But by supporting this show you support its producers, and they cast the rapist to begin with. They are to blame he's here in the first place, when he shouldn't be. And you are literally supporting them.
some people are mad cause they removed the gay relationship.
I'm actually Korean American. Yes, I am American, but also a yes - I go to Korea every year, and for long periods of time. So I guess that perhaps your judgment is biased.

I guess who you call "haters" do that, because this matter is a very important thing. Our society should not condone or support shows that allow rapists on the cast, or discriminate against other sexualities.
If something is well-written, in this particular case it should be copied and pasted so that it can reach as many people as possible.
I personally think this show should be canceled. Otherwise the message we send to the producers and investors is that we are ok with rapists and discrimination.
I don't know who you are calling out, but I for one, support my views with arguments.

Oh look, you unblocked me. At least (hopefully) you learned that not every time you think you are "smart" (by e.g. blocking others so you can comment on their posts and not have them comeback at you) you are really that smart.
I support people that learn from their mistakes & change, so I will respond to your latest comment, in hopes I can explain some things to you.
I copy pasted parts of my other comments all around this comment section, because this is an important matter and it should be widely discussed. This show should be canceled. And there is no need to rewrite something that's already well-written (i.e. my commentsπ).
Your understanding of my logic is inherently wrong. My problem isn't with the plot of this show. Plots of a lot of shows include SA, murder and other atrocities, and we still watch them because these stories are meant to make us think & discuss the issues our society faces. And usually these shows condemn those "immoral" actions. If they promoted them, that would be another story. But here we are not even discussing the plot. We are discussing the act of deleting a gay relationship from the plot - that doesn't speak of how good or bad the plot is because it's not even in the plot. Instead, it speaks volumes of the producers' intentions. And, not to forget, we are also discussing including a convicted rapist on the cast - and that has absolutely nothing to do with the plot. So Breaking Bad or Hannibal aren't relevant examples here, because they show certain behaviors, and that is what tv and movies are all about. They make us think. They don't promote these actions. We are canceling this show because of the producers' actions, not the plot. And the producers' actions in this case promote homophobia and approval of SA.
Yes it's an illustrated novel, I did correct myself a while ago, but it might've been another thread.

Oh, and BTW the author of the comment I mentioned above is Meggyszosz, and is still actively replying to my comments, cuz the MDL system is buggy and I can see they did reply, just not what they wrote.
So to everyone who ever reads it, I'd like to say: It's a sign of a true COWARD to keep replying to my comments, but block me so that I don't see what you are replying.

Ok, my bad. It's a semi-illustrated novel.
As for the author agreeing to the change: Between the moment an author sells rights to their work and the time the story gets used a lot of time might pass. You are not privy to the contents of the agreement they had signed with the producers of this show. In the vast majority of these cases the authors (especially the lesser-known ones) have agreements that allow the producers to make changes to the story without asking for the author's consent. It's extremely rare that the author has the right to sign off on any changes. So you don't really know what went on behind the scenes. I wouldn't be so quick to say the author agreed to the changes.
If you decide to ignore the elephant in the room, and still support this show, there is a name for that behavior. The name is ignorance. There is a whole book written on that, it's called "1984". I highly recommend it.

This is a message to that one person who is in this comment thread and just blocked me after reading my comments (honestly, I'm flattered that my comment has shown everybody your true colors)π.
Anyway, now I can't see their comments nor respond to them, so I'm responding in the same thread instead.
Your guess who I am responding toπ
Well, if you are happy to support a show that allows a rapist on its cast list, and is happy to take a LGBTQ+ story (as if there weren't millions of straight stories) and make it straight, then I suppose you aren't against the values it promotes. And the values it promotes by doing so are homophobia and condoning SA. So you end up also promoting these values. Which would make you a homophobe and an SA supporter. That is logic.
The whole reason why people rate this show so low is to send a message to the producers & investors of this show, as well as all other shows, that it doesn't pay off to cast a convicted rapist in their show, and disrespect the LGBTQ+ community by making a BL webtoon a straight story.β¨β¨
You shouldn't support a show that goes greatly against your beliefs, β¨same as you wouldn't date a rapist, even if he was super hot, right? Or at least I would hope so...
some people are mad cause they removed the gay relationship.
There are literally SO many great webtoons that are straight, so there is no need to adapt the ones that aren't if you want to make them straight for money gains. This is about respect, not just removing a gay relationship from the show. Why they had to resort to adapting a webtoon that was meant to be a BL boggles me... Go find a story that doesn't represent the LGBTQ+ community and you're good for keeping it straight.
And don't even get me started on the obvious elephant in the room...π
Guys, my fellow BL fans, I am telling you, you should watch the series first before making any comments and rating…
People aren't rating it 1.0 because it's not good. We are rating it 1.0 because it is our duty to send a message to the producers & investors of this show, as well as all other shows, that it doesn't pay off to cast a convicted rapist in their show, and disrespect the LGBTQ+ community by making a BL novel a straight story.
If we didn't rate it 1.0 that would make us hypocrites.
Same as you don't date a rapist, even if he's super hot, right? Or at least I would hope so...
It's originally an LGBTQ+ webtoon that was adapted into a straight kdrama cuz it would make more money for the investors, and a convicted rapist is a part of the cast. That's why people who don't want to promote homophobia and SA rate it 1.0 right off the bat.
Ppl dropping it without watching and just devoting with 1.Thinking like that is boycott snd insulting ppl who…
I can assure you that supporting a show that promotes homophobia & condones sexual assault is way more insulting to SA victims and the LGBTQ+ community, as well as all the fans of the original webtoon.
what's wrong with the rating??? you guys stupid?? why are you guys so mean? If u don't like it,then don't watch…
It's originally an LGBTQ+ illustrated novel that was adapted into a straight kdrama cuz it would make more money for the investors, and a convicted rapist is a part of the cast. No surprise the people aren't happy with it.
