I don't think I suffer from this disease though I might have some symptoms once in a while. A couple dramas on my list were drop-worthy but I did not drop because I liked someone of the cast or I hoped it would get better and I just failed to get into the story. So maybe I do have a mild form of NDD. ^^
From experience I would say if you're not convinced by the first couple episodes (episode 4 of 16 or 15-20 when the drama is longer) then it won't get much better. At some point I accepted that some dramas and me just do not get along with each other. While I don't want to suffer I appreciate people like you two who do not give up and watch dramas to the end.
That being said, when I happen to decide to complete a boring drama I'm also a fan of the fast forward button or watching at higher speed. Last month I also shared my first rant on the feeds. xD

This painfully reminds me that I'm way behind with watching 2020 dramas. lol
From the top 10 I have 9 in my watchlist and from the honorary mentions two more. Only finished Reunion which was a favorite of 2020 for me. Now I look even more forward to Winter Begonia, Perfect and Casual and some others.

Fully agree on you with that and it's funny that you mention Yang Se Jong because I often mention him alongside Woo Do Hwan because they both have great talent in displaying different characters. If it weren't for WDH TKEM wouldn't have been able to keep me interested.
Currently I'm happy to see Kim Yong Ji in The Tale of the Nine Tailed. She caught my eye in TKEM and I was looking forward to her upcoming works.

Someone else wrote that the actress Cai Xiang Yu plays an evil character here and I found it hard to watch any scene she was in from the drama My Fantastic Mrs Right, so I removed Dear Herbal Lord from my list. I'm not a fan of the trope "second lead wants main lead(s) dead or break up" and my experiences so far with this sort of second lead character have been all bad so I'm not in the mood to test my luck anytime soon. xD Thank you for taking the time to answer my question though. I get it and for me it's the same, that curiosity makes me start a drama. I just can't be consistent in watching if my mood doesn't agree so in the end the mood is the stronger one or the one with more stamina. xD
I'm working on them, but the one I told you about is being a pain. xD I did not know it would be so time consuming to research for it. I sort of regret that I came up with the idea for it. Nonetheless I'll keep working on it. I'll tame this beast. lol

I automatically read the synopsis when I come to a drama. It's feeling completely natural to me. When I try to analyse why I do that it gives me the impression that trailers often include a scene (something suspenseful, dramatic aka a character is hurt etc. which is often a spoiler) to attract the viewer's attention and interest while a synopsis is only describing the main plot.
This is just a preference though.

I already disliked the messages of the first episode. When you're ugly you at least have to be smart to "compensate" for not being beautiful.
Or use make up to not get bullied and find friends when it's the attitude of bullies that should be questioned because are humans really that uncultivated to still judge from outer appearance? Also by what standards do they go out and call someone ugly? An attitude or personality can be ugly too. Just saying.
I find some things in this drama questionable even though I like the majority of characters. It's a decent watch if you're able to put logic and the mediocre dealing with such serious subjects away. If not you will probably feel the same as me and be critical about the drama. At this point I want to finish it but my expectations for a satisfying ending might be a bit lower than in the beginning. Maybe because I think the subject of bullying and the female lead's issues need a more serious approach than a rom-com that downplays the severity of it.

I wonder what was going on in her life and how she felt that even though she had her whole life ahead of her and was closer to pursue her acting career she still decided to commit suicide. It's making me sad to see that she was only one year younger than me.

That's interesting. When it comes to dramas I rarely ever watch a trailer. Thinking about it I realize that I do watch trailers often for movies though.
