I liked him too but it was sad how his story progressed. You certainly didn't miss anything by dropping Eternal…
Yes I meant the demon prince. He was indeed a sad character. I wished better things for him.

When I first started watching kdramas, I wouldn't drop any because I felt like I had to finish them. Luckily I…
Thank you for reading. :) I also felt like I had to complete dramas but the more often I felt sorry and like I wasted my time the better I got in dropping dramas. I think that's similar for most of us.

I totally agree with you in those dramas listed here that I also have watched but dropped it. Love how you wrote…
Thank you! All the good reviews on Eternal Love made me think the drama has something I cannot see but my taste is just different from those who loved it. Later I saw I'm not alone with this. The drama could've done well with less episodes, it didn't need so much to tell its story.
Woo Do Hwan was truly a saviour for TKEM. Without him I would've dropped this without hesitation.
Hope you find the right way for yourself regarding ITSAY. ^^

Thanks for the sharing, will try to learn from your experience, but honestly from the above titles you mentioned,…
Thanks for reading. ^^
I'm sure you will learn from your own experience. That's probably best as my experience is not speaking for everyone out there.

Eternal Love, Melting Me Softly and The King Eternal Monarch really surprised me to be on this list, especially…
It's true that Eternal Love has a huge amount of fans but not all liked the drama. As for Melting Me Softly and TKEM, both received a lot of critic. It's near impossible that everyone loves the same drama. Tastes are different. :)

Loved reading this, amazing article!! I always struggle with historical c-dramas, don't get me wrong the visuals…
Thank you! I understand what you mean. You have to feel really attached to a story to not care about boring fillers. My favorite historical C-Dramas with more than 30 episodes so far are The Long Ballad and The Untamed. Those didn't require skipping scenes on my side. Have you tried shorter historical C-dramas like The Romance of Tiger and Rose with 24 episodes? They often have a more funny approach but can be quite good.

I enjoyed reading your article! And if i had to pick one drama that i wish i dropped it would be I Am Not A Robot.…
Thank you! I almost included True Beauty here. xD I didn't though because my emotions are still fresh on this one and at the moment I can hardly find anything good (read nothing) about it. I wholeheartedly agree to what you say about it. I have to admit the drama triggered me really badly. If I ever make a part 2 of this article, it will be included though.

"Stay away from comment sections of dramas before/while watching"Now that is a lesson I need to learn from. I…
I feel you. Before I came across some really bad spoilers I did the same.
Now I still need to stop myself from reading comments but I got way better. I only read the first or second comment on top before I scroll back up and leave. xD
I don't want to risk anymore having to drop a drama I enjoy because I saw a spoiler that ruins my experience.

I am working on becoming a better dropper.. but it is hard ... I have been trying to get better at following this…
"don't hold on to a mistake just because you soent a lot of time making it" I love that quote. So accurate and has a healing vibe. <3
Yeah the watch challenges made me stick to quite some dramas. I escaped this year though and dropped a drama on episode 7 out of 56.
Since dropping is like "done with it for good" to me I hesitate and give them usually a couple more episodes or at least skip through some but if even that doesn't show me something that makes it worth continuing I'm able to drop without having a bad conscience.
Thank you, this means a lot to me. I'm all for respecting other opinions even if they don't match yours. So I wanted this article to reflect my opinion without giving anyone the feeling I just badmouthed their favorite drama. ^^

I usually drop at some point in the first 3 episodes. Gave it a go and didn't work for me...no harm done. However,…
It's astounding how some dramas manage to not get boring with over 50 episodes while others feel draggy as hell with less than the half of it. I think it depends on how much material the story provides and how well a drama is written. ^^
I'm not sure if one can lower the expectations to the point TKEM requires. Sorry, that's the side of me talking who really tried to oversee the many flaws but at some point gave up. xD

I used to persist till the end no matter what! This last 3 years I drop dramas left and right, sometimes even…
My personal advice on Dali Temple would be to continue. The end might not be to your liking but I found the drama still worth it. Like you, I loved the FL. :) And like azaz suggested you can fast forward the scenes of the villains. They are pretty pointless.
I ended up watching TKEM on my tv with bigger screen so I could play games and do other stuff while glancing at it once in a while. xD

I had pretty much the exact same experience with Eternal Love! Spent most of the time looking forward to finishing…
Same. Thing is, I ended up dropping Eternal Love of Dream. xD
I was just so unhappy by episode 7 and how the story included things I disliked in Eternal Love that I couldn't bring myself to continue it. I watch fanmade videos with the pairing instead.

I didn't even finish TKEM and still thought I had wasted my time lol. I agree with the lessons you listed, but…
I would probably think the same if it wasn't for Woo Do Hwan. He managed to rescue at least parts of the drama for me. xD
I can relate to what you say about skipping. I think it depends on what or how much you skip though. I even skip in dramas I love if there are small things I find irrelevant for the story like shots of the city showing a sunset or night sky in a medical drama (Night Doctor), these shots were nice in the first couple episodes but I skipped them later because they repeated themselves. The drama itself was a good one though imo. I also almost always skip intros, credits and previews. That's why for me skipping is not per se an indication it's time to drop a drama. :)
