Question: Do you know what's wrong with this is comment section?
Xiao Qilin if you think that if you block me I don't know you're posting under my comment you're wrong.
Answer: What's wrong with this comment section is that it's full of COWARDS. Xiao Qilin, a good example, is at least the 2nd person in the last 24hrs that blocked me and continued to post under my comments thinking I wouldn't see it cause I'm blockedπ.
You are pathetic Xiao Qilin. And the other person was Meggyszosz.
I live for the number of people who woke up today and decided to continue causing drama in this comment section. I salute you, you are supporting a good cause.
For first-timers, here's all that's wrong with this show in a nutshell:
1. It straightwashed a LGBTQ+ webnovel. 2. It cast an actor previously convicted of statutory rape & prostitution of a minor. 3. It used queerbaiting to lure BL fans, whereas it completely removed the very central gay storyline. 4. It completely disregarded the fact that the main message the original webnovel sent talked about homophobia. 5. It was produced in South Korea, a country that doesn't have any anti-homosexual censorship laws (contrary to China), and yet decided to censor the LGBTQ+ part of the story. 6. The producers changed the main characters from gay to straight because they were afraid a LGBTQ+ inclusive show would make them lose money.
Actually, he was convicted of statutory rape and prostitution of a minor. He lured her in with so-called fame & money. And he was more than twice her age at that time.
The main 2 things I've learnt from the comment section of this show so far:
1. If somebody is a convicted rapist but he'd played in many dramas, and they were good, and nobody cared back then, who cares now. Let's forget the issue. Also the girl was "almost" of age (17), and after SAing her he offered her money for more SA. I mean, I'm waiting for "she asked for this" at this stage ππ To the girls saying this: for your own sake I hope none of you are ever in that girl's situation, cuz apparently nobody will care.
2. If you say that you support LGBTQ+ rights, and a show straightwashes a LGBTQ+ novel, but the MLs are cute and the story is entertaining, who cares. Let's forget the issue. The majority of people are not gay anyway, so who cares about the fact that the main moral of the story was directly linked to homophobia. As long as the MLs are cute nothing else matters lol. Let's hope you are never in a minority of any kind.
I completely agree with the comment left on the-bl-xpress.com by Ian Reid on FEBRUARY 6, 2024 'I donβt mean…
Sadly, the majority just doesn't care. As long as there are "cute boys" it's a 10 π These days talent, or how smart somebody is, are just a nice add-on. What really matters is looks, lol. This is the sad reality of the BL industry. Half of it is homophobic anyway...
People aren't rating it 1.0 because it's not good. We are rating it 1.0 because it is our duty to send a message…
Because if it's rated badly across all platforms then it might change something. Or even just on MDL. Yes, they do read what the community says. You gotta start somewhere.
some people are mad cause they removed the gay relationship.
Yes, and it's very sad that they can end up as collateral. But if we don't send a message now, this will go on.And the only way to send a message to the show producers is to cancel the show. If people don't care he will play in more shows. And he shouldn't be a public figure at this point.
And this message is not only about the rapist. It is also about gay-washing. That shouldn't be a thing either.
Ppl dropping it without watching and just devoting with 1.Thinking like that is boycott snd insulting ppl who…
And to everyone who's wondering why I'm talking to myself like this, after blocking me and unblocking me, and then blocking me again Meggyszosz decided to remove their comments, cuz they must've noticed how ridiculous they looked. Thanks for reading anyways.ππ
China has LGBT related media banned by law.S. Korea is not banned by law.The producers chose to do this straight…
It's a contextual reply. I was referring to viewers who would look at the leads and not see gay leads, but straight guys, because the whole gay storyline and that part of them as people were removed from the plot.
China has LGBT related media banned by law.S. Korea is not banned by law.The producers chose to do this straight…
Like I wrote in my other comments, it used to be a show about gay guys, now it's a story about straight guys. So it's been straight-washed. No romance needed. Even if it was a horror flick, if they were gay and now are straight, the show's been made straight on purpose. My comment is referring to the removal of gay people from the plot.

A show that used to have gay people in it, even if there was no romance, would have a tag "gay lead" or something similar. It would be a show about a gay person, even if it was a horror series, not a romance story. So if that aspect is gone, now it's straight.
China has LGBT related media banned by law.S. Korea is not banned by law.The producers chose to do this straight…
Exactly. There aren't any gay people either. And there used to be. So they straight-washed it. You know, made the people who were gay look straight, by removing their gay plot.
China has LGBT related media banned by law.S. Korea is not banned by law.The producers chose to do this straight…
I never said it was a romance. I said they had made the show straight, i.e. removed the gay romance parts. So now it doesn't have romance and it doesn't have gay people in it.

Welp...So if there is no female lead the show is now gay? π The point is they straight-washed a gay novel. They can't even go beyond a certain part in the plot with this show unless they make major changes to the story, because there will be big holes in it. The gay relationship is that big of a part of the original novel. Which is why they stuck with only the beginning of the story for this show, I guess (or so I've heard).
