OMG It’s over RL Fam. That’s craziness. What am I gonna do with my week? (Rewatch the series again and the BTS, of course). I am so glad they gave us a happy ending. But 33 minutes had my eyes bugging like SuoWei! Still, the ending was super sweet.
As someone predicted, no more kisses between our Chi Cheng and SuoWei in the last few episodes- interesting choice. I do wonder why they made it. Not that there weren’t other ways they expressed their love for each other- there were ample ways! In the novel, Chi Cheng’s “appetite” is just as voracious in the end as it was on D1. Is the lack of sexual intimacy on screen supposed to convey his character growth? Maybe. That’s how I’m gonna take it anyway. While the kiss at the end for ChengYu and Shuia shows Shuia’s growth in opening up fully for ChengYu, who remains steadfast and devoted. I get it. (I still wanted more lip locking for Chi Cheng and Wu SuoWei- I can’t help it 😂Theyre chemistry set my screen on fire.) I am still satisfied with the ending. I mean, they could have done us like Stay with Me.
Like many of you, I’m already going through withdrawals, “hoping” for a special episode or two 😂. We just can’t help ourselves, I know. 😉
Man, this has been one hell of a roller coaster ride. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed experiencing this series with you all. 😊 It’s been a great source of joy for me. I hope to see you all in future comment sections. And perhaps back here every so often as we rewatch and relive this summer. 😊
The drama was literally unexpected it deserves its hype 😭😭
I guess you can’t please everyone, you know? A small handful of negative comments amidst a sea of praise doesn’t stop me from absolutely loving this drama. I agree that it absolutely deserves the hype. And more. 😊
My take and to add on to what others have been saying about yesterday's episode is I think one of the reason why…
Yes! One of the things Chi Cheng loves most about WeiWei is his miserly ways. He says so to ChengYu when they’re talking about the allowance he gets and ChengYu sends him 50,000. So when Chi Cheng finds out this penny pincher gave up all his money for him, INCLUDING the house, he felt like he’d broken that part of SuoWei and couldn’t stand it. He absolutely loves SuoWei’s quirks. Even SuoWei explaining why the money means less to him than his need for Chi Cheng doesn’t make him feel better because he felt like he lost that special part of SuoWei- worse because he was the cause. Chi Cheng doesn’t eat his WeiWei to change for anything. This is what he hates.
The crying while eating got me all in my feels. I can’t wait for his release tomorrow.
Already like this adaptation of Love Sea WAY better than the adaptation of LITA. Still not a huge fan of the GL couple. Guess it’s really not my thing. 10 episodes is way better to tell the story than the 8 LITA had. Kunigami Masato is handsome af. I’m a fan. 😉 This is his first acting gig? Crazy. I’m gonna need more of him on my screen.
All posts about this are from secondary sources. They’re using “confidential production” as their source and reason why no info is publicized. I’d wait for more official sources before believing this. Internet rumors are crazy with how quickly they spread as “fact.” So hard to extinguish once lit.
guys has the preview not been upoaded yet?? I cant seem to find it
I agree. I think they’ll keep the final episode a secret until released. Makes sense to me. They did give us the rest of the episodes in a week, rather than prolonging it to the end of the month, as originally planned (whatever the reason behind it was). We can wait a day. I wouldn’t be surprised if they put off BTS clips for Ep23 until tomorrow, too.
Yeah, it was awful and way other people treated it like it was no big deal, wtf?!!!
I know! I was disgusted the entire time- I skipped through quite a bit, hoping the victim would have justice. But nope.
MDL listing this as “gay romance” was diabolical. There is no romance. Can we even say gay? The rapist has an obsession. Period. So because of this, everything he does to the victim is okay and forgiven? Nope. Even the non-con of Dangerous Drugs of Sex was “better” (using this term loosely) than this. No deeper meaning can be found in this because of the direction the went in the end. Glorificarion of rape is all it was.
Just don’t watch it. Literally no reason to do so. Tagging this as a “gay romance” is diabolical on MDLs part. It most definitely is NOT. Nor is it BL. Not even a little. It’s rape. Graphic rape. Followed by the glorification and downplaying of that horribly traumatic experience by others and eventually the victim. There is no true deeper hidden meaning in this movie. Seriously. Anyone who enjoys it needs to be removed from society and given professional help. Immediately. This is NOT a BL. There is no love or romance to be found at all. Anyone who says otherwise is a twisted individual.
The movie belongs firmly in the past- forgotten in a damp, moldy basement under musty discarded boxes covered in cobwebs and creepy crawly critters. Seeiously. Matter of fact, the basement belongs in a forgotten, decrepit house in an abandoned and forgotten town that has been buried under layers of dirt and debris, then filled with a lake.
My sincere advice: Just don’t watch it. Really. It deserves none of your precious time.
Absolutely agree with you. Why was this even made? Who gave money for this to be produced? Literally glorifying and “okaying” rape as a form of ultimate “love” crossing gender boundaries. What. the. actual. F! I can’t believe the rape scene lasted as long as it did. Graphic too. Like, I was disturbed for the actors- who wouldn’t need therapy after that, real or not? I really wonder what the director and screenwriter were trying to accomplish here if not the glorification of rape.

Please STOP with the vertical reel dramas. We dislike them.
Sincerely,
Tired and Fed Up KDrama fans
