There are lines from this show I can quote months after watching it once.
It was very emotional but I feel like I'm better off having watched it - it just hits hard on so many things we'll all deal with in life. It was sad, I'm literally tearing up a little just revisiting it to write this, but it remains one of the most positive things I've ever seen.
Seems like just another fluffy high school BL but something about it really stuck with me - just hits different. Very talented young cast and the Director is the same that did History 2: Crossing the Line - one of the best BLs ever.
this is definitely one of the biggest let downs in recent BL memories.. it proves just because u like a couple…
What were you expecting? I've really enjoyed the show so far - I didn't even realize it was a slow burn. UWMA was so heavy and I like the lighter feel of this. This is one of my favorite Win projects for sure.
I might be biased bc I definitely do not think Boun is boring ๐
The lead role was shown to us as a completely straight and even womanizer person in the first episode. After 5…
It was a dream and he knew it - that is the reason he was wondering why he didn't wake up.
I definitely wouldn't call Dew a "strange man" and basing everything solely on appearances - I don't think he's threatening at all, even before he initiates the kiss and his doing that cut out a lot of small talk.
He's also quite the little cutie and reasonably open minded people often have different "rules" regarding attractive people they like. Plus they "met" in bed already. The way it all played out I think Mum was doomed from the start ;)
I think because OMSN stars Ohm and Fluke, so itโs being compared to 609. I didnโt watch OMSN either as the…
Further down the comments - Odessa_lady addresses this also and she might more onto what is going on - you should check that out. If she is right than it changes things a bit.
I really do like her - I want to believe its all going to end well for her. I'd probably finish the show tonight if all the episodes were out.
I can't speak to the other shows but with Mint I thought right away that she is kind of a reverse trope of a very…
Ohhh, the fake dating, that could totally be it. That is a little cruel of Dew to do that when she has been honest about her feelings. Thats interesting!
I think that you are spot on with the feelings are there or not - haha, but I had to learn the hard way and it took me years, far longer than it should. I've been Mint and ultimately I did do exactly what you said and just removed myself but I really wish someone had been around to tell me what you said - that was well put and great advice for anyone in that situation.

I'm impressed how many women just wouldn't tolerate being in this situation - took me years to get there. I actually just commented something similar further down the thread - your not the only one thinking that about Mint!
I really like Mint - she is a strong, independent, very capable, she has a powerful screen presence and is a beautiful women. I don't know where the writers are going with this particular storyline but I can say from experience if Dew was honest with Mint about his preference to men, I think she'd move on.
She is a strong beautiful women, if he likes women, why can't she have him or at least chase him? Her confidence is part of what traps her - that and Dew's dishonesty. I think the scene where she just rejects that he might like guys was significant - if they really are best friends she should know that. If he hasn't personally addressed his sexuality, he can't tell her bc he isn't being honest with himself.
Then there is that whole Cherry comment - so this might be like in Thailand, the strong women liking a weak/effeminate man. I don't know - that is pure speculation.
Thanks for bringing up the murder - I too am quite curious about that. There are a lot of potential suspects after this last episode. I like this show and am excited to see where it goes.
What is it with the writers loving the trope of a girl with no self respect? Who would actually go on for years,…
I can't speak to the other shows but with Mint I thought right away that she is kind of a reverse trope of a very common thing in the gay world - a one sided love. Many gay boys have fallen for their straight best friend - sometimes they've known each other since childhood and there wasn't always feelings between them and both do love each other, just not the same. Often these situations end tragically.
I'm not sure how much time passed between the orientation and the scene where they are making the posters - if that was like 2nd or 3rd year and they've been really close the whole time, than Mints a little more understandable.
Dew also isn't being honest with Mint by letting her know he's gay - that would change things for her, hence the whole conversation in the hall where she just rejects that he might prefer men despite Dew being Dew. He isn't telling her what she needs to move on - this also happens when men are in the closet, bc how can they tell without addressing their sexuality - they aren't even being honest with themselves yet.
Then the situation with Vee - that happens often too, falling for a guy that goes on to have a wife and kids - and you know, live a "normal" life. That really sucks too. Sometimes they really do want to have their cake and eat it too - I know people in similar to Vee's situation.
There is actually quite a lot going on with this show.
This is not a bad show. I like Fluke a lot in this - he's stronger than he normally is. Ohm gets a lot crap but he isn't a bad actor. I know guys that act just like him - I don't find his characters to be unbelievable. He is also incredibly handsome.
I wasn't lost once about what universe we were in - this theme keeps coming up so I think people just need to get better at paying enough attention to at least figure that out. They literally had breaks that told us what universe we were in.
I've seen hundreds of these shows now and I would like to see thousands more - so I say keep the unique stuff coming as long as possible, experiment and try different things, I'm along for the ride.
I didn't watch OMSN and this show is called 609 Bedtime Stories - I'm not sure why that other show is coming so much in the comments for this one. They are not the same.
I'd say don't take it too seriously but if your following comments on this site you must already have quite a thick skin - this place can be toxic at times. I've enjoyed the show - its got all the feels. I actually thought about how difficult this show actually is - its incredibly dark. Everyone they meet is going to die, every time they say goodbye its the last time and everyone is constantly aware of their imminent death. Kudos, that you could even make this feel fluffy at times.
Also, shows you direct always have something more to say - and it comes through, just know that. A few comments up this thread there is someone breaking down the political commentary - that's incredible given this medium.
Aam, I'll watch your next series and the one after that too.
@rahab75 Yeah that was uncalled for. Be thankful English is the global language and that you were fortunate enough to learn it well enough to know correct punctuation and spelling. You should appreciate that you are able to understand what someone is saying even they do not use correct punctuation or spelling - at least you can communicate and that is the whole point.
This was great until they completely changed the show. The first 15-16 episodes are the Grave Robber Chronicles we are used to - the next 16 are something else entirely. I couldn't watch the last half of this show.

I thought the 1st half was absolute fire.
I still can't believe it was so bad.
