Girl your post reminded me i have to write review for this 🤭 I completed it few days and felt so conflicted on what to rate it!

The disappointment was a little too much when I finsihed it with the way last 2 ep ended. The tonal shift definitely took me out! And the ancestral reveal was so ANTI CLIMATIC!
You are right. We have better theories and reasoning than grandpa 😂

But I loved it for the slow burn romance. Leads totally captivated me! ML deserved better tho 🥺🥺

I also thought it had something to do with children, but if it was about reincarnations, then it really doesn’t connect to that at all. When Rampheung was telling Khem the backstory, there was a scene showing Khem as a young man in his past life where he died of accident but we never saw whether he was married or had children.

It’s such an ambiguous area, and I was honestly hoping they’d clear it up. Even a single line like “the curse ends after a certain number of reincarnations” would have been enough yk

But overall, I really did enjoy the drama! Definitely a very unique premise.

Finale and Khem's acting are definitely the weakest link but the premise is unique plus the set up is really nice and detailed! Plus every character here has something to offer. No one was bystander!

Horror ...hmmm we have few jump scares in ep 1 if I remember correctly and few here and there but it's not horror horror. Lol I am chicken myself 🤭 yes it is definitely a mood watch!

I do agree with you about 6 episodes being too short.
About the past lives, I think we got a pretty clear about Odajima but yes Karaoke could have been more but I feel there was nothing much to it. Lol he is a yakuza , with a whimsical side and has few principles!

It's very hard for to point out why I loved it but I think it was the storytelling style! And Odajima's face when he was called a wife lmao!

Anyways, good review! I agree on quite a few points with you but maybe it was the weekly schedule that kept the anticipation and interest that binge watching might have lacked and made the flaws more prominent!

And I don’t even want to talk about the conclusion. >> You and me both lol!

I also truly appreciated all the characters, not only the male leads. >> me too! I feel the balance between both the couples and good. Though I would have cut overall romance a bit and would have given that screentime for horror / curse aspect!

Also, can we please talk about epsiode lengths! 2 hours and then 1 hr 47 min... *rolls eyes* I think it was the 2 hour ep that made me realise how slow the delivery of dialogues was because it felt like eternity to finish that ep 😅

Exactly! It didn't make sense to me either! I have a special dislike when they introduce new characters/ plot last minute to resolve something. It did exactly that! I felt like it diluted all the impact it had of curse throughout. Like wdym "I am sorry. You can punish me" Ma'am hello ??!!!

The ep was 1 hr 47 minutes , if they actually gave it all to the curse resolution I would have been happy !

Also the way monk shut Chan (and us because same questions lol) was so funny 🤣

And the bed rock of my question, what was so special about this timeline that it does to end here ? I feel like if they answered it , the breaking of curse would have made more sense. Idk!

The last minute redemption arcs bother me alot but Saenkaew's father had me in rage. Because wdym you wanted to kill someone in previous episode and now posing for photographs with them like nothing happened. Everything is forgotten because you are sick ??

And Pin's was okay. Like I get why she did initially what she did but the fact that she trapped a gay man and then mopped around as to why he didn't love her was ridiculous lol!

I would have rated it 8.5 if they just let Dad go to jail and then realise his mistakes. Would have made sense.

But yes, the romance was cute 🔥

I was thinking of giving it 8.5 but the forced redemption arcs in the last ep kinda tipped me off so settled at 8 but it was an entertaining yet turbulent watch xD

ABO desire will always be special to me as well and for the whole BL industry too for the introduction of omegaverse and that too from China! ❤️ Even though I have rated the series low, I also enjoyed HY and his lunatic ways ALOT! Lol and I liked how they never tried white washing his character! The actor definitely did a great job at portraying that role !

I hope the next time we see D4 together,they come with strong script. I am more than willing to watch them again 😍♥️
