After being burnt so many times I developed certain ways to watch doramas: skiping certain annoying characters entirely , on forum friends advice not watching last episodes, or watching last episodes upto a certain minute. It is quite interesting that in the novel even though ZY's plan was to subbotage her wedding to the 4th Prince by getting her into the brothel in compromising position ZY was never part of his plan. He got attracted to TH and took it upon himself to spend the night with her. He is not intimate with his harem in any sense but he is a collector of beautiful women. They are all gorgeous. So I second that it has a lot to do with TH looks. She survives their first encounter because of his physical attraction. But it has nothing to do with her being "the fairest of them all". He is surrounded every day by unparelleled beauties left and right😆
Her courage, resilience, intelligence and wits make him fall for her deeper and stronger.
What makes TH stand out as well she is charming and alluring. Basically never a cowardly bunny but the seductive fox spirit reincarnated😊😉🦊

Yes, the baby gets it. FL's Dexter-esque Shifu (loved him, quite a character in the novel, killing enemies left and right and going on occasional murderous sprees) takes their baby girl to some mystic location to detoxify. If I remember correctly.
Shifu adores FL and taught her all sorts of useful things, including art of seduction. It does not work on ML but makes him jellous much😂

Yes he has a wife, consorts, concubines and what not. He is not a womaniser, it is all about politics and gaining favours. I have no idea how this will play out in the drama. But in the novel there is an impossible for the drama adoptation twist about his harem😊🫣

I read the novel ages ago and my memory might fail me. But I only remember Wei Liang in the novel. Not our 4 museteers😄 WL is badly wounded but does not die. His character is completly different in the novel. He is a stern, loyal, married man. Not the drama humorous bundle of joy.
