Happy 10th anniversary, MDL! I joined two years ago but it feels like yesterday. :)
Thank you Cho Na, for this article. You did it again. If this isn't the ultimate MDL article, I don't know what is. xD
It's great to see this compilation of all this wonderful articles that bring back memories when I was a newbie. Thank you for including an article of mine. <3

This drama is what we call it under the radar one, lol. Not overhyped or heavily advertised so we just don't get…
That I've heard and it does look interesting to me. ^^ Since overhyped dramas often do not fulfil my expectations anyway, I'm optimistic that I'll like it. But first let me finish Word of Honor. xD

I wish the subber officially dropped the drama so that someone else could pick it up and finish.
That's good news! :)

No worries, with lots of news type articles being published, it's easy for us to miss the editorials ;D
I was not aware that there is such a list, even though I've subscribed to the Article and Discussion thread. Thank you, this is super informative and also gives insight in upcoming articles. *hugs*

May I ask what the Total Edits in the profile meant for? i see something with LVL but how do you level up?
The Total Edits sums up how many edits you have made for dramas/cast members.
You level up by submitting edits, like adding missing Asian actors/actresses to the database, adding new titles (dramas/movies) or adding information to existing titles or people.

I can't believe I missed this article. *hides in corner*
Thank you for another interesting part in your awesome "Revisited" Series. This became a favorite of mine and I'm not ready to see it finished with the next part. T.T
My favorite in this part is probably "Guaranteed Tips For Coming Out of A Drama Slump" because I can relate so much. xD

I'm European so I might not understand the feelings of those involved but to me this sounds like a modern type of witch hunt with all this accuses. Usually I make my judgement of a series/movie after it was released and not before or while it's in the making. What's the purpose of those critics? To stop production of all political/historical themed dramas just because they might not picture things how they personally like/see it?
I think they should give it at least a chance and maybe they might learn something from it or gain some new perception.
I'm from a country with some dark spots in it's history but that does not stop me from approaching my historical inheritance with sarcasm sometimes. There's a time for serious thinking and learning from the past and there's a time to look back with a satirical point of view. Not to make fun of people or romanticizes anything but to express how grateful we can be that this lies in the past and to show that nothing is either a hundred percent good or bad. Even in dark times there's light.
This becomes sort of a censorship issue with all those controversy and I watch this with worry. A fictional drama should be allowed to approach historical topics freely without being told how to do it. If you want facts, that's what documentaries are for.

I wish the subber officially dropped the drama so that someone else could pick it up and finish.
On d-addicts a drama will be marked as dropped when a subber shows no activity for 3 months so this shouldn't be an issue. Just checked the page on d-addicts and the post asking for statement from the subber is from 11. March this year so it shouldn't take much longer to get info if it's officially dropped or not. Hopefully someone will pick it up or the subber will continue.

I really don't see any similarities except that they are both supernatural dramas.
How could they copy clothing from a historical Chinese drama when it's a modern Korean drama? Does not make sense to me and I didn't notice any copied clothes.

Good plot overall i guess, is it just me or I don't see any chemistry between the main leads? Enjoyable plot tho…
I also think they lack chemistry so you're not the only one. :)

Title Eternal Love
I need help!!! I finished watching untamed and i am so in love with that drama... I can't move on so i need strong…
This might come late but I watched Eternal Love after The Untamed because I trusted the many good reviews. Eternal Love was a huge letdown for me. I found it draggy and the main leads lacked chemistry for me. I completed it for the couple of Donghua and Fengjiu but since they have their own drama now I would turn down Eternal Love. I gave it a well meant rating of 5.5 because I didn't dislike it completely but I've seen better.
For recommendations you might want to take a look at:
- Guardian (2018) it gave me the same vibes as The Untamed
- Word of Honor (a lot of people say it's similar to The Untamed)
- Immortality (hasn't aired yet)
- Heaven Official's Blessing (also hasn't aired yet, novel is from the same author as The Untamed)

But after all they're still humans and have feelings my aunt herself got married to her teacher and now they're…
Thank you, Alex. I hope you did not feel attacked by my comment.
My comment was merely for empathising once again the difference in my thinking/judging because it seems a few people misunderstand it and think I stand up for pedophiles which is not true.

I used to be against spoilers but now I sometimes ask for spoilers regarding the end of a drama because I watched dramas and was really disappointed by their open end that did not bring anything to a closure or so badly written ends that I felt cheated.
I don't mind sad endings as long as they are logical and fitting the story but I'm also the kind of person who likes to see a happy end for characters who suffered throughout the drama so I can say, "it was worthwhile and they got a reward for all their struggles". I would be devastated if they end up badly because everything would seem so pointless then. :)
It's very interesting to read how different people think about endings and how they define what a happy ending is for them. Thanks for this great article!

Haha to your question in the beginning of "Have you ever been surprised by the actions of a character in a drama, thinking you would've done differently?" my answer is:
Yes, quite often. Of course there are characters you understand better and some you'll never get to understand because they act irrational all the time. A characters action I never get is those of jealous second leads who have no life and just keep butting in when no one asked for them. No rejection could ever stop them and I don't understand how they never give up when it's obviously futile. xD
