On Time to Fall in Love Jul 26, 2022
Title Time to Fall in Love Spoiler
Ok, another Cdrama cliche. After reading most of the comments here, I thought this drama would be that bad. Surprisingly, I enjoyed this drama somehow. The good points for me. First, I liked the chemistry of the leads, plus the fact that they are such an eyecandy. I think this is the 4th drama that I've watched Luo Zheng. Of course, he can always pull off that handsome domineering with OCD CEO role. First time to watch FL in a lead role and she did well here I should say. The romance really got me hooked to this drama. A bit slowburn but the kisses are definitely hot not to miss. The story itself is already a cliche so no need to elaborate on it. Almost same storyline with ML's drama Nothing But You, the twin sister trope. It's nice to see also Grandma who portrays same role in Once We Get Married. Downside of this drama for me, I guess the finale. Like why it has to take 4 long months if you're so in love with each other? Why ML has to ask forgiveness when the one who was clearly wrong was the FL for hiding the truth? Why can be the FL be manipulated by a sister who uses their mom for blackmailing when you know for the fact that she can't harm their own mom? There are 2 characters whom I think is the root cause of everything. One is the mom of the twin sisters who didn't gave a fair treatment to her daughters that caused enviousness to the antagonist. Second, is the FL herself. When I saw the childhood flashback of the sisters, I can see that the FL herself too was quite greedy of attention to their parents that led her sister to act that way and the fact that she always say she trusts Gu Xicheng but chose to hide the truth from him, still she has trust issues and selfish of her feelings on that part. The ending seems lacking for me too. I guess I was looking forward for them to grant Grandma's wish of having a grandson. Overall, if you're more into romance and doesn't mind all the cliches, this is good enough to watch. highest I can give is a 7.5

Okay, another CEO amnesia trope drama cliche. I must admit, story isn't much interesting but, this has been presented cute and sweet. Character of FL is likeable while ML, of course, is the typical domineering but sweet, romantic guy. This should have been squeezed in to around 24 eps. Too many draggy scenes specially towards the l;ast 10 eps. I should say, this is another SML syndrome drama for me. Literally, I prefer Taichu than Tong Hao. He's way handsome, hot and sweet for me. Plus, as he said he never stopped in a travel except for the FL. Had to skip parts about corporate issues and second couple which is not interesting for me. I really feel sad for Taichu. Definitely I'll be looking out for his main roles in other dramas. Romance is quite fast paced but the kisses aren't executed well. Another touch lips cam effect. Overall, still a nice and cute drama to watch. Highest I can give is a 7.5

Namjoon is 1000x hotter. He’s like a frail wimpy version and the resemblance is minimal. LolBut I’m having…
hahaha I definitely must agree with Namjoon's hotness level!!!!! :D

same thoughts about the drama.

So, I just completed this drama. My second time to watch Wallace Chung. First seen him at General and I. Of course, who wouldn't forget Tan Song Yun in Go Ahead. This drama got me hooked from ep. 1. It was literally fun for me on the first half of the drama. I enjoyed the humor a lot on Ml's trying to capture the heart of the FL. I must admit, I'm not a fan of slow-burn romance which is one downside of this drama. Plus minimal skinship. Half of the drama really got me hooked, but beyond, it was still interesting, however the series of misfortune events didn't gave that good vibe to this drama. A good story plot though. Good acting too by the entire cast specially the villains. I really liked the character development that transpired for Grandma Xu and Erniang. I also liked Dongqquing and General Fu couple.ML's character is likeable here. I liked his stiff but sweet side. Not too mention his loyalty too. FL's character is not so ideal for me. Though, she was able to promote women empowerment. I just can't stand the advocacy of Grandma Xu on welcoming more concubines for her sons. It's like she made her sons baby makers. The kids are cute too. Just wondered what happened to the kid Fanqquing, Li Quan's son? Like it was never mentioned till the end if it was acknowedged by his wife Danyang. The ending was just okayfor me. A bit felt rushed since this drama is quite long. could have shrinked to around 32 epidodes. And the mustache of the brothers towards the finale. I'm just not sure why is it necessary. Like they didn't look they aged because of that. Overall, This drama is still good and recommendable. Highest I can give is an 8.5

Does these drama have any sad parts? I want to start watching historical C-dramas, but only the ones that aren’t…
I'm just halfway watching this and so far enjoying it. This is way much enjoyable compared to other historical dramas. It should have been tagged as a romcom. :D Definitely not much heavy stuff so far. Try Checking it out.

Title Serenade of Peaceful Joy Spoiler
Tried to watch this drama hoping for a good romance historical drama. Decided to drop it at ep.21. Struggled a lot. Skipping most scenes not romantically related. The emperor, even though good looking is such a big disappointment. He was never loyal to a woman. the empress just continue to suffer with her unrequitted love for the emperor. Sadly, the emperor so far has already 2 children with 2 different concubines and not with the Empress. That made me gave up in watching this drama. I can't bear to watch anymore that the supposedly ML is like the antagonist in this drama romantically speaking. not my cup of tea...really!

I tried to watch this looking for a good romcom. All the cast looks like newbies. The ML kept me being reminded of Namjoon of BTS because of their resemblance. While the FL, reminds me of Ha Ji Won, Korean actress. This is a very light, cute, fluffy drama. Decided to put on hold at ep. 9. Probably will go back to it when nothing else good to watch. I guess, the pacing for me is too slow that makes me a bit bored.

Title A Dream of Splendor Spoiler
My thoughts on this drama, I guess this is just an okay average historical drama for me. Story is not so interesting . It depicts issues on social classes during the dynasty era. What made me hooked in the beginning is the chemistry of the leads. Great chemistry, but lacks a bit of skinship. The kisses weren't that much executed well. Yes, there were heart fluttering moments. But, I also find it too minimal. It peaked at ep. 16 but went downhill halfway. Didn't like the separation part of the leads which took around 10 eps. This should have been reduced to around 30 eps. The ending didn't gave much appeal to me either. Like, the wedding was given to the supporting couple and not the main leads...howcome?!!! One enjoyable character here is Chi Yan Nel and his subordinates. the characters of the leads were also lkeable. I liked the FL's character of being business minded. While I also like the ML's character of doing everything for the only woman he loves except for the hiatus parts of 10eps. hehehe Overall, this drama is quite enjoyable except for some draggy parts that needs the frwrd button. :D Highest I can give is an 8.5

On Are You Human? Jul 13, 2022
Title Are You Human? Spoiler
So, it literally took me 4 years to finally watch this drama. I am really not a fan of AI themed dramas, but this drama changed my point of view on that. Unexpectedly, I really enjoyed this drama to the point that I didn't pressed the fwrd button and watched every single moment of it. One reason also for my so delayed decision of watching this is that I am not a fan of Seo Kang Joon. However, after watching this drama, he was able to capture my attention. He really did great portraying dual roles. not a fan of the FL either. I just didn't felt how she portrayed the role. But, the rest of the cast really did an awesome job in portraying their roles. The story itself was absolutely top notch! I really liked that it was not predictable. the presentation of an AI that is close to human like is another thing to like about in this drama. There's also a balance of humor, action packed, romance, family and love relationships. I gave this drama a 9 rating as I feel this was too underrated. Didn't gave it a perfect 10 for the the reason that I was hoping for another twist in the ending. Like I was hoping the FL would end up falling for the human Sin and vice versa. Yeah, it was intended really as a fictional drama, but i always believe fantasies can turn into reality as well. So, it's just kinda hard to believe to start a family with an AI partner. Overall, still this drama is highly recommendable. And because of this, I'll be looking forward to watch Seo Kang Joon's drama from this day on. ;)
Just one thing I noticed here, most of the characters have anger management issues as they always have the tendencies to shout! :D

Title Love the Way You Are Spoiler
I am really a fan of noona romance, so I kinda enjoyed this drama. It's my first time to watch the ML in a drama. He kinda reminds me of the Korean actor Seo Kang Joon. 2nd time to watch Angel Baby in a drama. First time to watch her in a modern set up. I liked her character here. Smart independent woman. Same goes with the ML. Young, cute, sweet, smart, loyal and completely romantic partner. The story is a cliche for me after watching several Cdramas. Great chemistry between the leads. There are some draggy parts but tolerable. Dad Yi was kinda annoying in the beginning. I still remember his cool character in the drama Go Ahead. Supporting couples were okay too. I liked how it ended with Daddy Chen and partner. I also liked that the ex bf Li Ze Lin was discarded at an early part. hehehe Enjoyed the sweet moments of the leads. The only big downside for me is the the last 2 ep. Am just really not a fan of Long Distnace Relationships. The writer must have used it as a filler. I would prefer a wedding or pregnancy perhaps for the finale. Overall, still a cute drama to watch. Highest I can give is an 8.5

Was going to start this because I read it was sweet and lighthearted, but your comment made me stop. SO they dont…
I don't exactly remember what episode they were officially together since I've watched this 4 months ago already. But, based on my comment, the sweetness sets in on the last 4 episodes. Which means the kissing, hugging, cuddling and most times spent together were on the latter part. they could have been a couple earlier but no sweet moments yet transpired.
You might still wanna check it out, it's still a good watch if you're into light romcoms. But if you're also into sweetness overload in a drama, one of the best drama fitted for it is Once We Get Married.

Title Binary Love Spoiler
Had to drop this drama at ep. 8. As reading the synopsis, I am usually interested in romcoms that would start as youth/school set up then the romance will blossom until they reach adulthood/corporate setup, dramas like Go Ahead, Put Your Head On My shoulder and the like. It started just okay as I get to know the characters. But as I am reaching ep. 4 onwards, am really not seeing any progress in the story. The romance in the school setup is too drag, that in ep. 8 still there's no progress on the leads while the supporting couples are already on it. For a 24 ep drama, this is just too slowburn for me. I even thought DuanXi would be the 3rd wheel as he is more good looking than the rest of the male cast, but the innocent guy was hooked up by the flirt supporting Ye Ting, sadly that lost my interest in the drama. Not my cup of the tea I guess.

My thoughts on this drama. The first 8 eps. were definitely a struggle. I was too tempted to drop it as it was really totally boredom. Decided to stick on it since am already used to Kdramas that usually peaks at ep.9 and consistent as it is. This is my first time to watch Kim Young Dae in a lead role. I first seen him in Extraordinary You as supporting role. He definitely nailed his role here. Like he was able to make me believe that he is a one hot superstar. hehehe Good acting I should say. As for LeeSung Kyung. I've always liked her in Weightlifting drama and just an okay role in About Time. I just didn't felt much her character here. The chemistry was there between the leads but I felt the acting was lacking. Like she ain't ready still for mature roles. For the story itself, I was kinda looking for more twists in the story, like Yoon Woo perhaps could have turned out be alive or at least a bit more story on the haters that could make it more interesting. Even the romance on the supporting couples was way too easy. Like I was even hoping Ho Young would end up with Kang Shi Deok. The ending was just okay. But I prefer how the story ended with Yuna and Jae Hyun than the leads themselves. Plus too slow burn for me. There are more bickering parts than the sweet moments of the leads themselves. Though I have to say, Young Dae's kiss execution were awesome! Highest I can give for this drama is 7.5

Title General and I Spoiler
Alright, it took me a bit of forever to finish this drama. :D This was I think the longest drama I've seen so far. Had to make lots of skips for too many draggy scenes. This should have been done for only around 32 episodes. Am so not a fan of war story plot dramas. Obviously, am so here for the love story of the main leads. Interesting story plot, but, like I said, too many draggy scenes. The playing hard to get part took around 13 episodes, the official get together part took around 2 episodes, then got separated again for around 20 episodes, got back together for around 5, had to be separated again for the war for around 2 ep, then the finale. The separation took most parts of the drama than having the leads lovey dovey together. Still, Great Chemistry by the leads. First time to watch them both in a drama. Kisses were awesome. Had a few laughs on some parts. Great acting too not only by the leads but the supporting casts as well. Fight scenes were perfectly executed. Highly budgeted drama I should say. The Highest I can give is an 8. Great ending too. Can't give much higher as I just find it too long and had to skip most political issues on the war. Inspite of the happy ending, it didn't give me a feel good vibe towards the end, I guess I felt sad with the fate of the secondary couple. Overall, it's a good drama not to miss.

On Love Unexpected Jun 19, 2022
Title Love Unexpected Spoiler
Another time travel story plot. I guess the fast time stamps transition made it confusing to its viewers. Story is quite interesting but not presented well. I was able to follow the transitions so far as the year was being presented. It such that there are many loopholes for me in the story that felt hanging and unanswered. Like when FanFan travelled back to 2012, there was another FanFan remained in 2024 that had amnesia? Also, In the law of nature, the time traveller shouldn't get in contact with his/her character on that year that might alter the person's existence. Why also Gao Ru Wen's health was affected by the time travel and FanFan did not? And that explosion that Ruo Chen supposedly died in 2024 became a Gas explosion in the end and he survived?
So my main issues here are the inconsistency of events and not mainly the time stamps. Gave this drama a 7 for the leads chemistry. I must say, the kiss sccenes were portrayed so well. First time to watch the leads in a drama. Not also satisfied with the unrequitted love of the supporting couple. The brother sister couple didn't gave much relevance also to the main leads. Plus FanFan parents didn't aged at all after 12 years. So, if you're mainly just for romance, this shall pass, but the story itself will just leave you with so many questions. :D

It was still a happy ending. I'm just looking for more I guess like a wedding perhaps.

This is a short but sweet drama. Cha Eun Woo is really such a baby. I really liked the idea that the writer augmented fantasy into reality. This would have been perfect if it was made for a regular drama of around an hour per episode. Overall, this is still enjoyable, plus the main fact that Cha Eun Woo is in it. :D

So as everyone is saying here, this is the Chinese adaptation of the Kdrama I can Hear Your Voice. I didn't watch that drama that's why I got curious to watch the story plot here. Story plot is interesting but quite predictable. I just liked the idea that the ML can read minds. This is the 3rd time I've watched ML in a drama. First was in Our Glamorous Time, then in Jun Jiu Ling. His common trait among his roles is that he's good in martial arts. Not a fan of him, but his role is more likeable in Our Glamorous Time. First time to watch FL in a drama. She's just okay for me. This is another slow-burn drama. The kisses are quite executed well. However, I just didn't felt much the chemistry of the leads. I just felt that the FL would have much chemistry if she ended up with the SML. I really liked the romance blossoming for the FL and SML, unfortunately, the story wasn't designed for them to end up together. Overall, this is just an okay average drama.

Title The King's Affection Spoiler
After months of contemplating, I decided to give this drama a shot. I usually avoid Korean Historical dramas as they usually don't have a happy ending. One main reason for pursuing this is because of Rowoon. I really liked him after watching She Would Never Know and Extraordinary You.
My thoughts on this drama, story plot is interesting but quite predictable. The historical cliche is there. Greed for power, Royal family issues, politics and the usual sad life of Royalties. I must say Park Eun Bin was able to pull off that gender bender role. Chemistry was there by the leads, but, Rowoon still definitely needs more polish in terms of acting. A bit drag midway, but peaked around Episode 14-15, where the romance kicked in. Yes, quite slowburn too, Beyond that, a series of tragedies transpired. This drama won't give you that feel good vibe, despite the happy ending. Lots of characters here ended with an unrequitted love, Another not feel good vibe, which includes Prince/King Hyun. Aside from Rowoon, another character that caught my attention was Kim Ga On. Will look forward to see Choi Byung Chan in a lead role in futuree dramas. Didn't quite notice him much in Business Proposal as FL's brother. But here, He's quite hot. You would really fall in love with an Assasin. :D Overall, highest I can give is an 8. It did gave me a few laughs in some parts. One downside of this drama are the evening shots. Like its quite hard sometimes to view the fight scenes shot in the night as it tends to be too dark. Still, they tried a good ending compared to other Joseon era dramas I've seen.
