Most cross-dressing characters are the leads, and they have to fit that sort of "feminine" mold, so you can tell quickly. The actor playing Bu is tall and lean but not skinny. And her face shape is androgynous so it works.

That's a nice arc for the manhwa. For screen (and given the limited runtime), they'd want to amp viewer empathy for Jay and give him a motivation, so rewriting the mum makes sense. That's just what I think.

Just finished episode one and I thought the guy was really charming. Saw a few comments about him being cringey and too physically affectionate and I think in a world where people try to act all cool and calculating it was actually refreshing to see someone put themselves out. Doing "cringe" things towards someone you like is taking a risk. It could backfire on you.

I'm tired. Characters moving mad in the name of love and protection when they can just own their selfish interests.
