This paragraph is insane: "Just before the release of the K-drama, the actor was embroiled in a controversy after being caught disposing of cigarette butts on the street without permission, for which he had to pay a fine.
In response, Choi Hyun Wook conveyed his remorse through a handwritten letter, stating, "First, I would like to extend my apologies to the fans for causing disappointment. Despite the need to be responsible at all times, I have disappointed many people with my reckless actions...."
Only in Korea does one need to make pr apology statement for such silly small nonsense. π
Love Wi Ha Joon. But not sure about the female lead. Never watch her dramas. Is this a noona romance? She looks…
Don't worry she's good. Watched her in Bubblegum with Lee Dong Wook. From there can tell she's good at acting out a romance mor lowkey and naturally and not cheesy like some k actors. π So this should be a good pairing with good chemistry and realism.
She also has the same type of charm as Wi Ha Joon (both give natural, calm, analytical introvert vibes) that will make them both likable on the screen.
i just finished the webtoon and jihoon really is the perfect choice for hyeon/akhee- i canβt wait!
Could you please tell me what role the brother plays, it's it just a small side character noone pays much attention to or does he play a big role in the plot and is he scene stealer type of very likable character?
(Just need to know these things, as a fan of Hwang Hee who plays the brother)
Hopefully in the future he can cast Hwang Hee in a ML role finally, quite tired of seeing him play the brother of the leads π
In other words, I wish this will become a HUGE HIT drama (&the brother character to play a big role in the plot here), just to boost Hwang Hee's popularity (needed for him to become the lead!) π
"Only children and childish people dislike IOTNBO". = your failing logic. π
Go watch Kill Me Heal Me and Mad For Each other, far superior mental health themed dramas.
IOTNBO has people fooled that it's suppsedly a masterpiece by it's stunning visuals LMAO. Maybe some of us actually crave actual substance in a drama.
Also you logic "Something being popular, makes it a masterpiece" LMAO troll, there are many average even BAD things that are popular and mnay high quality masterpieces overlooked by the foolish masses.
also this part ". I am also grateful to be able to meet and work with a good colleague as well as a teacher Ahn Pan Seok whom I respect." She's so right, WHJ is a great actor and APS is a good director!!
Live Up To Your Name and Queen In Hyun's Man was so good. They're a 10 for me. I haven't seen Nine Times Time…
The first half is really 10/10, but unfortunately the 2nd half is only like an 8.5, wen't downhill. I would still give it go though, as it's still a very good drama and no bad ending that would make it not worth it. Simply the 2nd half not as good, but till good.
Actually I'm considering rewatchng it now (instead of this new one with questionable casting), to see if 2nd half still bothers me as much.
But anyway give it a go, just remember to not expect same quality later on, but still is good, years later I still remember the drama fondly. Even with messy 2nd half, still much better than most dramasπ
I agree with 'A Business Proposal'; but Its 'Okay To Not Be Okay' are NOT overrated. that drama has a very unique…
There are far better Mental Health themed dramas. While it has stunning visuals & interesting animations, IOTNBO falls flat in execution and even normalizes abuse.
Mad For Each Other, Kill Me Heal Me are a million times better than that overrated one. The upcoming Daily Dose of Sunshine seems promising & hopefully lives up to expectations. Mental Health theme is not unique at all, if you watch more dramas. It's however and excellent theme and often good dramas can be found there, I just don't think IOTNBO deserves its hype over the othes.
Finally some people here agree that It's ok to not be ok, Goblin, Mr Sunshine, Secretary Kim,, A Business Proposal,, True Beauty, Stranger, Our Beloved Summer are BORING/BAD/OVERRATED DRAMAS.

Or perhaps the actors pulled out because production sucks, so they had to settle for lesser actors? π€π€ π π

Bring on the social message and mental health focus rather!
So tired of these "people" making spam accounts on MDL lately ....
