KP- I dont mind them, funny enough I wasn't crazy for the pool scene. It was still nice to see though. Porsche,…
Ditto my feelings for all the couples.
I just feel a bit more for Kim than I do for Chay. Guess maybe coz Chay is a kid and this seems like an infatuation for his idol. But Kim is a man and he is falling - kicking and screaming - but falling nevertheless. And something in the way Jeff shows his feelings without changing his facial expressions just gets to me.
The Bad - KimChay just got 2 minutes this episode (as usual).
The Okay - KinnPorsche. I am not much invested in them now TBH. The pool scene was their least interesting make out scene till now and would have been forgettable if not for the fantastic setting. Plus Porsche trading Pete for info from Vegas made me want to punch him for his selfishness. He can see that Pete is broken physically and emotionally. He also knows Vegas is the reason. Yet he gave Vegas access to him without even asking Pete for his consent. Not even going into the fact that he joined hands with Vegas - Vegas who was going to kill both him and his brother a few days ago.
The Good - Tankhun
The Best - VegasPete! The writers have done a great job showing the relationship progress of these two twisted men in such little screentime. Those few seconds of them lying in bed conveyed so much - Vegas thinks Pete is sexy and decent and adorable, but Pete's after-sex glow has worn off. Vegas wants to keep touching, keep looking at Pete while Pete wants some distance now.
While Vegas cooks for Pete with a quiet contentment, Pete is feeling ashamed of truly becoming his pet - a pet Vegas keeps handcuffed while having sex with him, while using him as his emotional sounding board. And when Vegas suddenly goes feral, it breaks Pete's already fragile mind. When he asks Vegas to kill him, he means it. Vegas' transformation when he realises that was wonderful. He immediately surrenders, he begs, he tells Pete he needs him. When Pete knocks him out, we know and Vegas also knows that it is not a betrayal, it's Pete's self preservation.
The way he waits for Pete to return with food on the table and breaks down when his henchman tells him that Pete has gone back to the main family was 💔 Their meeting at Yok's bar was everything. These two men have seen each other naked in every way possible, there is nothing they can hide with words or violence. I look forward to the next episode only to see how they meet again and how they interact, these two intense unpredictable men.
Actors are ordinary humans. They may be better looking than the average man on the street but that doesn't mean their thinking is better too. It is unfortunate but true that most men think that rape is no big deal. Here in India, marital rape is not considered a crime and whenever there is talk of making it a crime, the uproar from even the most educated men is nauseating. How do we know the entire KP cast doesn't feel the same? Build just got caught.
I am still going to watch KP and I know the good screenplay will make me forget what Build said. However, I know I won't be watching any behind the scenes or social media posts that feature him.
Listen, that comment can be very damaging to someone's mental health so regardless of your opinion it's not ok…
Didn't see the comment but got the gist. Just because some jerks have a keyboard and anonymity, they think they can attack people without consequences. But karma is a thing.
I think the VegasPete NC scene was deliberately kept short and without natural sounds. Kinn and Porsche's story is more or less over by now. The main hook of Season 2 is going to be the VegasPete story and then KimChay and TayTime. If they had given us a full fledged NC scene, that would have ended a lot of mystery around this couple.
So they tantalized us but didn't even show a proper kiss. No moans, no clear facial expressions. They just told us that VegasPete has their first sex and both were happy with the experience. The relationship will build from here and keep getting more and more intense (and so will their NC scenes). This one was just to satisfy those who wanted the VegasPete story and yet keep us thirsting for Season 2.
I'm an introvert myself and I understand where you're coming from. It's true, a relationship with someone who…
I guess this does prove that this show is a work of art - everyone is looking at the same thing and interpreting it differently. The common thing is that nobody is able to look away.
I'm an introvert myself and I understand where you're coming from. It's true, a relationship with someone who…
Not saying Jiwoo is a monster, just that the things he has done do not make sense. It is weird characterisation. I am still not able to figure out whether he wants to return to Seo Joon or not. I don’t understand why he kissed him and slept with him and then was so cruel to him the next day. Being an introvert does not mean being unable to communicate.
Jiwoo's POV may have been that Seo Joon would forget him quickly. Well, he hasn't and has been begging for a second chance for 8 episodes. Why did he have to read those messages to figure out how much Seo Joon has missed him? Even those tears he shed at the end of episode 8 seem to be for his own pain and not Seo Joon's. The man in plain toxic at this point.
That's because the issues did not come from him being introverted, but him having major insecurities, completely…
What I tried to say was that his situation with Seo Joon is an ideal one for an extreme introvert. There is no way he would feel lonely in that arrangement. I get that he had insecurities (honestly, who doesn't?) but I don't get that an extreme introvert was lonely in that relationship.
You are wonderful. I am an extreme introvert and this is the first time I have actually read someone so succinctly…
Hello fellow extremel introvert :) Interaction on our own terms is something very few people understand about us. I overcompensate by being extra nice but it takes a toll.
I have read a lot of analysis of episodes 7 & 8 all over the internet. There is a lot of sympathy for Jiwoo and how lonely he was in that relationship.
I tried but could not sympathize with him. I am an extreme introvert myself. I like to be left alone, rather I need to be left alone. It is frustrating for people who live with me. If I was Jiwoo, the relationship with Seo Joon would be the ideal one for me coz SJ's celebrity status and social circle would ensure that he doesn't need me to fill his days. We spend a little but meaningful time together every day, and we both get the companionship and emotional stability we need from one another.
So I don't get Jiwoo's loneliness with a very loving and supportive partner who also gives him all the space an extreme introvert needs. And I most definitely don't get the rudeness and harshness he has been piling on the man who is desperate for his love even after a year of ghosting. You don't deliberately hurt the one you love, you just don't kick a puppy.
Immediately after watching episode 8 yesterday I wrote here that I wish Seo Joon would fall in love with Yoo Ha's mother coz she is a pure soul like him. That was my anger talking. Truth is the romantic in me still wants Seo Joon and Jiwoo to end up together. But this time Jiwoo needs to make a lot of effort. Coz Seo Joon may love him too much but he is also bitter about the way he has been treated. That bitterness will always live in his heart, even if they reconcile.
This is what I want to watch in a BL - the angst, the looks, the sighs, the hesitation, the always-present sexual tension between two gorgeous boys who keep hurting each other and yet keep coming back for more. I wish this wasn't released when KinnPorshe and To My Star are still airing. Then I would have been able to savour it more.
I came to watch a BL and ended up hoping that Seo Joon and the little girl's mother would fall in love, and then these two pure souls would live happily ever after.
Jiwoo should just take his twisted mind and leave the country.

More power to you Mimi.
