Title Killer and Healer Spoiler
I’ve watch this so many times and I’m still mad at main lead he got everyone killed even his love because…
This is actually a really complicated part of Chinese history - there is a reason many late Qinq and Republic Era period pieces focus on opium specifically and do kinda feel like a modern "war on drugs" - this is Copilot's summary of the Opium Wars:

//The Opium Wars were two significant conflicts in the mid-19th century between China and Western powers, particularly Britain and France. Here’s a brief summary:

First Opium War (1839–1842): This conflict arose when China attempted to suppress the opium trade, which had been illegally conducted by foreign traders, mainly British, from India to China since the 18th century. The trade had caused widespread addiction and social disruption in China. In response to China’s enforcement actions, which included destroying large quantities of opium, Britain sent naval forces to China. The war ended with China’s defeat and the signing of the Treaty of Nanking, which included ceding Hong Kong to Britain.

Second Opium War (1856–1860): Also known as the Arrow War or the Anglo-French War in China, this conflict involved Britain and France against China. It resulted in further military defeats for China and led to the Treaty of Tientsin and the Convention of Peking. These treaties forced China to legalize opium and make additional concessions to Western powers, including favorable tariffs, trade privileges, and territorial cessions.

The Opium Wars marked the beginning of the “Century of Humiliation” for China, characterized by foreign domination and the imposition of unequal treaties that compromised Chinese sovereignty and opened several ports to Western merchants.//

There is a reason He is so hyper focused. By the time of the Republic - 1912, the government was focused on fixing its citizens drug problem that was literally created by Great Britain and France.

Title Only Boo!
It's wrong. Shone knew the circumstances behind their breakup, he's not new to their situation.
Ok, I love this sho bc I love the main couple - they are my only ship in this series. I haven't seen this episode but I'm hesitant to hate Shone even assuming the worse. You just never kno how life will go.

This could easily be:

"A BL story about a man, Kang, that had a whirlwind romance with a future Idol, Moo, that left him broken hearted but better bc now he is confident in who he is and that he wants a relationship - which is perfect bc "the one" for him just so happens to be his Idol Ex's Cousin, Shone, who has had eye's on Him since Moo introduced Kang to him - as his Boyfriend. Six months after Moo and Kang's Idol Agency mandated break-up Shone decides he can't wait any longer..."

Thats just life. Even if Moo does still love Kang and that is a reciprocated feeling doesn't mean they will end up together. They are in fact, not together - for 6 months. That is long enough to move on - especially if you knew that was what you "had to do" or was "for the best" and that is also part of life.

There are only 2 episodes out so I can't judge the whole series. However, here are my thought for now:Gemini is…
Same Director tho.

Well, he was the AD on Moonlight but he was the Director for MSP.

and the constant comments about how cute yak and dee are together ONLY to ter? she is sooooo sus
I kinda got the vibe that she is into Ter and that she is sus about his feelings for Dee and she is just doing all that to gauge his reaction or start some drama, Idk

I hope Emi has a better role next time I see her - there were a few times I was really impressed with her in 609 Bedtime but that show was just a mess.

Since everyone else is covering drooling over these fine ass men, a couple of random thoughts:For the first time…
I really feel for Cher too - this last episode all the pieces came together for me. He has known for awhile something is up with Oye - he assumes its the finances and when that appears not to be the case, when he personally secured the finances that should have set them up for awhile and that did nothing to alleviate Oye's stress/distance - in fact he got more distant... the poor kid is prolly freaking out, it makes sense why he's following him.

I agree tho - its not cheating, Cher shouldn't be worried about that either, Oye is clearly so into him, that line "I already got the gold shop lady's son to be mine and he even works in my gym" - he is proud of the fact that he got Cher to like him. Cher is his trophy.

I really like their relationship - they communicate a lot without words, they are very believable couple.

Serious question.Dee is a doctor. Why is Yak allowed into the ward to see a patient that he's not related to?…
Curiosity - you said you were a healthcare professional, doesn't this sort of thing happen often? Athletes, celebrities, fireman, maybe even cops - visiting children's wards to lift their spirits I guess. Such thing is depicted in media so much I didn't even bat an eye at the whole scene.

If you had a child patient in similar situation and you happened to be seeing a famous athlete - lets assume in the sport was into, would you ask them to stop by? Or is this just way out of line?

The thing that got me about the whole scene was when Yak picked the kid up - I would never pick up someone's kid without permission and tbh, a really good reason to do so.

To me, sarcoma is a case for oncologists, not orthopaedic surgeons. This is not a case for Dr. Dee to begin with. So…
Ok, all the very good factual points aside - I mean, no sleep sleep wear... thats already a win in my book and the fact Dr. Kao is going to essentially be prescribing his own company's role playing outfits - thats just epic

The fact the Dr. Kao is also an ACE sex therapist is the mic drop - he is such a great character

Ok, I'm really enjoying this show - very solid production overall. Its pretty standard BL but the good stuff and a hospital not a university. Great acting, great chemistry between everyone but definitely the leads, all very attractive people and of course Great is great 😁😂

Warning tho -Drake be effortlessly stealing scenes just by playing his character real cute and if your not careful you might find yourself having to go back and re-watch a few scenes to find out what everyone else was doing fr - its almost not fair😅

As someone who is obsessed with vampires and watched and read and played all of the vampire stuff in the history…
Haha, it sounds like you went into this expecting something that it wasn't going to be - it was never going to be a vampire show. I don't kno how else to put it.

You made me laugh tho and I appreciate

Bro believe me i m so ready to ungay me if u can suggest me a treatment 😂🥶, never felt attracted to a women…
Gay isn't just a western thing Bud and you can't just get a treatment. You can either run and hide from that part of yourself or accept it. Just don't try to force yourself into someone else's mold of a life - it your life to live. There isn't anyone who you have to be - no "right way" to be a man. Whatever man you wanted to be you can still be and be gay. It might be a bit harder but thats life.

Its OK to like guys. Guys have been liking guys as long people have been liking people. Just don't deny who you are to yourself - fuck other people, literally even. Like all the guys you want.

Title Two Worlds
Last week I accepted that this show was not trying to be enjoyable and decided to stick with it because of my…
OK. This show might be bad - I haven't seen it but Thai BL is not defined by this show or even by the 20 shows like it that you think support your argument. Quite a few of the best BLs are Thai and there will be many great BLs from Thailand in the future.

You also have an odd understanding of how popular BL actors are/can be. In Thailand Cutie Pie was one of the biggest shows of the year. NuNew is a huge, huge celebrity rn. There is a reason a show that only has an MDL rating of 7.7 immediately got a second season, a spin off and that green lit a second show with this couple - because it was all wildly successful in Thailand.

The success of BL in Thailand and internationally is why there are so many Thai BLs that are just standard shows - just like how there are tons of standard comedies or straight romances out of the US this season, most will be lackluster, utterly forgettable shows with predictable plots. In both instances they are made bc they make money in their target demographics.

Additionally, regarding the popularity of BL actors and ruining their careers - BL seems to do the opposite, I just thought of how well the Untamed worked for its cast for example. For awhile in 2019-2020 Xiao Zhan, or Sean Xiao might have been the most famous actor on earth, I mean that literally.

What part-about them trying to figure out who did it and why, and what is the cure did you have a problem with…
Well, its not that I have a problem - it was just so obvious. At one point everyone around her knew about her issues but she didn't, that isn't a nice thing to do in general. They did it to her again later on the show when the Doc checks her pulse and tells everyone around (except her) that she was 2 months along - she didn't kno tho. The second time might have been more of a plot point bc I think it would have been a whole different decision for Ping Zhang had he known about the baby. Still tho.

What I find most interesting is that I didn't notice any of this before - I think I watched this in 19. I'm fairly certain I'm noticing this stuff bc of the aftermath of the Supreme Court overturning Roe vs Wade - that is actually a good thing, bc maybe other men will have similar experiences and that decision will backfire on the fundamentalists that made it happen.

Sadly no good looking actor in this drama hence I am dropping this. As much as this drama can be good, I really…
Haha, you must be young.

All those handsome young attractive men turn into the men your talking about - all it takes is time and much less time irl than it takes for the attractive celebrities to age on-screen.

As you age you'll find those young attractive men just look like boys.

This was an incredibly shallow comment tho and I guess I'm at least kinda happy to see that men don't have a monopoly on that.
All right, I enjoyed this - I think many aspects of this show are superior to the 1st Season - tho they are not as easily compared as a typical 1st/2nd seasons as they have different characters, themes, and plot. I'm re-watching it and I chose it over the 1st Season but that is primarily bc a revenge plot to me is something best enjoyed once.

My only real issue with the show is something I didn't even notice the 1st time but I can't stop noticing now and I find incredibly uncomfortable. Without spoiling the plot too much there is essentially a sub-plot where a women is the last to find out about her own reproductive abilities - like, essentially the exact opposite of conversations about women having abortions but just as messed up bc they are literally making all of these decisions for her or on her behalf or to spare her feelings and its all very f**ked up actually.

I didn't notice this the first time but I definitely notice it now.

It actually indeed was 1 long episode. It was originally a 20 mins short film that was screened at Korea Queer…
Build hype for who??

20 mins may seem like forever on tiktok but 20 mins isn't enough time to tell a good story very well.

People keep saying the word "beautiful" to describe this show and I've been thinking about this for awhile - it is the best word to define this, its a beautiful story. Its tragic but not a tragedy, heartbreaking but not a sad story, it isn't the plight of the characters that has brought tears to my eyes many many times, but how they overcome and carry on. The interplay with the novel is just fantastic - I loved how they found themselves retracing the authors steps and that scene on the mountain was again, just beautiful.

I can't remember the last time I was drawn into a Thai BL like this. Bad Buddy was the last one I watched. I usually…
Thai BL is why there is BL like it is today.

Bad Buddy is one of the most "streamlined" BL in existence - it was very good but their wasn't anything original about it other than how they used all the tropes.

Can anyone verify that it is really Square Enix that shut down the international release?

That actually makes me sad. I was so happy to see that logo in the intro, I don't know if I can explain how it made me feel exactly... almost normal maybe, I don't know. Japan has heavily influenced me - between anime and JRPGs, Final Fantasy was always my favorite, that was my youth right there. That is still who I am.

I just bought 14 to play with my Brother so we can spend some quality time together - that game has a monthly subscription. I can't in good conscious give money to companies that are homophobic. I've already given them so much money over my life, this feels like a betrayal in some respects.

So, if you can provide a link or if you just know for certain, please tell me.

If that is the case I intend to make everyone involved with that company aware of how incredibly disappointed I am with Squenix

I love this Thai adaptation and I don’t know why people need to even compare it to the Japanese TV adaptation…
This is exactly how I feel. Japan and Thailand are very different cultures and both create media that has distinctly their own feel - can be almost immediately identified as Thai or Japanese. Changing a series set in Tokyo to a series set in Bangkok does a lot more than change the buildings in the background.

The two shows feel completely different - which is the whole point of doing this! I've already seen this story - I don't want to watch the same story with different faces, it NEEDS to be more than that. For me, changing the culture was perfect.

I wish people would stop bitching about it bc I wouldn't mind a couple other shows getting this identical kind of remake. Not saying I want this to be a thing with all Japanese BLs - lots of them wouldn't in Thailand, just like a lot of Thai shows wouldn't work in Japan but there a few that would be great.

Tay and New are literally perfect for this. They are one of a handful of couples that I'll watch forever - like, they could be making BLs set in their nursing home and I'll be watching from mine.
