One major criteria for me or how I choose a drama is that I found out that I like most of the dramas that are…
I use the rating more as a hint but don't relate to it because it often mislead me. I consider everything above 7 a good rating but lots of good rated dramas disappointed me which is why I'm not focusing much on ratings anymore. It's great though when this works for you. :)
The death occurred in Ep 1, you don't see the surprise in the end. The story then unravels the mystery behind…
Same. I prefer happy endings. I do love some thriller/crime/mystery here and there but when it involves something emotional like sacrifices I feel with the characters.
Great article. ^^ I have Go Ahead, Cross Fire and Hospital Playlist on my watchlist. About The Long Night I'm still unsure because of the synopsis and the Death tag. :)
Production was great. Visual effects galore. However main leads just didn't do it for me and I'll leave it at…
You might want to watch him in Mad Dog. That's the drama where I discovered him and his role Kim Min Joon is still one of my favorites. He is also outstanding in My Country: The New Age.
Am I the only one who thinks its weird how Lee Rim died killing himself but somehow he is still alive while Lee…
Actually I'm not questioning that since the whole story had plot holes and weird logic. Many things were never answered, the place where time is going by extremely slowly is a mystery.
I agree with Sunset on this. The drama isn't all bad but I think that it had more potential than it actually delivered…
Can't say that you miss out when you drop, at the end I felt disappointed cause too many things were left open. The OST is indeed good, I still listen to it once in a while.
I do see your point but to me the adds were not a "few" it was excessive. xD And honestly, I've never seen a drama…
For me it was sadly not just the advertisement but also the story. I think the story had great potential but was not well executed. I'm not trying to badmouth the drama, when I started it I was really excited. In the end I rooted more for the side pairing than for the leads though. It's disappointing that the script made the FL cry that much. It was not necessary and at some point uncomfortable to watch.
I know where you're coming from with trying to work if a drama is actually good or not from its ratings on here.…
I think one can find out which reviews are written by a biased person and which not. Reviews or ratings don't mirror your opinion of course. To be able to make a judgment on your own you have to watch the drama or at least a part of it. Ratings, reviews, comments and all other things I mentioned can give you an impression of the drama but they won't tell you if the drama will be your next favorite or if you'll end up dropping it. That's the risk we live with because taste is subjective and opinions differ. The trope someone hates could be the one I like and vice-versa. I just added a drama simply because I saw a friend of mine wrote an article about it. The information and screenshots I've seen were enough to make me add the drama. I did not check ratings, reviews or anything on the dramas page. Just went to it to add it to my watchlist. Things like this happen and my article's purpose is to encourage others to do things like this. Dive in, make a new experience. You might get something good out of it. :)
Clicked on this article because of the image and now you got me Cho Na. I'll add it on my list. Just let me check for how many episodes I just signed up for when you say fourth instalment. xD
My criteria to pick a show is a bit complex to say the least haha. I first read a bit about the synopsis and then…
Writer, director and production crew is something I ignored for a while. Only recently did I start to actually take a look sometimes. After I finished The King: Eternal Monarch and found the script had quite some plot holes I looked up the writer and realized she had been the writer of other dramas I did not find good. It's interesting to hear that someone doesn't check ratings. I still look at them but they get less relevant each time. ^^ Thank you for reading. I'm happy to hear you find my article helpful. :)
It's sad how fans of this drama call people who don't agree on their opinion dumb brained people or saying their brain couldn't comprehend it. Can we please stay fair and not go out calling others dumb just because they don't share your opinion? Watch the drama, have fun. Don't insult others.
I saw so many bad reviews here that I'm not sure if I should watch or not ;(
I agree with Sunset on this. The drama isn't all bad but I think that it had more potential than it actually delivered in the end. The advertisement/product placement in this drama is all over the place. There's no use in downplaying it and I found it horribly distracting from the storyline at some point. I watch a drama for the story and characters not to be told how beauty product XY is used or watching coffee bottle #100 in a scene. The story itself is interesting but it does lack logic and the plot has holes. I liked the drama for the side characters more than the actual main leads. Their chemistry was okay, personally I've seen better. The OST is indeed good, the question is what do you want to see and for what reason you watch a drama. If you're into fantasy dramas and don't mind flaws you might end up enjoying it. If you're looking for something with a wrapped up ending and neat writing, do not watch this. I'm not hating on the drama just because I gave it a lower rating than 8. In my opinion it was not that good and there are better dramas out there.
I love this drama! I do not understand all the hate. I mean, there are indeed some adds, but which drama does…
I do see your point but to me the adds were not a "few" it was excessive. xD And honestly, I've never seen a drama where I'm told how a beauty product is used, or how good a face mask is or a drama where coffee bottles are in scenes you least expect them. They overdid it in this drama. I'm happy though that you liked it. Sadly I could not ignore the products, they took almost all spotlight.
