I really liked this. The food porn is so on point., delectable and beautiful to behold. I especially loved how our male lead evolved from an arrogant mother fucker, to someone who, it was clear to see, always had the backs of his team. A lovely watch. It's a 8.5/10 for me.
I'm back my most eloquent, humorous, playful human! Hope you've missed me. #Snigger. As always, you've cut to…
Thank you 🙏🏽Aw, I adore your best friend. What a friend to have, how lovely. My exes, of which there are 3, continue to this day, to be my best friends, who I hang out with and also them with my current boyfriend. I know, I'm very lucky indeed.
Ooh, hilarious on the ghostship! Very funny indeed.

Yes, I hear you and you're right. For me, my partner has to be my best friend and my lover. I need both. My boyfriend, who has never watched a BL and actually laughs at my love of it, just said to me, "We started out as friends and then became lovers". Hilariously, we sit with our respective laptops, him watching sci-fi, me watching BL's and he occasionally looks over and says: "Oh, look, two boys kissing." I adore him for this. He just said: "You are a strange one, but I love you for this."
Sadly, this didn't hit the note for me. It felt fast and furious, so I found myself not engaged with the love story they were selling me between our two leads, as I didn't feel it.
Usually, I love Taiwanese BL's as they're brave, sexy and creative. The idea was creative, however, the delivery seriously lacking. It's a 5/10 for me. Would I re-watch? No.
Interesting, very interesting indeed, but not surprising from a Japanese BL. Quirky, original narrative and storytelling springs to mind.
Funnily, it took me a while to distinguish the difference between our male leads. I did it by their lips. Hilarious I know. One is plump, one is slim and one wears pyjamas.
The fact that both our leads who are in their 20's, haven't kicked into touch their partners, honestly beggars belief. Who the fuck would put up with that shit? No one and I mean no one wants to feel undesired in a relationship and therefore rejected. Human nature abhors rejection. Mentally, it is a fuck up to our brains, self-worth and self-esteem. So, I find myself intrigued to see why both our leads have opted for this when they can simply move on. My brain says "is it financial"? but I don't think that's the whole story. Interesting start. I'm intrigued to see where the writer will take us.
Damn I wonder what kind of cave you are living. If you're going to preach and act like a bigger person, at least…
Is it nothing though? We all have an opinion, irrespective of whether we agree or not. As reviewers, shouldn't we be open-minded to the perspective and thought process of others? For me, I actually really like reading reviews that don't correspond with mine, as it gives me another perspective, even if I don't agree - but then I find the workings of the human mind fascinating, so would never berate a person for their opinions.

To me, he didn't preach and is not pretentious. He simply gave his opinion as he saw it as a viewer. Why do you think this? Most BL's don't revolve around sex. For example, look at the stunning and utterly beautiful Japanese BL 'Our Youth' and the Taiwanese BL 'See Your Love'. Sex isn't at the forefront of this narrative and to be honest isn't in so very many BL's, so I don't understand your thinking in this regard.
Episode 1:POTENTIAL!The sexual frankness/reality is refreshing. It's nice to see another BL moving away from the…
I'm back my most eloquent, humorous, playful human! Hope you've missed me. #Snigger. As always, you've cut to the core of the issues with both relationships and I agree, sex and romance can, do and should coexist together.

In Asian culture head is kinda sacred so you'd touch the heads of people you're super close with.
I so hear you, and can see it with a child, which I could find lovely, but to do it with a grown arse adult, you like, love or indeed desire, just doesn’t emote with me. It feels completely off, childish and a tad condescending.
As I've always said on this here forum, no one and I mean no one writes like the Japanese.
This drama started out beautifully - quirky and totally off-beat. I adored the first episode with Ryoma conversing with his plants and then this beautiful, random, young man coming into his life to totally fuck with his head.
Then, I'm not sure what happened. Probably when they started working on the case together. It just all fell rather flat to me and not engaging. I enjoyed the interactions where they were getting to know each other - Haruto being confident about getting his prey and Ryoma trying to avoid being eaten as prey, however, fantasizing about the complete opposite. I think this is where the drama had its charm. Those moments, did at times make me chuckle.
Then they lived together, worked together, to bring down daddy and it all seemed to lose its direction, quirkiness and charm. Don't get me wrong, I liked the narrative around Naruto's background story, but more so with the street kids, but not the court case.
I just felt like in the final few episodes it lost it quirkiness and charm, which had me disengaged.
So, it's a 5/10 for me for its innovative spirit, but no, I won't re-watch, which is sad as it did have potential.
Bloody hell. This drama set the scene to be truly beautiful and one of its kind, from of all places, China, only to go and spectacularly fuck it up in the final episode. What the actual fuck was that?
I loved the pace, in terms of the building of their relationship. It was gentle, thoughtful and believably written. Qi Lu, from the outset, knew who he wanted, it was just such a crying shame he could never tell his father what he wanted his life to be. But, hey ho, this is China.
Then the writer chose to take us down such a typical avenue of lack of communication. Lazily I say. Lazy indeed. I perceive you're in America with your mum and you don't know my arm is broken. How lovely would it have been if the writer had written that they communicated and then worked through it together as a united force, while taking down dad. Genius I say.
That final episode was utter and complete pants. Really? You brought us so far on such a lovely journey to deliver this? Additionally, why do, on the whole, Chinese parents get a "get out of jail card" for being utterly and completely abusive and abhorrent. I can't wrap my head around this.
I find myself hugely struggling with this whole affection arc in Asian dramas of patting or stroking the head of the one you desire or love. Isn't this what you do to a dog or a child? The 2nd couple arc was full of this trope, which had me physically cringing. Literally zero chemistry. "Their, their good boy" springs to mind.
Don't get me wrong. I'm absolutely delighted we've finally managed to view a BL out of China and long may it continue. I just felt they did a disservice to the final two episodes, so it is a 6/10 for me and I won't re-watch.
Convoluted. Difficult to follow. Overly complex. You see where I'm going here. Quite simply, it didn't do it for me and I wasn't feeling Bible and Jes' chemistry, although I think they'd do well together with a better script and director. Innovative idea for a BL? Absolutely yes, bring it on. I'm all for that. However, this isn't it. It facepalmed, but Fuaiz as Tonkla did a great job.
It's a 4/10 for me and only because of the innovative idea. I personally found the execution lacking and the sex scenes rarely sexy. Would I re-watch? No. Hence my score.
"So many people below had the same opinion as me that I must conclude that this show would not have an 8.5 rating…
Let me give you some insider information, which will hopefully ease your weary soul. Are you ready? Etoks21 and Br85 are two separate people. Honestly, no need to thank me.
I must say, while I don't share your enthusiasm for the film -- and wouldn't the world be a dull place if we all…
I have to admit I 100% agree with you on the ending. I think I was so surprised and delighted by the story, that I let the whole unnecessary“I gave the whole “I need to go away” bollocks a get out of jail card.
