BRAVO again JG! You said it all much better than I tried to above. When Takara pulled Taishin onto his lap, I…
You remain utterly hilarious in my mind. Your thought process never fails to make me laugh. You're brutal in your analogies, but usually completely spot on in your thought process! I love this. Keep it coming, as it keeps me entertained.
I honestly don't mind the lack of any bonking occurring, as this show isn't about that. What I absolutely despise is as you point out, what the actual fuck was the writer wanting to depict in that whole scene with Taishin sitting on Takara's lap - it just spanked to me (oh if only, some spanky, spanky time!) of a lost opportunity to showcase their growing closeness with a beautiful dialogue.
I just didn't understand the whole stay over and then cut to morning scene! What was the point? What did it add to the story? Absolutely nothing. I feel the writer is immature, a woman, who simply hasn't got the experience or courage to portray gay men. Another opportunity lost.
I have to agree with you. This show is beyond, beyond fluffy, but to the point where it has become totally unbelievable. I'm simply not the target audience for this level of childish stupidity.
I can understand your passion in wanting realism but the writer chose to express her work in a more simple and…
So bloody original. If you went through this here forum and counted how many times someone used those as a comeback, we'd honestly be here all year counting! The originality does indeed pain my soul.
I'll admit, I found episodes 1 & 2 boring as hell. It felt like the entire focus was on Taiwanese studying culture. However, 3 & 4 made for excellent, creative and thoughtful writing and directing. I can absolutely tell that this is written by the writer of The Untamed and also that it is directed by Liu Kuang Hui, the director of one of my favourite and most memorable BL's - Your Name Engraved Herein.
I especially enjoyed the scene with Uncle Mute (how fucking inappropriate though to call a human this name in this day and age). That whole scene really resonated with me in its subtlety and the way they looked after him. The grumpy uncle, whose not really grumpy, brought that whole scene together, making food and them all enjoying lunch together.
However, I have to say. I continue to find it beyond jarring that they have 28 & 29 year old men, playing high school boys. That make-up artist seriously needs a talking to. With the millions of make-up products in this here universe, how can they not realistically disguise a man's stubble effectively?! Sheng Wang's is especially terrible, and in EP 4, what was going on in the corners of his mouth? Then, as if that wasn't bad enough, they have the audacity to role out An Jun Peng, from History 4, who is a grown arse 30-years old man, to play a high-schooler - I actually laughed out loud at this point. The Casting Director was obviously at the end of their tether at this point.
Anyways, looking forward to EP 5, as the story feels like it navigating and narrating beautifully.
Same!!! I can't seem to continue after ep 5 and last night i tried to click on ep 6 but had to stop because of…
Agree. It is seriously every kind of bad. I’d really like to see Mos and Bank leave this network and their agency, because whomever is advising them is doing an astonishingly bad job and an excellent job at ruining their careers.
I agree that the plot is not realistic. The most basic issue with this show is that Taishin's behaviour is unhealthy…
I love this response and 💯 agree with your well thought out and articulate thought process. 8th Sense is a excellent example of someone from a rural environment, learning and evolving. Thank you for this.
What a lovely episode. Isumi is such a delightful character - deep, thoughtful and kind. That has to go down as the loveliest, most respectful rejection I've ever heard.
“A person of a certain age should be walking or having sex?” Did you actually read back what you typed? Your sentence makes no sense.
This isn’t about sex. Quite the opposite. Re-read my post. Their relationship has nothing to do about sex. This I love about the drama. I’d suggest you need to grow up and digest what I posted.
I can understand your passion in wanting realism but the writer chose to express her work in a more simple and…
Bobby. Let’s return to what this forum is for. A drama. Not a fan base. It’s about discussing a drama - positive or negative respectfully. I rest my case.
I can understand your passion in wanting realism but the writer chose to express her work in a more simple and…
Ha. You make me laugh. You make me laugh a lot. I’m here to critique a drama, so your narrative, if not about the drama is lost on me.
I find myself bored by your narrative. I don’t need to take a “chill pill” because my energy is chilled and eloquent when being honest about how I view a drama. Something you need to learn. I suggest you grow up. #JustSayin’

Why do you need to call me Mary? That alone makes me laugh out loud. I'm definitely not what in your brain considers a Mary, whatever that is. I love people having an opinion of my opinions. However, I find yours beyond, beyond childish.
Adult depictions! Look at my Watchlist. I do adult. This is not what I'm here for. I adore Japanese BL's. No one...and I mean no one writes like the Japanese. They write and tell stories like no other culture. I adore their writing. However, this series is seriously lacking. The flow. The narrative. The dialogue. The writing of the depiction of our leads - all are subpar, in my mind, naturally, not everyone's thoughts.
Suck it up Bobby. Suck it up. Not everyone thinks like you and I'd like to think most of us don't feel the need to be rude in our analogy.
What makes you think Taishin is in his mid-20s? He has just started studying, which means he should be 18. He…
Age. Age. Age. Why does it appear that Asian peeps are so fixated by age? Honestly, why? I don't give a fuck about age. Love is love. We love who we love. FACT. My ex was 12-years younger than me. Damn, we loved. Everyone felt it. My current is 6-years older than me. Love. Love, Love.
I hear you on the rural upbringing - massively. However, It's a fact. You can be naive, but a man's natural instinct is to at times feel horny and wank. Blue balls springs to mind.
Yes, I hear you and spot on in why Takara likes Taishin. I agree with your thinking here.
However, for me, this is not a realistic plot, by way of how humans act and interact in a relationship. For instance, why would you call your boyfriend "Senior" and not his name? This is where we have to respectfully agree to disagree. However, I like the fact that we understand each other others perspectives.
I myself thought several times that rather than naive Taichi seems to be an alien who knows absolutely nothing…
Hilarious analogy, which made me laugh out loud. Thank you for the laughs🙏🏾He really doesn’t know anything about life, to the point where I find the writing totally unbelievable.
You might not wrap your head around it but there are people out there that are like this. I was extremely sheltered…
What a lovely, heartfelt response. Thank you. I so love that you were courageous enough to share your experience from your viewpoint. And, I hear you. Beautiful indeed. 🙏🏾❤️
