He got attracted to TH and took it upon himself to spend the night with her. He is not intimate with his harem in any sense but he is a collector of beautiful women. They are all gorgeous. So I second that it has a lot to do with TH looks. She survives their first encounter because of his physical attraction. But it has nothing to do with her being "the fairest of them all".
