Excellent review as always. I had very similar thoughts and the same rating. I possibly enjoyed it a bit more because I haven't read the novel and I treated it as a linear love story than a sad attempt at a harem drama so it was easier to swallow. I'd rather have them scrap out Zhang Zhe's screen time and give it all to the main love story instead of focusing on it only in the last eight episodes but oh well- those kiss scenes and my man's choking tendencies? I am so here for it. ;)

He is hardly the villain here lol He is a complete softie and makes quite a lot of dumb decisions - courtesy of sloppy writing for his part. He is adorable.
