I could be wrong because apparently in the manga, his father kills the mother and daughter and then himself) and I had no idea there was a newer version of the series until of course I saw it pop up in the "coming this week/next week" on Netflix along with this version.
I remember there was meant to be a sequel for the TV show, which ended up being a movie, which I never watched unfortunately.
The ratings for Japanese dramas are often rated "lowly" over here, which is unfortunate as there are a whole load of fantastic J-doramas (not a typo lol). I'm thinking of watching the 2022 version now, your comment has piqued my interest.
I'm up to episode 18 and absolutely love the show and really like the ML because he's such a loveable goof and sure most of us just feel sympathy for him.
Do you guys think this series might be getting reviewed bombed in some fashion as there are people who are set upset and sadly hate the ML actor?
I enjoyed it for being lighthearted and the banter between the 2 leads when they were both teens and adults was great.
They dealt with the traumatic scenes rather swiftly and not mull over them for too long in other K-dramas but at the same time, made them seem less significant in a way.
Overall, it's a decent watch and I'm giving it a 8/10.
I've not seen a Jung Yu Mi in a drama for a while now and I think my favourite she's been in is "LIVE".
Yes, the dubbing in a studio is done for all Cdramas, including ones where actors use their own voices... it's…
I haven't watched a Cdrama in a very very long time and I don't remember it being the case but then again I think I had only watched about a couple of them about 10 to 15 years ago.
Is it really the case for all Cdramas to be done this way? If so, that's a bit annoying, I've been spoilt rotten by both J-Dramas and K-Dramas.
I really like this show that I literally have put Squid Game Season 2 on hold because of it. Mu Yao's actress Zhu Xudan is just stunning and really love her character arc.
I really do like this show but are they like doing a separate voice track in it or something. Like in episode 19, the characters are saying what they're saying but it looks they're being dubbed over with their own voice like as if when filming the audio wasn't clear enough, they then stitched in them reading their lines in a voice-over studio. It's off-putting.
She'll be fine. I'm sure a tree broke her fall, like the last time she plummeted from a great height. These things…
Masterpiece is definitely a stretch with this one and I think mainly to do with how easy it was to kind of deduce who the antagonist was from the first few episodes as well as the back and fourth with the ML and FL's 406 persona. It was silly how the FL was like still questioning if the ML knew the truth about her being 406 after the cliff fall incident.
However, we've all been kinda watching this as 2 episodes a weekend and not binge watching it. We all might have a slightly different take of the drama in how we watch it.
For me neither this or Love Your Enemy are masterpieces but definitely enjoyable shows that are able to fill the void, like do you think you will be giving this a 10/10? I'm thinking of giving this a 8 out of 10 maybe a 8.5 out of 10, really depends how the last episodes play out.
What rating would you give this show?

Personally, I think he's a good actor and he's great at playing loveable goofs.
MDL is a sad place these days by the review-bombing from stans.
I'm really having fun with the show.
EDIT:- Omfg, just saw an article about Russia's involvement.
