All the projects a certain good actor does will definitely be a big hit. Obviously, what you're stating is not showing in this case.

After watching Prince of Lan Ling, I was looking for a new drama to watch and ended up watching this. Turned out, it was the same ML. Honestly, story plot is almost the same between these 2 dramas mentioned. The only difference is that the former has a sad ending and this one had a happy one. I liked the different approach on the wedding ceremony. Their clothes looked like Christmas clothes on the wedding ceremony. 😁
Overall, it started great, like for the first 22eps, then went a bit draggy onwards until the last 2 eps. I liked the humor in between. The romance is cute but the sizzle is quite lacking. Specially on kisses and skinships. ML's character is not ideal for me. I prefer Liu Chen/Emperor's character. I wish he was given a partner as well. Secondary couple was cute too. FL's character is just okay. No annoying trait at least. Another stand out character for me is Zhi Jian aside from Liu Chen. I just like both of them. Sadly, both of them weren't given partners till the end.
I'm gonna give this drama an 8. This is quite enjoyable for a not purely intense historical drama.

One of the rare old dramas I did enjoy except for the ending. I'm not a fan of sad endings, but the story plot is quite good. ML's character is not ideal for me but his injected humor in some scenes made me enjoy the romance though kisses and skinships are a bit lacking. FL's character is just okay. It's just annoying sometimes of her being too kind that made these men around her fall for her. I think this is also a SML syndrome for me. Sadly, FL is not into him but he literally did everything for her compared to ML. Aother sad character is Xiao Dong.Overall, good acting by the entire cast. Zheng Er's character is truly annoying till the end. As well as Gao Wei. Like I said, I'm not into sad endings, so it's 7.5 for me. But, if you don't mind such endings, this is a recommendable drama.

This drama has a great potential for a low budget short mini series. Good story plot. Only downside for me is the poor execution of kisses. Like short mini series these days have good kisses execution just like Forever Love. And yeah, the ending felt so rushed. And that masquerade thing just didn't seem fit the ending. It's a 7.0 for me.

I think am gonna drop this on the 15th. The story is going nowhere. Too slowburn. Gaming dramas is just not my cup of tea except for Go Go Squid and Falling into your Smile. Also Love 020.
This is just too draggy. Lead characters are simply too boring for me. Like I tried to give it a chance till the 15th but there's really.no progress in terms of romance not even skinships. This is too overrated I believe. it's just a 6.0 for me.

This drama was initially good, not until the last 3 eps. The ending was just a complete mess. Story plot was interesting though all the cliches on a Xianxia drama was there. I'm not a Zhang Bin Bin fan but I liked him in Here We Meet Again. Same goes with FL, not a fan of her either but liked her in Sunshine of My Life. I guess, one thing am looking forward to this drama are the kisses and skinships that never came. I kinda hoped for that given the good kisses both of the leads rendered in the above-mentioned dramas. That's one downside of this drama, so much lacking of skinships and kisses. Well, at least I get to see Wang You Shou again. He got me mesmerized by his charm the 3rd time. Was caught by his charm in the dramas Jun Jiu Ling and Blooms at The Ruyi Pavillion. He never failed to catch my attention now as the Demon King/He Na. I would really love to see the FL ended up with him rather than the ML. I really think they have more chemistry. I really liked the part when He Na said: My palace still needs a Demon Queen. Oh my, I would like to apply myself. 😁
Luo Ning's story got more interesting than the leads themselves.This is a complete wasted potential. Like the last 3 eps got me confused. He Na died then was alive again. And yeah, FL also died and got back again. I just didn't like the concept of the ML having dual personalites. The ending was a complete epic fail for me. I'd rather want the FL to move on with her life as the Demon Queen since she cried so hard when He Na died.

Anyways, this is just a 7.5 for me. Truly a wasted potential.

I'm usually not into this type of genre drama but got curious 3yrs after. I guess the preview of seeing the FL being betrayed by almost everyone surrounding her got me quite hooked. The story started strong for me but went downhill halfway.
Definitely this won't give you a feel good vibe. I can't say that the writer is trying to give a realistic vibe. But, for me, some scenes are just too exaggerated in terms of villainous acts. Like, the character of the ML doesn't have at least an inch of remorse. Even, the characters of 2FL and the son. Like, all you can just say is the AUDACITY! The FL herself is not ideal at all. Like her character at some point became greedy and paranoid. I think only Yerim had a character development here. Everyone else was just a crap.
The son is just so selfish in terms of character. And yes, what he did towards the end is just so unacceptable for me. Like, he just decides whatever he wanted to without having any concern for his parents. For the ML's fate. He simple deserve how things ended with him. He should have been criminally charged from the start.
Overall, I can only commend the good acting of the entire cast. Storywise, not really my cup of tea. it's 7.5 for me.

After watching Forever Love, I decided to check this out because of this couple's great chemistry. Still, the acting was good but not as fiery as the mentioned drama. Plus the ending just didn't made sense. It's just a 7 for me.

After completing this drama, it made me watch Maid's Revenge. The chemistry of this leads are simply insane! 🔥 Screaming out loud...This is how a kiss should be done!
Looking forward to see more of Gao's projects hopefully in a full length setting. it's an 8.5 for me.

Exactly. Forever Love is way better than this, inspite that being a short mini series. Chen Jing Ke is so good in romance dramas and I'm kinda disappointed with his role here. 😣

This is a clear definition of romance. The exact opposite of Dear Mr. Hermitage. I just hope there would be more dramas like this in full length.

As I said previously, totally here for Chen jing Ke. It's really a struggle honestly. the storyplot is just a complete drag for me. I just keep on forwarding scenes. The romance is just so bland. Just the last 4 eps and simply trying my best not to drop the drama.

I did watch this for Ao Rui Peng. The first 15eps was a bit slow and draggy. But, caught up later on. It's a light fluffy cute romcoms. Loved the 2 major couples. Supporting couples are cute as well specially the Princess and Ping Wei. The ending was just okay. Just find the skinships and kisses very much lacking. Overall, gave this an 8 for having no unnecessary breakups and couples are very much supportive of each other. If you're into something light romance and feel good vibe, this is recommendable.

Well, I've seen dramas that FL is rich like Begin Again, Here We Meet Again, Love of Replica and the likes. So, it's nothing new really. For no long misunderstandings, that would be a given since this is a short miniseries. There's no enough space to have long misunderstandings. hehehe Given said that, I still like this drama because of the leads' amazing chemistry. Tropey dramas is a good go for me as long as it has a good dose of romance. 😁

This is one of the rare short mini drama I get to enjoy. The story is quite predictable, nothing new. It gave me like Mysterious Love drama vibe. I like ML's character. ML kinda reminds me of Ahn Hyo Seop. One thing that got me hooked aside from ML's abs are the kisses. It's so fiery and on point. FL's character is just okay. And yeah, she also nailed the kisses. Great chemistry of the leads. Not to mention, good acting too by the entire cast. Looking forward for the remaining episodes.

One of the worst storyplot wuxia drama for me. I just felt so disappointed in this drama. From the ML who has been sick the entire 56eps. I was hoping he would at least be cured but nah! FL is just okay not the ideal type. All the villains are really hateable up to the end. Not even a character development. The only character that I liked here is Qing Lan/Jing Ruo. He clearly sticked to his goal of doing good when he regained back his memory and also clarified that he never had feelings for the villain.
So many notable characters have died which shouldn't. Totally slowburn! No skinship and long kisses which is another downside of this drama. And yes, 2 female villains who are so pathetic in love made this drama unlikeable. Definitely not a feel good vibe. So, if you're so into romance and happy endings, this is not a recommendable drama. Too many episodes which has lots of draggy moments. The only likeable for aside from Qing Lan is the swordsmanship. Good martial arts and fight skills. Overall, it's 6.5 for me. Ending is unsatisfying either.

I definitely am checking this out because of Chen Jing Ke. I liked him in Mr. Gu. I've seen the FL in historical dramas such as Chef Hua and General's Lady. I've liked her roles in those mentioned dramas. However, I'm just not feeling that great vibe on their roles here, so to speak. It started interesting for me, but got kinda pretty draggy after an episode or 2. Jing Ke looks so cool in that semi bald monk hairstyle, btw. In terms of chemistry, I don't know. but it feels a little bland for me based on the 9 eps., so I'm still waiting for the real romance to act up hopefully. And the love triangle trope doesn't just feel balanced. Liked there's no competition at all that makes it boring for me. Plus storywise, it's just so predictable. I usually like cliche dramas that has a good kick of romance, but this is just not it.
Still has a long way to go, still giving this drama a chance to boost up the romance...pleaszzze....

It's my first time to watch Win Win in a drama. He seem okay for a beginner. Have seen FL already in several Historical dramas. I think this is my first time to watch her in a contemporary setting. It started interesting but got draggy for me after an episode or 2. Story is quite predictable. Kisses were on point but it felt lacking in a way. I guess, the sweet moments together was lacking for me. Ending was just okay as well. Not really the type of dream wedding you would want to have since the parents of both parties were not present in the ceremony. Secondary couple is just okay too. Overall, this is just an okay drama to pass time if you got nothing lined up yet. it's a 7.0 for me.
