wasn't it mentioned that she left clues for him to solve it? she wanted someone to make those adjustments
Exactly. Exactly this. You and I and other viewers would have seen this. Do you remember in the earlier episodes where Rose went to the gallery with her boss and played with the art installation, I think she got it from there. Nice.
These recent episodes I find utterly delightful viewing. Beautiful writing. Finally Rose meets her soulmate and what a sublime, natural fit. I find myself wanting to watch her awesome skills at skateboarding and this man witnessing it and appreciating it, with his mouth wide open. This is the man I want to watch her do it with.
I especially adore how the writer has depicted the evolution of Rose, from the angry, trash your first boyfriend’s house manic behaviour, into the calm, thoughtful, non-judgmental, hate free woman determined to get a divorce. She is calm. So very calm. I had huge respect for her through those episodes.
Now, what we have is a soulmate. And, a soulmate whom appears oh so worthy. She can fly with this man. Be herself. Be brave. Naughty. Playful. Creative. Innovative and her rightfully extrovert self, to ultimately be who she naturally is.
"soulmate" motorcycle dude needs to die. Changing her work, a major art installation, without permission on any…
What are you talking about? Honestly, I find myself asking how did you completely mis-visualise what the writer was depicting. He made it better. He exacerbated her art, beyond what she could ever have visualised, to the point where a stranger excited her, enough to want to meet him. How do you not get this?
Completely agree and the weirdest part is also the manga it was adapted from is completely different. What was…
Oh, that's interesting to know. Thanks for sharing. That's very unlike the Japanese to defer from a manga. From what I've heard, they religiously stick to a manga.
And, here we go again, yet another Japanese BL fixated on the lack of communication trope. Yawn, yawn. It astounds me how some Japanese BL writers think this makes for believable, enjoyable viewing. To me, it isn't realistic, so fucks with my head. Put simply, it's unbelievable. Tiresome. Boring and massively frustrating.
I really enjoyed the last few episodes showcasing the inner dialogue, thoughts and feelings of Hayama. It was beautifully told. However, the writer seriously fucked up. This episode should have shown him having the balls to tell Yuki how he felt about him and from when it started. I so wanted Hayama to tell Yuki that he was the person he always loved. Imagine us as viewers witnessing that - how cool? Now that would have made for beautiful viewing and storytelling. Instead, we get another episode of miscommunication and misunderstandings between grown arse adult men. I find myself beyond bored and frustrated.
I started this drama not liking episodes 1 and 2 but decided to continue. It got better. I especially enjoyed the episode showcasing the back story of Yuki in university and how direct, forceful and strong he was. What happened to that Yuki, the one Hayama fell in love with? Why did the writer choose to turn his direct, quirky personality into someone so weak, scared and insipid? Again, doesn't make sense to my brain.
I'll limp to the finish line. I know I'll forget this drama on closure within a week and will never re-watch, which is a shame, as the premise and certain elements were good. Currently, it's a 4/10 for me.
Initially, I really liked the innovative concept and thinking behind creating a 'BL' centered around a Vlog - clever stuff! However, whereas I was initially intrigued, I soon became extremely confused and ultimately frustrated.
I think where this series and especially Vol. 3 spectacularly failed was in the flow of the narrative and storytelling. There was no continuation of the story from episode-to-episode, so I found myself continually asking: "What the fuck is going on?" "Didn't this happen in the last episode." "Why haven't they addressed it?" "Have I missed something." This feeling was further enhanced by the spectacularly dreadful editing. Put simply, I never actually knew where I was in the story and what they were trying to say.
Also, the narrative, it became ridiculous and totally unbelievable. Especially in terms of Lee Ji Han and Lee Jae Jun's story. The dialogue between them was ridiculous and totally unbelievable. So, you think your boyfriend is cheating on you. It's never addressed. WTAF! In the case of Jin Han, the only thing you can say is: "Oh, you're cute." "It was nothing.""You know you're the only one for me." Really? As viewers, are we supposed to believe this bullshit. Beyond dreadful writing.
It's a 3/10 for me, and only for the innovative concept. And, no, I won't be re-watching and very much doubt I'll tune into Vol. 4 unless they sort their shit out and work very, very hard at the storytelling, editing and script.
This series really is a surprise and delight and gets better with every episode. Up is seriously owning his character as Ming. I find his acting has really evolved since Lovely Writer, a series, on the whole, I really enjoyed. However, I much prefer him as the entitled Ming. He's the epitome of a narcissistic, entitled prick. The narrative constantly tells us "I always get what I want." He reminds me of the many chaebol Asian dramas, where they speak about their employees as 'dogs'. Previous Joe and new Joe really is portrayed as Ming's dog. Our poor Joe has literally sold his soul to the devil.
This drama started out encouragingly and then sadly, limped across the finish line. The dialogue in the opening episodes was refreshing and direct, however, latter episodes appeared to lose focus, making for extremely boring and disappointing viewing. Don’t even get me started on that dreadful kiss. Why do so many BL’s think this is acceptable to viewers?! #ShakesHead

Loved these last two episodes. Beautifully told.
