Acting wise I prefer Nam Joo Hyuk and PArk Seo Joon. Both of them can really pull off both comedy and drama. such versatile actors. Plus great chemistry with their leads too.
Probably the lack of character in Jung Hae In's role. I've always liked Noona romance, but this just didn't meet my expectations. One example is the drama She Would Never Know. I liked the chemistry of the leads there. They were able to pull off the chemistry for a Noona Romance.
So here's the drama that I've been contemplating for a long time to watch and decided to give it a go this time. I should've sticked to my guts, I guess. First time to watch both leads in a drama. The acting was really terrible for the FL. Like she keeps on acting cute on cam. Even when crying or kissing she always wear that smile on her face. She's always glammed up too even when at home, before bedtime, in the shower or just waking up. It's always full makeup on. I don't think I'd look forward in seeing her again in a drama. It's just that frustrating. The ML on the other hand was kinda cute. However, the acting needs also to be improved. The kisses weren't executed well. The story plot isn't much interesting either. Like, I forwarded halfway of the drama towards the end. They focused more on the business aspect and not much on the romantic side of it. Didn't see growth on the secondary couples either. And I strongly believe, Romcoms are really way much better if there are Love Rivals or triangles on it. That's why it felt dragged the entire time. Had a good start, but after they became a couple already around ep.4, which is too soon, it went downhill already for me. If only they extended the intern pretending scenario, that would have been more exciting to watch. I've always been a fan of Business Romcoms, but this is just nah. Overall, if you're into e-commerece or simply a vlogger, this might be your turf. Romantic wise, this is such an epic fail for me. Highest I can give is 6.5. that's already a bit generous for a happy ending story.
Am not really a fan of the main leads but decided to check this out as I see good comments about the drama and quite high rating as well. The story plot is quite predictable. It gave me a bit of What's Wrong with Secretary Kim drama vibes. First half of the drama was quite draggy for me. A bit slow burn but caught up once they became a couple already. ML's character isn't ideal I should say, even there had been a character development per se. FL's character is likeable here. I liked that she was able to show her fierce side and at the same time how forgiving and soft-hearted person she is. Great acting for all the actors here. They were able to convey the title of the drama to their audience. The ending was just okay for me. It didn't felt rushed and gives that feel good finale. Overall, this is one of the rarely enjoyable kdrama romcoms this year.
Am not really into melodramas, just decided to check this out because of the high ratings. I liked Jung Hae In since he started his supporting roles in Bride of the Century, Blood, Goblin and being the 2nd Lead in While you were Sleeping. However, I just feel like his acting in this drama was kinda bland. His character here is quite cute though. But, kinda felt lacking. Didn't felt much the chemistry with the FL. On the other hand, am not a fan of Han Ji Min. Seen lots of her dramas from Rooftop Prince, My Familar Wife, Light in your Eyes. As one of the veteran actresses in Korea, undoubtedly, acting is really her prowess. It such that she has no appeal to me I guess. This is very much a slow-burn drama, that I have to forward scenes most of the time. Lots of draggy parts for me. And the ending is not really that satisfying for me either. Highest I can give is 7.
I am not really a fan of time travel dramas. Just got curious how was this presented. So, from dynasty era, the leads and supporting ML get to travel to the modern times using that magical pocketwatch. I kinda enjoyed most where they are in the modern times. And decided to go back to fulfill the ML's duty as an emperor. they get to bring along the SFL to the dynasty era. Story plot isn't much interesting for me. Lots of draggy parts I should say. The ending was just okay. Kinda lacking though. Romance is slow-burn. Not too many skinships as the main couple didn't have much sweet moments together. It's my first time to watch the ML. He's kinda cute. I've watched the FL in other dramas in which she's usually in a supporting role. I was never a fan of hers even in this drama. It just felt like she's better off portraying a supporting role than a lead one. The character I like most in this drama is Tian Xiao Li. I admire that his multi talented. He's good in cooking, martial arts and smart too. I also liked his sweetness, that he'll do everything for the woman he loves, including marriage. I think his character is more ideal here than the ML himself. Overall, this is just a cute, fluffy drama I guess. No heavy complications. Just another drama to watch if you got nothing lined up yet. ;)
So after watching Unrequited Love, I decided to check this out. The plot isn't really surprising or interesting. Just got curious how the leads will end up together. So, basically, the teacher -student thing wasn't really such a big deal. Since they're technically both students studying in the same university just on a different level or degree. Yes, there's quite an age gap. but, who cares about age when it comes to love. These 4 girls who built their strong bond in their dormitory, all got a complicated love life. First on the leads. Am not really a fan of the FL's character. She's just an ordinary girl who basically got her first taste of falling in love in her Junior year in college. Same goes with the ML, who's typically the smart Science guy, never dated, fell in love for the first time to a girl 10yrs younger than him and has a complicated family life. After watching the 3 post special episodes for this drama, I didn't felt happy how things have ended. I guess, I feel like the SML deserves to be chosen after all the things he has done for FL specially when things went so down for her. The ML wasn't there for her most of the time. He's too worked up with his Science thingy and quite have a complicated family background which what makes him that kind of a person. Yes, there's some character development for the ML towards the end, still, I am not convinced that such person could change so easily. I really feel sad for Liu Qi, though he was given a future potential partner towards the end. For the supposting casts, wasn't really a fan of Bailin either. Lucky for her that guys fall for her even with that brat attidtude. For Song QiQi and Xiao Tang, I am not a fan of their complicated love life either. I've forwarded most of their scenes. Just got a bit confused towrds the end, was the guy Song QiQi working with at the convenience store, the same guy she ended up kinda dating with at the end? I mean the English major tudent guy? They kinda look the same. Anyways, overall, this is just an okay drama for me. Great acting by Liu Qi and Xue Tong, specially on the drama part. I stil prefer Put Your Head on my Shoulder than this. Highest I can give here is a 7.
I am really not into school dramas, but decided to check this out. I liked the concept of the story. How the love for each other developed. Yes, definitely a slow-burn , but enjoyed the process. I really like the character of the FL here. She was conceptualized perfectly. Smart, determined, not one of those popular kid in school, introvert type, speaks her mind when necessary. I can say, I am not really a fan of the ML here. He's not a risk taker when it comes to love. He always want a win-win situation for him. I also find his efforts too lacking, This drama could've had a great potential. It's just quite disappointing that after the long wait, the main leads became a couple for just around 2 episodes and had to go through such unnecessary breakup. Then just to have that happy ending decided to tie the knot on the last minute of the finale. I just didn't buy that type of ending. So, it's just 7 stars for me. Not really a fan either of the side couples.I'm just glad Zhang Ming Rui found the right partner for him in the finale. I feel sad for him that the girls that he likes from the start always go for Sheng.
So I decided to check this out even if I am not a fan of VR games. It almost has the same plot as Sassy Beauty, but, I think, this is more enjoyable and felt much the chemistry of the leads here. I liked how the game was presented here. Not much visual effects of the game, that you wil really feel it's like reality. First time to watch the leads and I should say, great acting! I even liked the second couple here. Though, there were just a few kisses, still, the chemistry was felt. I just felt sad for the FL's character as her life will just evovle in a game. She felt real love in the VR world, sadly it still ain't reality. I really enjoyed this drama unexpectedly. I guess the rating is actually justifiable because of the ending. Because the drama wasn't able to show how it will end for the FL in the real world. It's like she was kinda stuck in the fantasy world just to find happiness and love. Hope the writer gives this drama a season 2. Perhaps, a new chapter for the main leads in the real world.
Gave this a shot because it has fewer episodes. The drama started strong but became draggy for me midway towards the end. First time to watch the ML in a lead role. His quite okay. But didn't felt much the chemistry between him and the FL. I felt the chemistry more between the FL and the SML. I felt the character of the ML is quite lacking. I guess his role was too stiff and lack humor compared to the SML. I felt the affection more from the SML. FL is just okay. Not so interesting character either. The story plot is just light and didn't peak my interest as well. The kisses were well executed but didn't felt the spark. Overall, not bad drama to pass time if you got nothing on planned to watch yet.
I seldom watch short drama series, but this drama, I have to say was quite enjoyable. It's my first time to watch Yang Ze as a ML. He's someone to look forward to in future dramas. His charm kinda reminds me of Wang Yibo. Story plot isn't much interesting. It's like watching Mr. and Mrs. Smith film chinese version. hehehe FL is just okay. What is really enjoyable in this drama is the romance part. Sweetness overload towards the latter part of the drama. The kisses I should say are very hot and well executed. Yang Ze can really pull off that kissing scene compared to other veteran Chinese ML I might say, not really good at it. Overall, it's a short and sweet drama you get to enjoy.
The only reason I watched this drama is because of Zhang Zhe Han. After watching him for the first time in Everyone Wants To Meet You, I feel like wanting to see him again in another drama. Seeing the rating I really thought this would be a good drama. It had a good start. Interesting plot. But, midway towards the end became draggy for me already. First, the Drive you away and Drive you back to me trope was exhaustedly used in this drama, not to mention the Poison trope as well. I was never a fan of the FL from the beginning. I've watched her in the drama Lovers under the Full Moon, and her acting is just the same. Very bland, such a waste to be partnered to these good looking ML's. Second, the romance is definitely lacking. Like the chemistry was felt more between the FL and SML. Even the character of SML is more likeable than the ML himself. One main reason for this, he's always direct to the point on how he feels for the FL. He trusted fully the FL from the start. I felt the ML's character lack devotion for the FL. He always have angst and trust issues which for me is a red flag for a ML. And I think, there was more chemistry between Ning Jing and Tang Li. Family and the usual Royalty issues are more emphasized than the romance aspect itself. That's why the sweet moments of the main leads are very scarce too. There are very few moments that they are together that made me not enjoy this drama. Third, the kisses aren't executed well, that's why there was no spark at all. And Lastly, the ending just made the audience confused. As they try to pull of a happy ending, it just doesn't make sense to make the dead alive again. Highest I can give for this drama is a 7. I think this drama is overrated so to speak. General's Lady is way better than this I believe.
Had a good start but gets draggy as it progresses. Had to drop it at ep.12. It seems the story isn't going nowhere. I'm a big fan of Noona romances. One of my faves is My Fated Boy. But this just seem a drag. Like even the supposedly love triangle cliche is a bore.
I decided to check this drama out. First time to watch Zhang Zhe Han in a drama. He's quite good looking I should say. The story is just okay. not really a fan of melodramas. Too many draggy scenes for me, specially on the corporate and mom's issues of both ML and SML. This is a slowburn drama too. ML's character is quite likeable for me but not ideal. ML's mom is too annoying till the end. Not a fan of the FL. Didn't like much her character. Even the SML and SFL are not likeable characters for me either, I think the only likeable character for me here is the ML himself and his assistant. Didn't felt much the chemistry of the main leads. Probably, the story didn't focused much on the romance aspect and took most of the episodes on corporate and family issues. Did liked the beginning scenes in France, but when downhill when their issues arised. Highest I can give for this drama is 6.5. If you got nothing to watch this can pass your time. and yeah, 36 eps. is quite long too. This could have been done to around 20eps. only.
Okay, another rare drama that I gave a 9 star rating. What I like about this drama: First, of course, is Zheng Ye Cheng. Loved him from Lovers Under The Full Moon and Sleepless Princess. One of those Chinese ML irresistible charmer. He can really make me fall in love with a swordsmanship expert Commander than a dashing CEO. This feeling that you rather wrap around your arms with this commander flying literally from a cliff or a roof than having a romantic dinner in a completely rented out resto by a CEO. Second thing that I love in this drama is that it is Fast Burn. Like, you didn't have to wait halfway just for the leads to be officially together. Third, the swordsmanship are awesomely executed! Not too mention the kisses too. Great chemistry by the leads. Lastly, I liked that this drama have just 22 episodes. Unlike the usual historical dramas which ranges from 24 to 60 and above episodes. The story is just okay. no too annoying characters. I just didn't gave this a 10 because of the ending I guess. I still prefer it already ended at the wedding. they could have just added one episode for some happy moments perhaps of spending more time having kids and marriage of the supporting couples. BTW, this drama also has a pool of good looking men, so that's another bonus. hehehe Overall, another great romcoms Cdrama for this year.
Just finished watchig this drama. My thoughts....I quite enjoyed the first half. got draggy midway towards the end. Specially on the breakup parts. Had an interesting plot but quite predictable. About the cast, For the ML, the usual snob GM or CEO, middle aged man has never been in love. So, I have no expectations of how romantic he can be. I just felt that the skinship was quite too lacking. When a man falls in love for the first time there should be more skinship for a fresh relationship. The kisses are just meh, I didn't feel the spark most of it. FL's character is strong. I admire her strong will after two broken engagements. Full of effort, I should say. But didn't felt much the chemistry between the 2 leads. I felt the chemistry more with the Second couple, Qin Hebo and Shuang Shuang. I really like how they started off, that was too funny. Though the skinship is also lacking between these too. With Ning Meng, ML's sister. Her character was quite annoying, I must agree, but I am more annoyed with He Zhijun, He's a real total jerk for me till the end. I don't think his psychological trauma is that severe for him to call off his first engagement. Besides, he's a Psychologist himself and he should know how he could treat himself. The way he mistreated the FL in the beginning is a total foul and I don't remember him asking for a formal apology with the FL, he offered hush money instead. Another annoying character here is Ning Meng's bestie. such a biatch. hehehe And yeah, I also ship An An and Mu Xiao Yan! I must agree, BL vibe is strong here. lolz. Overall, this drama is just okay. quite long for a romcom. Highest I can give is 7.5.
Unexpectedly I gave this drama a 9 rating. I rarely give this kind of rating unless its really a good one for me. I guess the things I liked in this drama is that it is so on point. no beating around the bush. It is short but sweet. It gave me that Nevertheless drama vibe but on a lighter note. And I guess, it has that realistic feels. That long term relationships usually doesn't really end up together. Mostly, you get that real connection with somebody whom you've just met . And it was showned in this drama that really, opposites attract. Like two same persons would never intersect. Still, it would be up to you as a couple how will you compromise to work things out. The writer was able to show all these things in this short mini drama. This is a short but sweet drama you shouldn't miss.
First time to watch both leads in a drama. The acting was really terrible for the FL. Like she keeps on acting cute on cam. Even when crying or kissing she always wear that smile on her face.
