Am really not into legal dramas. Just saw some clips of this drama on social media and decided to check this out. It's my first time to watch both leads in a drama. Great chemistry! That's the main reason why I watched this drama. Since I am not a fan of legal dramas, I must admit that I skipped all the scenes pertaining to the legal aspect of it and watched only scenes of these two lovebirds. I really enjoyed the chemistry of these two. What I really liked about it is how they are honest with their feelings to each other. And how they can balance their careers and their relationship at the same time, The only legal part I watched was Chen Ran's own battle of her marriage. I really liked that part how she defended herself in court. How confident and calm she was. By the way, her half brother is quite hot. I was hoping he would have some love interest too in this drama. hehehe Anyways, highest I can give for this drama is an 8. Like I said, the story plot in the legal aspect is not so interesting for me. The kisses too aren't potrayed well for me, but I enjoyed their cuddles and sweet moments together of the leads. And the ending is just a so so....not really satisfired by it.
My thoughts on this drama. Well, I'm a fan of sci-fi, so this is quite enjoyable for me. They were able to squeeze in the story for only 12 episodes is good too. I am happy to see Sky LI portray a lead role, as I always see him doing a supporting role in other dramas. Am looking forward to see him doing more lead roles, hopefully in a full length drama. First time to watch FL in a drama. Her beauty is quite average. Would've preferred Sky to be paired to much prettier C actress. Story plot is quite interesting, though, so many loop holes. I thought this was another VR game drama, but it's actually not. Not even a time travel drama either. It's more of getting into a storybook with a VR game touch on it. Romance is quite fast paced and well presented. Overall, a good short drama not to miss.
Okay, after seeing some clips online, I got curious with this drama and decided to check it out. Not really a fan of school drama and mini series. But, I got curious on the romance aspect of this drama and wanna see how things will develop. I thought this would be some predictable school drama plot wherein the FL who's being bullied in the beginning will redeem herself in the end by getting in a relationship with the hottest guy in class. Surprisingly, it didn't turned out that way. This is the very first drama that I've watched where the ML ended up with the SFL and not the FL herself. Based on the story itself, character wise, the SFL is really more deserving to get the guy. However, for some reason, it doesn't give a feel good vibe. It may sound cliche , but, am still looking forward for the ML to end up with the FL. I was hoping for some character development on the romance aspect, though it was achieved in terms of friendship among the girls. This drama doesn't have skinship at all which is another downside. Overall, highest I can give is 6.
Got curious on this drama based on the comments. Story isn't much interesting. Quite predictable. Not much skinship. Very slow burn. Got me hooked on the first few episodes as I would like to see the transition on how the leads will end up together. Midway got draggy for me already. There's non-stop series of misfortunes for the ML. The FL's character isn't that likeable either. I'm just not a fan of keeping a guy as a friend knowing that guy has feelings for you. It's like keeping a friend with benefits. I really feel sad for the SML, his character is really likeable compared to the ML. The secondary couples isn't much interesting either. Plus the money leech Talent Manager is just so hateable. Decided to drop this at ep. 36. the story isn't going further. Just peeked on the ending, and yes, it was really a good decision to drop this drama. Despite the happy ending, still, didn't felt the chemistry of the leads up to the last moment. Aside from the fact that the FL's looks is just average I guess, that you wouldn't feel a star but just a common person. Highest I can give for this drama is a 7 for the good start. I think that's generous enough so to speak.
So this is the 4th VR Cdrama that I was able to watch. Compared to the other 3, I think this is the only drama that didn't use virtual game graphics on the entire show that will not make you feel it all began on a VR game. Firrst on the cast. this is my second time to watch June Wu, first was Love Better than Immortality. Acting wise, he did better there than here. I feel like his acting here was kinda bland. Still needs to enhance comedy acting skills I guess. For the FL, she was just okay. First time to watch her in a drama. The winner actor for me here is SML Song Che. This is the second time I've watched him in a drama, first was with, Cry Me a River of Stars. I can definitely say, such a great actor, who can pull off comedy, serious drama and not to mention semi villain roles. This drama had been quite enjoyable due to Song Che's anger management issues. That was indeed, hilarious! Story plot isn't interesting for me as it become a cliche after watching same plot VR dramas. Didn't felt much the chemistry between the leads. I guess the lack in romantic aspect was the main key to it. Lack of sweet moments and skinship by the main couple. Another thing, I guess, this would have been much interesting if the story focused on the modern world, than creating the love story in the VR world. And it wasn't explained either who was mainly responsible for the VR game, though they just made it obvious that the boss or ML designed the game based on his reactions towards the FL from ep.1 and the finale in the modern setup. so many draggy parts for me that made me skip most scenes. Highest I can give for this drama is a 7. Not a fan of the ending either.
First and foremost, am really not a fan of this genre. am not in to Assasins type of story, the reason only for watching this is for the romance, which is a total disappointment for me. Had an interesting start, but went totally downhill for me as I see no progress in the romance aspect of the story. What's more disappointing is that there's not skinship at al. This is the second time I've watched FL in a drama. First was The Court Lady, in which I watched because of Xu Kai. I just noticed that everytime she's the FL in a drama there's not much skinship, that made me lose interest. Yes, she got that beautiful face, but her eyebags seem quite bothersome. I hope she does something about it.hehehe And yes. this drama has no skinship at all, so if you're into that kind of romance, don't bother watching this, such a waste of time. ML's character isn't interesting either. This is another drama that gave me a SML syndrome. I really prefer FL to end up with the SML. However, she was blindly in love with the ML, I just don't see the logic in it. Character wise I also prefer the SML. The ML hides lots of things though he may have the purest intentions, I still don't feel the chemistry between them. I feel this drama is overrated. Highest I can give is only a 6.
I really don't like Short mini series because it makes me feel crave for more in the story. But this, is quite a good one. Short but sweet. The writer was able to squeeze in the main elements of the story on a shorter note. Was able to watch Yang Ze in another lead role in the drama The Killer is also Romantic. He's quite good their too. Been able to watch FL in other dramas in a supporting role. First time to see her in a lead role. Good acting too. She deserves to get a lead role in a full length drama I believe. Overall, this is an enjoyable drama even if its a short mini series. Deserves a higher rating too.
Okay, so I decided to check out this drama not only because Jeremy Tsui is on it, but curious on how good the drama is based on the comments. Am still just on ep. 11 and enjoying it so far. Good story plot. Definitely not slow-burn, but still minimal skinship. Hoping there will be more as it progresses. hehehe As always, Jeremy's character is so likeable. You'll definitely be mesmerized by his charms. FL's character is just okay. Not really likeable for me. I feel that sometimes she's being way too arrogant and think highly of herself, specially when dealing with the Empress. She reminds me of the Korean acteress Jeon So Min. She really look a lot like her. First time to watch a definitely good looking Emperor. I am sensing a future Love triangle trope here. As I can feel his affection towards the FL at this early stage even he know the leads are already a couple. Read quite a few hate comments here about the Emperor. Lemme see if he really is that hateable. But, I can see a bit fair competition here as both of these men are good looking. though, I have to be biased for Jeremy, as I've liked him already from his other dramas.
So, at this point I've completed watching the drama. First half got me hooked, but went downhill for me halfway towards the end. The story focused on the power struggle issues of the Royal family. Basically, the romance aspect was quite left out till the end. the skinship I was hoping for never came till the end. My thoughts on the characters, for the FL, She might be noble for er deeds in serving the country but not an ideal character for me on a personal note. She always meddles with the affairs of other people that's why she gets into a series of troubles. For the ML, I liked Jeremy but not much of his character here. He simply fulfilled his goal for his late Father and served his country. Not really much ideal romantically speaking. For the Emperor, yes, his character may not be ideal so to speak, but, what I see in him is he is a victim of the power struggles of the family. His decisions may not be good simply because he really never got a good partner who'll stand beside him and love him enough to be guided with the right decisions for the country. And for the most despicable character in this drama, no other than Ban Ling Er. She's a 100% biatch. Am glad, the Emperor was able to make some self realizations towards the end before his passing. Am not really satisfied with the ending that made me gave this drama a rating of 6.5.
Acting wise I prefer Nam Joo Hyuk and PArk Seo Joon. Both of them can really pull off both comedy and drama. such versatile actors. Plus great chemistry with their leads too.
Probably the lack of character in Jung Hae In's role. I've always liked Noona romance, but this just didn't meet my expectations. One example is the drama She Would Never Know. I liked the chemistry of the leads there. They were able to pull off the chemistry for a Noona Romance.
So here's the drama that I've been contemplating for a long time to watch and decided to give it a go this time. I should've sticked to my guts, I guess. First time to watch both leads in a drama. The acting was really terrible for the FL. Like she keeps on acting cute on cam. Even when crying or kissing she always wear that smile on her face. She's always glammed up too even when at home, before bedtime, in the shower or just waking up. It's always full makeup on. I don't think I'd look forward in seeing her again in a drama. It's just that frustrating. The ML on the other hand was kinda cute. However, the acting needs also to be improved. The kisses weren't executed well. The story plot isn't much interesting either. Like, I forwarded halfway of the drama towards the end. They focused more on the business aspect and not much on the romantic side of it. Didn't see growth on the secondary couples either. And I strongly believe, Romcoms are really way much better if there are Love Rivals or triangles on it. That's why it felt dragged the entire time. Had a good start, but after they became a couple already around ep.4, which is too soon, it went downhill already for me. If only they extended the intern pretending scenario, that would have been more exciting to watch. I've always been a fan of Business Romcoms, but this is just nah. Overall, if you're into e-commerece or simply a vlogger, this might be your turf. Romantic wise, this is such an epic fail for me. Highest I can give is 6.5. that's already a bit generous for a happy ending story.
Am not really a fan of the main leads but decided to check this out as I see good comments about the drama and quite high rating as well. The story plot is quite predictable. It gave me a bit of What's Wrong with Secretary Kim drama vibes. First half of the drama was quite draggy for me. A bit slow burn but caught up once they became a couple already. ML's character isn't ideal I should say, even there had been a character development per se. FL's character is likeable here. I liked that she was able to show her fierce side and at the same time how forgiving and soft-hearted person she is. Great acting for all the actors here. They were able to convey the title of the drama to their audience. The ending was just okay for me. It didn't felt rushed and gives that feel good finale. Overall, this is one of the rarely enjoyable kdrama romcoms this year.
Am not really into melodramas, just decided to check this out because of the high ratings. I liked Jung Hae In since he started his supporting roles in Bride of the Century, Blood, Goblin and being the 2nd Lead in While you were Sleeping. However, I just feel like his acting in this drama was kinda bland. His character here is quite cute though. But, kinda felt lacking. Didn't felt much the chemistry with the FL. On the other hand, am not a fan of Han Ji Min. Seen lots of her dramas from Rooftop Prince, My Familar Wife, Light in your Eyes. As one of the veteran actresses in Korea, undoubtedly, acting is really her prowess. It such that she has no appeal to me I guess. This is very much a slow-burn drama, that I have to forward scenes most of the time. Lots of draggy parts for me. And the ending is not really that satisfying for me either. Highest I can give is 7.
I am not really a fan of time travel dramas. Just got curious how was this presented. So, from dynasty era, the leads and supporting ML get to travel to the modern times using that magical pocketwatch. I kinda enjoyed most where they are in the modern times. And decided to go back to fulfill the ML's duty as an emperor. they get to bring along the SFL to the dynasty era. Story plot isn't much interesting for me. Lots of draggy parts I should say. The ending was just okay. Kinda lacking though. Romance is slow-burn. Not too many skinships as the main couple didn't have much sweet moments together. It's my first time to watch the ML. He's kinda cute. I've watched the FL in other dramas in which she's usually in a supporting role. I was never a fan of hers even in this drama. It just felt like she's better off portraying a supporting role than a lead one. The character I like most in this drama is Tian Xiao Li. I admire that his multi talented. He's good in cooking, martial arts and smart too. I also liked his sweetness, that he'll do everything for the woman he loves, including marriage. I think his character is more ideal here than the ML himself. Overall, this is just a cute, fluffy drama I guess. No heavy complications. Just another drama to watch if you got nothing lined up yet. ;)
So after watching Unrequited Love, I decided to check this out. The plot isn't really surprising or interesting. Just got curious how the leads will end up together. So, basically, the teacher -student thing wasn't really such a big deal. Since they're technically both students studying in the same university just on a different level or degree. Yes, there's quite an age gap. but, who cares about age when it comes to love. These 4 girls who built their strong bond in their dormitory, all got a complicated love life. First on the leads. Am not really a fan of the FL's character. She's just an ordinary girl who basically got her first taste of falling in love in her Junior year in college. Same goes with the ML, who's typically the smart Science guy, never dated, fell in love for the first time to a girl 10yrs younger than him and has a complicated family life. After watching the 3 post special episodes for this drama, I didn't felt happy how things have ended. I guess, I feel like the SML deserves to be chosen after all the things he has done for FL specially when things went so down for her. The ML wasn't there for her most of the time. He's too worked up with his Science thingy and quite have a complicated family background which what makes him that kind of a person. Yes, there's some character development for the ML towards the end, still, I am not convinced that such person could change so easily. I really feel sad for Liu Qi, though he was given a future potential partner towards the end. For the supposting casts, wasn't really a fan of Bailin either. Lucky for her that guys fall for her even with that brat attidtude. For Song QiQi and Xiao Tang, I am not a fan of their complicated love life either. I've forwarded most of their scenes. Just got a bit confused towrds the end, was the guy Song QiQi working with at the convenience store, the same guy she ended up kinda dating with at the end? I mean the English major tudent guy? They kinda look the same. Anyways, overall, this is just an okay drama for me. Great acting by Liu Qi and Xue Tong, specially on the drama part. I stil prefer Put Your Head on my Shoulder than this. Highest I can give here is a 7.
