One of the rare underrated short mini drama. This is such a comic relief. Reminds me of the drama My Uncanny Destiny. First time to watch Main leads in a drama. ML is cute. Looking forward to see him again, hopefully in full length ones. A Tan really made me laugh. It's a solid 8.5 for me. A bit lacking on kisses and skinships. But, I liked the ending.
In fact, both are the adaptation of the same novel so it's definitely not an adaptation of DOTSFor my part, I'm…
I really loved DOTS after watching that way back 2016. Song Joongki was a real charmer back then. I guess, not today anymore afterall the issues he has gone thru with the respective FL. Plus I also loved the supporting cast. I consider it as one of the classics of Kdrama history. I'm a visual person, so I'm not into reading novels. so to speak. I'd rather watch it on film than read. So, for this novel that everyone is talking about. I only based on what I saw in DOTS. So after watching this, I kinda felt most scenes were copied. But then again, as everyone have said, both of these dramas adapated it to the novel, so basically, they would both have scenes that would have similar representation of the novel. It such that DOTS have a Korean flare on it and this one of course, a Chinese flare. Given I have seen both, for me I'll prefer the Korean flare. One, DOTS really gave me that comic relief. It was a total package. The real life situation scenes such as the earthquake rescue, the vehicle hanging on a cliff with FL on it, the criminal syndicate rescue, which I believe Koreans are really good at in presenting. Not to mention the good balance of romance as well and the bonus appearance of Red Velvet gave it a much complete element to the drama. For You're My Hero, I like Bai Jing Ting. He also nailed his role. But, I just find the romance too bland for this drama that's why I really prefer DOTS over this one.
So, this is technically the second pairing of the MC. The first one was ZGZZS. A different story plot though, but, the romance element is almost the same. Slow burn, FL enticing the ML, a bit poor execution of kiss which basically happened only in the final episode. Yet, the chemistry of the leads was there. I missed the Emperor though on ZGZZS. but the cast is almost the same. Overall, it's a 7.5 for me. After pairing up on 2 short mini dramas, I think the MC is ready to do full length ones.
It started interesting. After the MC got together midway, I thought the romance would be more intense. Sadly, it's just too bland for me. The kiss which only happened one ep. and the other one during the finale, is not considered a kiss but just lips touching. Not to mention, I hated the part where ML pretended to be dead and the FL just forgave him easily, like WTH, you've been insane for days and weeks thinking the love of your life has died and that's just it?!!! It's a 6.0 for me. That's generous enough for the good swordsmanship and martial arts skills. Other than that, it's a total waste of time.
The second couple pairing made it unwatchable for me. Not a fan of Dingbei Fan. Jiang Tian Cheng is probably gonna…
I've already completed the drama a few days ago. No need to rewatch, as I see no chemistry at all between the 2. If you love their pairing, I respect that. Try to read comments here as well as many don't agree with their pairing. Anyways, Mysterious Love is a total different story. You watch Mysterious Love first for you to know..
The second couple pairing made it unwatchable for me. Not a fan of Dingbei Fan. Jiang Tian Cheng is probably gonna…
I believe all the viewers here know what happened on ep. 14. No need to explain on that. The issue here is the total no chemistry between Tian Sui and Fang. It's obviously a forced pairing. Just to clarify this is not the season 2 of Mysterious Love. So, you should be looking forward to season 2 not season 3. Yes, I agree Tsao Yu Ning is a good actor. But, I guess he needs to be more diverse and do other genre dramas like romcoms or historical dramas.
I'm 100% sure that I've seen him somewhere before but unfortunately I can't remember which drama tho T^T
So I had to look back again at ep. 27 to recall his face. 😁 I think you got him right. The resemblance is there. Can't believe he's only 18Y/O. I think I've seen him in Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace unnoticeably since he portrayed a literally kid role there. Awesome research skills you got there. hehehe Thanks for the info! Appreciate it a lot. 😊
The last 2 eps. justified the lower rate. So many loopholes on the plot. Plus the forced pairing on the second couple just doesn't fit. And yeah, Jiang Tian's character wasn't even given value knowing without him the MC won't have their happy ending.
This is a sweet, fluffy, feel good drama. No heavy stuff. No major antagonists. No unnecessary breakups or silly misunderstandings. Great chemistry by the leads. Good execution of kisses and intimacy. And yes, I didn't check outright the supporting cast, so was kinda surprised to see Sky Li. He's stil as cute as ever. Zhang He is cute too, but I'm more of into Sky than him. Supporting couple had great chemistry too. Overall, gave this an 8.0. Definitely deserve a higher rating compared to other dramas with sky rocket ratings but very poor romance meter and plot.
Just finished the last 2 final eps. Honestly, I didn't felt the excitement nor the thrill that I'm suppose to feel towards its ending. Like, all I saw was just purely drama of each characters that seem doesn't make sense. Like, Xu Yongyu, a father who prefers a clone rather than accepting his own biological daughter. Not a single apology coming from himwas given to An Yue. So, basically, there had been no character development on this part. Then there's Bei Fan, whom realistically should have died thru that bomb explosion. Another forced act just to be with Tian Sui, which I never felt the chemistry at all. LJY's dad, obviously would sacrifice himself for his son. Jiang Tian, yes he survived his surgery, however, he's still alone till the end. For the ending of our MC, honestly this was too bland. I prefer how it ended for them in Mysterious Love. Overall, it's a 7.5 for me. Mysterious Love still won my heart in terms of intimacy level and plot. Apparently, I just finished watching Knight of the Rose. I just noticed the concept of the finale on the bomb explosion was also the same, even the personal survival training they had with their respective partners was the same. Plus, both of these dramas story plot conveys finding cure to cancer.
I kinda started forwarding scenes at ep. 6. I just hate that the spy undercover by ML's father is being stretched too long. Like, anyone can be a suspect, even your closest friend. After being saved by FL too many times ML still doubts her. Like for God sakes these 2 ladies entered the hospital room. Howcome, it should be the FL alone should be the suspect?!! And yeah, the undying cliche of letting the FL suffer then you regret hurting her and show you care all of a sudden after suspecting her of being a spy. It's just too frustrating to watch. I just hope writers stop this nonsensical trope. Finally, the spy has been out on the 7th, yet no apologies received from ML afterall his suspicions. I just don't like letting things slide like that. Got a bit draggy for me until I reached ep. 12 when MC became an official couple. Chemistry of the leads was definitely there. They're actually cute together. Downside for me are the kisses. Like, they are poorly done. Skinships and intimacy are a bit lacking. Both for MC and SC. first time to watch FL in a drama and I really liked her personality. I also liked her role of being a badass FL. ML's character is not too ideal but, at least he had a character development midway towards the end. I liked it when he said he's willing to give the moon and the stars for the FL. Like, sky is the limit for him. Am really not a fan of the 2FL but I like her pairing with the 2ML. Overall, I did enjoy the show with some hilarious scenes. Specially, with both father-in-laws. And yeah, the wedding proposal was funny too. With that, I gave this an 8.0. I liked the finale.
I really thought this would be good. Now on ep. 16 and still no kiss is happening. No progress in romance either. Ok so it happened in the 17th. this is just way too slowburn for a short 24 eps mini drama. After completing the show. Story is a cliche of a typical historical drama. I was more after of how will it work for the MC in the real world. Anyways, good execution of kisses which basically happened only around 3 eps. I'll give this a 7.5 because of the handsome ML specially when he was already a doctor. Overall, if you got nothing lined up yet to watch, this shall pass.
I wonder what's the actor's name who portrayed Li Cheng Lin/Emperor? He seems to be cute. I find this too slow burn for a short mini drama. Like they almost became a couple at ep. 20. But not a kiss was actually showned. It was more of just a tease to make things happen that night for the MC. Another tease moment on the 26th ep. And the supposedly kiss that was shot too far on the finale. Story isn't much interesting. romance had the potential but due to lack of kisses I can only give this a 6.5. But there's a potential of BL romance here between the emperor and 2nd ML. 😁
i checked this out because of Cheng Yu Feng. After watching him in Yes, Her Majesty, he literally did caught my attention. Definitely deserve a ML role for a full length drama. I'm so not into short mini dramas. However, upon checking out a few of them. Most of the ML are not only good looking, but good kisser as well. And yeah, quite a surprise that these mini dramas have more good kisses and skinships. Overall, I find this drama underrated. Obviously, it is a low budget drama, but it has a good story plot. And yes, it has good steamy kisses. So, it's a 9 for me.
Surprisingly, short dramas are becoming more interesting in terms of story plot. Not too mention, kisses and skinships are way better sometimes compared to some full length dramas. and this is one of them. I really did like the twist on what exactly happened on ep. 11. One of the best Emperor I encountered so far, next to My Uncanny Destiny. ML is so ideal. Best about him is his loyalty. One of the rare traits of an emperor to refuse on having a concubine. Plus the fact that this emperor is so romantic. Like, he literally did everything for the woman he loves. Having said that, this drama definitely is underrated and deserves a better rating. It's a solid 8.5 for me. Should have given higher with those steamy kisses. However, i just didn't like the FL's character. I just find her too selfish from beginning till the end. Still, it's a decent watch for a short drama.
I'm watching that one too and have no idea why the rating is that high; probably actor fans. Skinship isn't important…
Exactly! I just hope it will not be an open ended finale. Like, Mysterious Love never got a Season 2. And yeah, I'm really curious what's behind Xu XongYu's BioTech company.
