Finally completed the drama. My thoughts on this remains the same. Leads chemistry gave much of a sibling love rather than a romantic vibe. The MC, of course, is very much likeable. The acting though is still a bit bland. It didn't caught my emotions on scenes which supposedly have led me to tears but did not. But, I have to commend the villain actors. Great acting, specially Suying. I just find it odd that Suying, Su'er and Xuelin do really look alike. I sometimes confuse them who's who. I basically sticked to the end just to find who'll defeat who. Sadly, it was merely a human who defeated Suying and not any powerful entity which only shows she's really more powerful than the dragon king. And for the dark phantom, surprisingly, it was the FL who defeated him and not our dragon king. It's just a questionable thought of making the Dragon King so powerful, yet, wasn't really able to defeat any of the villains. Anyways, the ending just gave me an Avengers Chinese version vibe. It's like Thanos snapping his fingers to spread out chaos all over the world. Overall, this is just an okay drama for me. But for Xianxia, still, Ancient Love Poetry, Love Between Fairy and Devil and The Starry Love won my heart. For a romance enthusiast, I wouldn't recommend this honestly. But, if you simply just want to be entertained with eyecandy leads, this is an okay drama to watch. One last thing, I have to commend the CGI for this drama is really exemplary.

I haven't finished the drama yet, but I must agree in all of these. I do share same thoughts specially on the romance and the filler side stories. It really felt unnecessary.
@ep. 30. I'm really struggling with this drama, honestly speaking. I like Neo Huo, FL is also likeable in this drama. Just like any other Xianxia dramas. Full of betrayals. I was kinda hoping for the romance to kick in after the ML got together at ep.27. But, I'm just not feeling it. All I see is a couple with so much care for each other that feels like platonic and not romantic love. I guess the lack of skinships and romantic scenes makes this too bland for me. I felt the romantic vibe more on LBFAD than here. Will try my best to hold on till the end, I just wanted to see how Suying will be defeated. Great acting by her by the way. Like by just seeing her face makes me mad. hehehe I'm just wondrin' how she was able to get all these power that she became more powerful than a Dragon King? For just a mere Taoist member and not even a "real" leader became this powerful. And yeah, except for the FL, I find the women in this drama so pathetic in love. Like they do all the desperate moves just to get the love of their lives. Good thing the FL has her pride intact.

The closest intimacy I'm seeing from the leads are just reading the mind's eye which is just touching their foreheads. 😁 I'm a big fan of kisses and skinships, so I hope it will be not as disappointing as Duoluo Continent with zero meter skinships. 😁

Currently midway ep. 18. I really liked how FL responded. I liked how she reserved her pride afterall she has been betrayed. Thanks for explaining. That truth I have to see if it's worth accepting. Sometimes, even if the truth tries to clear matters, once the damage has already done, it's quite hard to retract it back specially if it involves pure emotions and trust.
Not really a fan of slowburns and minimal skinships. Currently at ep. 17. How long will it still take for the leads to be officially together? Story is interesting but lots of betrayal. I feel sad for FL's character. Such a pure heart, but kept on being betrayed including the ML. I'm suppose to like the ML, however, his heart and mind is so clouded by revenge. I prefer a ML who prefers FL safety than revenge.
After completing the drama, here are my thoughts. Again. I'm not a Zhang Bin Bin fan, but he is really likeable in this drama. You would love him for portraying Yan Shi's character so well. Not to mention his good execution of kisses. Not a fan of Janice Wu either, but she was able to pull off that great chemistry with Vin. Storywise, almost have the same plot with You are My Glory. But, to choose between the two, I'd prefer this drama. Why? First the comedy aspect. I really enjoyed the comic lines here. Specially with Grandpa Situ. The romance, definitely. A bit late though which started at ep. 20, still, there are lots of kisses towards the end of the drama. Finally the ending, though we were all anticipating how romantic the wedding proposal and ceremony would be, that crushed everyones' anticipation. At least, what I liked here, they had a kid to start their family with. not the perfect ending, but I still prefer this ending compared to the other drama mentioned.
Btw, it's my second time to see Xiang Yuan's brother in a drama. It's quite fun to see him in a comic role this time. Last drama i saw him was in Two Conjectures of Marriage. Still, a brother role there but, a bit more serious side of him still, on a corporate setting..
For the things I felt off or lacking, first the SC which I prefer have broken up instead of getting back together. I don't like Chen Shu from the start. I really felt Gao Leng deserves a better woman who can love him as he is just like Lin Qing Qing. Second, I was kinda looking forward for Ms. Li to get her karma or punishment for all her evil deeds, but it wasn't showned. She even got the audacity to visit grandpa Situ in the hospital. Third, I really hate the professor's attitude. He should have not been given much emphasis towards the end. Lastly, this should have ended already at. ep. 28. Ep.29 onwards for me felt drag and unnecessary.
Overall, still a good romcom you shouldn't miss for this year. It's an 8.5 for me.

About the brother, is the kid his legitimate brother or a stepbrother? I mean do they have the same moms? I'm trying to recall the flashback when their dad called and asking Yan shi to take care of the kid. Like he was forced to do so. I mean for a young bachelor who knows nothing of taking care of child, yet was obligued to do so. I kinda hated the dad of passing his responsibility to his son. But of course, everyone won the hearts of Yan Shi for being responsible enough to take care of the kid when he was quite young himself still back then. I'm just guessing that the feeling of detachment of Yan Shi to his brother simply because of this. That he had to become a parent for a kid that is supposedly not his responsibility. He missed out opportunities such as being together with the FL because of the kid. However, he implied that he accepted the fate.
Decided to check this out. Interesting story plot. Just noticed the actors are newbies. But, i must say, the leads pulled off their roles so well. Chemistry is definitely there. Good execution of kisses for a newbie. I just find the oversleeping due to touch reaction is quite stretched too long. Like, I'm kinda looking forward for the leads to have a lovey dovey sweet moments together, but, it always end up with sleeping. Well, at least, this is kinda fast paced. No need to wait halfway of the drama before the leads get officially a couple. Still, 9 eps to go.
