Yes, the actors gave it their all but the direction was super weird.

Don't think it is love for Pete yet (that's why I wasn't happy with his not running away) but Vegas has been falling for Pete since that talk about their dads. He is still a manipulative bastard but now all his manipulations are resulting in his developing a deeper connection with Pete.

Pete is satisfied but Vegas is anxious.....chicken soup for my soul!

If only we could have heard them both instead of that weird background music.

That! I just wished they hadn't given Pete the chance to run away before that. His staying back showed care for Vegas at the wrong time. This should have been a hook-up without feelings involved, the realisation of feelings should have started post-sex.

I noticed something while rewatching the VegasPete NC scene (ahem). When Pete 'gives in' and pulls Vegas in for the first kiss, there is a 'gotcha' smile on Vegas' face. However, after they have sex, it is Pete who is smiling happily while Vegas looks at him like.......it is a bit difficult to explain the expression on his face - it's as if he is fascinated but also a bit anxious/scared. Like he knows this wasn't just a hook up and he is in deep.

I am hoping they will salvage it in the next episode. The preview was funny with VegasPete having a heart to heart in bed with a handcuff around Pete's wrist. Coz even after the soul-baring mourning and consensual sex, Vegas doesn't trust Pete not to run away!

I guess that's right. It's just that it wasn't convincing BDSM either. Tying his hands with rope when his hands have been tied up for weeks anyway....

And that NC scene was so half-hearted. I mean, if it was going to be all weird camerawork, at least they should have let us hear some moans instead of that ambiguous background music.

I don't know if my expectations were too high but I am kind of disappointed. Pete not running away when he could just because Vegas' hedgehog was dying just took me out. And then that sudden NC scene while mourning its death was kind of......weird. I get that sex can be very comforting in times of stress but this was not comfort sex, this was BDSM and not a very convincing one.

I really would have liked to see more relationship progress of VegasPete in this episode than all the Korn stuff. Chay throwing away his future coz he is heartbroken was again disappointing but then these brothers are such fools in love. Loved Kim's I-care-for-you-but-I-don't-care-for-you attitude in the club. Frankly for me that club scene had a bigger impact than the VegasPete NC scene.

Boy am I glad that I haven't read the book. Don't feel no robbed!

First of all I am so happy there was no rape. Coz there can be no forgiveness for rape, let alone love. Vegas being Vegas tortured Pete to the max, and Pete being Pete refused to become the pet Vegas wanted to make him.

It made sense when Vegas was alarmed to see Pete passed out. Coz for the first time Vegas is at his most vulnerable. He is on the run from the main family and his father is not letting him forget it. All alone in that safehouse he only has Pete for company and Pete is a novelty for him. The man has guts and he has integrity (and he is hot!). With just a few words he lifted the weight Vegas was carrying around inside him for years.

Even when completely brutalised Pete retained his sunshine and the cold darkness of Vegas' heart felt its warmth. Of course Vegas would cook for Pete - he wants Pete healthy and fit now. He craves more of that sunshine 😍

This uploads in my country at 11 pm. And here I am watching it till 12.30 on a Sunday night. With zero regrets!

Oh my God! The angst! Such delicious angst! The end of episode 4 made me screech. It was so unexpected. Didn't expect all that poker faced indifference of Jiwoo to crash so suddenly. Seo Joon's determination and persistence is chipping away at the block of ice that is Jiwoo's heart. Can't wait to see the glacier melting slowly (or fast!) 😍

Hey Kinn, You sent Pete on a suicide mission and he hasn't returned yet. A phone call to check his whereabouts maybe?

Hey Porsche, Big just died to save you. Some respect for the dead before making farting jokes?

How can you bastards go rolling and laughing in bed immediately after losing two of your best men?

For the first time watching Kinn and Porsche kiss and cuddle irritated me. Kinn truly doesn't deserve to be the boss and Porsche is plain dumb. Both came across as selfish jerks today.

Thank God VegasPete is starting. I wouldn't have wanted to watch the next episode if it wasn't for them.

When Kim was speaking with Big today about Porsche and Chay's parent's death, he made a remark about the possibility of their mother being his father's mistress. Then dismissed it as a joke. I think this is very much on his mind that Chay could be his brother.

Episode 8 was such a tonal change but I still loved it. Why not have people in love enjoy their feelings before the next crises pops up? And Apo had such amazing comic timing in the ghost scenes! Ngl I was giggling all through the episode 😄

I am loving how Kimchay is developing. They have had only 4 interactions till now and each time Kim wanted to leave but ended up staying. He is falling for Chay inspite of himself. He knows it too, hence the remark about losing too much time on Porsche. At this point he is not as interested in knowing Porsche's intentions as he is in getting proof that Chay is not his step brother.

Now if only Vegas-Pete would start too. I want their relationship to be a slow burn and there isn't much time left for that. I have a hunch that Tawan could be the reason for Kinn to send Pete to Vegas' house (a girl can hope!)

I enjoyed watching this from the beginning to end. Maybe because I watched it in the spirit it was meant to be watched. The show's trailer showed it was going to be unrealistic fairytale with hot chemistry between the leads, and that's exactly what it delivered.

As for those complaining that it was toxic, well hello, show me one fairytale that isn't toxic. Stockholm syndrome? Beauty and the Beast was Stockholm syndrome. Grooming? Both boys grew up knowing they are engaged to be married (unrealistic fairytale) but Lian didn't touch Kuea till he was 20. And then they couldn't keep their hands off each other - just want I want from a rom com, thank you very much. Loved that they both looked like they enjoyed every second of the skinship unlike BLs where the MLs do a lot of grunting and rubbing but you can clearly see they don't want to touch each other.

No character growth? Two men in their first relationship figuring out how relationships work and working through their communication issues with hits and misses? In the end both come clean and decide to be themselves? And adjust? Yup, enough for me.

What will stay with me about this series are the lovely kisses and make out scenes between Zee and Nunew. And Nunew's singing. The boy is a born star. Zee continues to be delicious (though I hope he cuts down on the heavy make up, he doesn't need it). Look forward to anything these two decide to come up with next, together or individually.

They are reckless but why shouldn't they be? They should also enjoy the benefits of being young :)

So I was right - the show has definitely become more interesting now that Yoo Seung Ho has stepped up. I love that the women in this show are so gutsy but the guys being too much in their shadow was a bummer. That's finally fixed.

Did not expect THAT to be the birth secret twist. And the preview shows both Young and Roseo being badass together. Good times ahead!
