Sorry to misinform you. Read the novel ages ago and forgot some details. He was not her fiancé. His grandfather wanted to make an engagement when she was 13 but for reasons unknown dropped the matter and quickly retired to his home town. That was two years before her family tragic fall.
In the novel she is reborn. About her past life she tells him at the very end. First she was forced to be his…
You are right, they were never engaged in the novel. In Chapter 2 it says his grandfather seeked the engagement when she was 13 but for reasons unknown droped it and retired to his home town.

ML was her fiancé in past life. But after her family's down fall ML's family ends that engagement. She marries novel's SML and they both die on the road to exile. She is reborn as servants' daughter but her skills, demeanor, character remains. And ML sees that quite early on . He is quite perceptive that her bearing cannot be something learnt or mimiced but comes from century-old family traditional upbringing.

In the novel she is reborn. About her past life she tells him at the very end. First she was forced to be his concubine and towards the novel end he requests a proper marriage.
So apparently the ML is a widower. Did he ever love his wife then? Also how's his personality in the novel and…
I read the novel a while ago but as far as I remember in both lifelines the only woman ML was in love with was FL. He did not mistreat his first wife and concubines but there was no love or affection. Once he marries FL he forgets them completely. He is a bit worried about the age gap and she is a bit guilty about their first lives. So they try to compensate each other big time in every way🤭🤣 He pampers her like a little princess and she suffocates him with adoration and devotion❤️

It is a rebirth story for her. So all their first lives were hauntingly tragic. FL fell in love with ML's son. She ends up getting married to ML who at some point finds out about her infatuation with his son. He stops visiting her quaters and dies being betrayed by his brother. FL slowly wastes away and dies abondoned and ostrasized. ML's son treats her horribly and torments himself with gilt, regret and what not on her death as apparently he has always been in love with her but surpressed his feelings intially as she was not a suitable, virtuous wife matetial in society eyes. Second life: FL wants nothing to do with both of them. She befriends SML and their relationship for a good part of the novel is very entertaining and sweet. I think that is where the confusion comes from. Novel readers learn about her disastourous first life marriage experience and spend a lot of time with pretty decent SML. That she ends up with ML again was quite a twist👀
The last three episodes were kind of a hot mess - but, otherwise, pretty darn good for a short.Thought main leads…
FL, Zhu Li Lan, was in two solid recent short dramas. Would highly recommend both. "Threads of Destiny", amazing chemistry with ML (he was a playboyish Emperor in Fated Hearts). And "Gemini" , her ML was Duke Yan in Story of Kunning Palace.
Since they already low rated the unaired episodes I forsee a typical vulgar attack of the trolls in the comment section🤨 Fellow drama- landers beware and brace yourselves🤝💪
I haven’t gotten to this episode yet, but he was stabbed how does stabbing him being stabbed by his friend lead…
From previews he will be in coma for a while, survives but goes blind. They would need to do certain manipulations to get back his eyesight but as a side effect he would loose some memories as the doctor predicted.
Can someone who read the novel confirm if this is true or just rumors? I heard that the princess sleeps with the…
In the novel Emperor tries to seduce her, sees that it is useless and pretends he was just testing her. They are never lovers in the novel. Instead he plays on her selfishness, stupidity, insecirity and manipulates her into big time betrayal. She puts everyone in danger including her hubby. In the end she is mortally wounded and tragically dies a virgin. Details too gory. But in the novel she worships XJS and adores him till her last breath.
Can someone please spoil the ending to me or share the novel link?
Novel spoiler ............ It is a happy ending for the main couple, got the throne and married with a baby boy. Annoying little princess dies. That was quite tragic actually. Her hubby (who is way better in the novel) gets the throne and kills off his evil bro Emperor and snake Dowager.
You know that part near the end of the novel/drama when everything goes wrong for the good guys. So it does and the main reason is our little princess. She sides with the villains and betrays them All (good guys that is) including her hubby (novel Jing Shi is quite decent and way better than drama one). Not as a revenge for his coldness and neglect but in a failed attempt to get rid of FL. In her delusional mind with FL dead her hubby will fall in love with her🤯. And they still try their best to protect her and ML even tries to justify her actions🤦🏼♀️
I am reading the novel now. Did not think it is possible but the novel Princess of Susha vexes me even more than the drama one. She slowly goes from bad to worse. Closer to the end I dreamt of transmigrating and whacking that selfish delulu idiot across the snout🤦🏼♀️
The fb post is fake. Just open the novel link above in the discussion forum, read the last chapter & the 1st…
I second that. I did not read the extra chapters if there are any. But they do have a happy ending in the novel. And for FSG to let her go and happy-go-lucky roam the world is So out of character.

Not just annoying and clingy but the other thing as well... not being able to do the deed🫣
