Thanks. ^^ No offense for anyone who likes Secret Garden (the K-Drama) but I passed this as well because what…
That's why I think "respect above all". I don't expect others to share the same taste or opinion as I do but I ask for respecting it and not criticizing if it differs from theirs. I think it would be really boring if we all liked the same. A good discussion about dramas is enjoyable when both do not try to proselytize each other. xD
Great analysis I do poster, story, actors, reviews/ commentsI try at least 4 eps...more for longer drama...it…
Thanks. ^^ No offense for anyone who likes Secret Garden (the K-Drama) but I passed this as well because what I've seen looked boring to me. And it's by no means the only drama or romance out there. ;) I've been called stupid for not reading the Twilight novels when they came out. My schoolmate thought just because she loved the books all humans need to like them too. xD As you say, some dramas just don't work with you and give you no vibes or worse even bad vibes. That's okay and not something to worry or argue about. You just like other dramas. No big deal.
Great article, congrats moodchild! ^________^(I'm sorry, I know it's a lousy pun, but I couldn't resist! Verzeih…
Thank you, pun pash. ;P You know I'm not holding that against you. ;)
"some "10s" were most probably linked to the fact that I was in the mood for something like that so I really appreciated it" That applies to me as well. Looking back rationally at some dramas/movies I might rate them different now but at the moment of watching them they were exactly what I wanted to needed. Yes, biased ratings, comments or reviews can be misleading which is why I tend to relate on more than one thing before deciding to watch something. I took that from a Youtuber called AvenueX. She ranted a bit about the similar covers and asked if someone copy+pasted them. I totally see her point. xD Here's the video if you want to watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wclJO4N3yv8
Great article !! I also agree that the mood is an essential part: without my mood I couldn't start watching Kdramas…
Thank you! Haha agreed. xD My mood recently got in the way of my plan to watch Eternal Love of Dream. After one episode it was like "meh, wanna watch something different now". ^_^' Sometimes I really love my mood and once in a while I just wanna tell it to give me a break and not interfere. It did push me to watch Birthcare Center though, a drama I ended up loving so maybe my mood was right, once again...
I dont have a standard process that i always follow , some kdramas i find by searching tags , others by focusing…
Me neither, it differs. Sometimes all I need is a look at the cast or at the synopsis. Sometimes I take a look at all those mentioned things when I'm not sure at all. And yes, articles can also lead to a decision of watching a drama. I was encouraged by an article to watch The Lost Tomb series and Perfect and Casual.
I just realised that my choosing to watch a drama is a three step process: Watch Trailer and one fanmade MV. It…
I like your technique of watching the trailer and a fanmade MV. I use it when a synopsis and pictures are not enough for me and want to see if leads have chemistry. It's good that you are okay with dropping. :)
I can relate. I dropped some dramas after 1-2 episodes as well. Usually I try to give them at least 4 or more…
For me a drama's purpose is to entertain me. If it feels like homework or doing chores to watch it then something is going wrong and I should change to something that gives me a good time instead.
Hi Moonchild, you mean overrated drama that you rated low? You can always write an article that's the other way…
"it wasn't that good of an idea" How glad I am you did not listen to those people. The idea is great and I'm happy someone dared to touch sensitive topics as "unpopular opinions". I know you can earn quite some backlash for this and I would be lying if I said I'm not afraid of negative response but I think every opinion should be heard even if it's uncomfortable to some.
I'll surely get back to you for some advise or any questions that might appear. Also will include you in the writing process if you wish. Your input is very much appreciated and welcome. Thanks for the offer. :)
Oh and I don't mind you being "possessive" about it. That's your right. It's totally understandable, don't worry. ^^ I also have some babies on my own I hold dear and would fight like a lion for if necessary. xD
That's true. When it comes to Chinese Dramas I take a look at AvenueX' channel for example. Recently she saved…
I'm about to remove it from my list as well, but I dunno I still want to give it a closer look. After all it's adapted from a novel of Priest who also wrote Guardian, a favorite of mine. Though I think if it's really that bad I'll just read the novel instead. xD This dramas are not on my radar yet but I'm always looking forward to her opinions.

There need to be good reasons for me to watch something including Horror and my mood also needs to agree. xD
