You really have poor taste in actors if you think this talented and charming ML is bad. Like 0 taste lol. And ability to pick up on good acting talent either.
I couldn't relate to this drama. I found the overall life philosphy all wrong. I've been thinking what exactly I found wrong:
Romaticing sacrifice and being an eternal victim. Martyrdom complex. Especially normilizing women sacrifing all for family. Normalizing giving up dreams rather than AT LEAST trying to move forward EVEN A LITTLE.
A drama about STAGNATION and Anti-selfgrowth.
To me life is about moving forward and improving your circumstances, not accepting your circumstances. Even if it the process is slow and hard, it's much better than this ETERNAL VICTIMHOOD this drama disgustingly praises...
EXPLORATION, rather than just being stuck in a small island all life.... This drama is definitely not for more cosmopolitan city people or multiligual people who enjoy travel... Drama more for people who grew up in small villages similarly to the leads...
Great plot worth to watch, although for me personally this was waaaaaaaaaaay too slowpaced, so I had a hard to finishing it, despite liking the plot, so I can only give it a 7/10 rating.
People should watch it to get encouragement to boldly do things, follow your wishes, start over etc.
The friendship between the young 20s man the much older 70 year old man was really heart-touching too. They both learned and groew from each other. I cried alot. Already since ep 1.
Finally, but not the least, it's great to have a kdrama where narrow gender roles aren't followed and two men are not too scared to do ballet, their passion.
They changed ML from Street Magician into a prosecutor.... Will ML still do Magic tricks despite this? He can be a prosecutor with magic tricks hobby??
There isn't any fantasy or darker romance type kdramas competing with this lately or any time this year.
Everything else is either romance, royalty romance (wether modern monarchy or timetravel or altenrative european inspired mornachy like Shim MinAh's drama).. or office Romance or slife of life/healing.
....I have a feeling this kdrama will do REALLY WELL (Simply for standing out!), AS LONG AS IT'S WELL WRITTEN!
The casting is already 10/10.
July doesn't even have much competition in terms of other kdranas overall either, especially in romanc genre only this and See You At Work Tomorrow the only Romances airing at that time lol..
the child is not even born and u guys here counting at what age his parent will die , don't u have nothing better…
Yeah I hope they have some other Younger friends/siblings/relatives in mind who can continue to watch over their kid in their place when older or something.....

but a more mood‑driven, slightly melancholic, slice of life DARK DRAMEDY....Like the movie.
I don't want a silly fluffy romcom (soo many of those anyway), keep it serious with only SOME comedy!
FL should be depressed and anxious like in the movie, and not silly and playful...
Makers you have ONE JOB, keep the FANTASTIC MOVIE TONE.
