he's so babygirl I swear! just wanted to give him a hug poor guy definitely has some ptsd
yeah but that's unresolved trauma for you. was it right that he did that? no. should he have not volunteered if he couldn't handle the job? yes. but his entire arc this season was about being subconsciously made to act according to some masculine ideals that he doesn't have. his time in the marines definitely played a role into it.
you know the entire time 001 was by Gi Hun's side, I was just thinking of how this was Sang Who's spot and he…
I was so enamored with hyun ju I saw her as a completely new person but you're right, she has a ton of similarities to sae byeok, now that I think of it. the other two were similar in personality but hyun ju was similar in spirit
wait I thought the voting rule was there in S1? that’s why Gi Hun pointed it out after first game in this season
it was but it wasn't for every round. it was only ever used once because not everyone came back after the games ended, and so it was understood that the ones who did, didn't need a new round of voting, although it would've been interesting to see that happen just to see how people's decisions may or may not have changed
someone pointed out that most female characters in this season were written with the same motivation - motherhood.…
nothing wrong with motherhood being people's motivation but I could definitely sense a lot of pro life rhetoric with 001's wife's backstory, along with jun hee and the older woman's conversations. idk if I'm reading too much into it. but this is a thing with other kdramas of a similar nature too, pregnant women and mothers get offered a lot of character shields
there were women who weren't of the motherhood motivation but two of them were killed (young mi and se mi) and that left the burden of doing more on hyun ju basically, who already has so much more on her plate.
facts! being high out of your mind is the only way to avoid some of the trauma that you're bound to get from this…
yep, it was right after the girl was shot dead right in front of him. I think his character was quite well fleshed out for the little screen time he had. He was much more layered than even some of the survivors we've seen so far
ngl, I was so hoping they'd pull like a super bold move in the last episode and shoot Gi Hun instead of his bestie but alas, a girl can dream. I don't even know why he's alive at this point aside from being a toy for the front man but oh well.
one would think given the amount of trauma the ML went through the first time around, that he'd have some form…
only instance where he did show some interesting ambiguity was when everyone was about to be attacked in their beds and he agreed to let some of the X folks become somewhat of a bait for the O folks to kill. Even then, that was the most utilitarian thing to happen and 001 pointed it out to him too. His hands were tied in that instance, so I doubt he'd have done something like that if there were a more favourable option. So not giving him too much credit here either.
season 2 is simply useless, repetitive, boring, tiring and an insult to anyone who thought the screenwriter would…
one would think given the amount of trauma the ML went through the first time around, that he'd have some form of character development (for better or for worse) but nope lol.
if this vote rule was there in season 1 then sae byeok and sang woo both would have been there rn with gi hun😭
you know the entire time 001 was by Gi Hun's side, I was just thinking of how this was Sang Who's spot and he should have been here smh. And Jun Hee and Se Mi reminded me of Sae Byeok so much at times, ugh I miss them
why does Lee Jung Jae have red hair when he didn't have one on the ending of the first season when he was at the…
he did have red hair at the airport. at the end of season one, he went through an entire existential crisis which included dyeing his hair, since season 2 is 2 years after that, his hair is back to its natural color
there were women who weren't of the motherhood motivation but two of them were killed (young mi and se mi) and that left the burden of doing more on hyun ju basically, who already has so much more on her plate.
