Same thoughts....a different genre though, but his kisses are way better in Falling into Your Smile than here.
I don't think you're watching a good romance drama if a girl is uncomfortable with a kiss. it only means she's not portraying her role well. Romance dramas always intends to make their viewers fall in love, so kisses should be more realistic for people to watch it. there's no such thing as being comfortable with each other. In the movie industry everything is just being portrayed, so if the couple doesn't look comfortable with each other when portraying a role and kiss it only means they're not portraying their roles well.
Why do you have to wear that shades Xu kai?!!! You just made this planet more hotter! :) Still not a fan of the…
I just don't see it that way. Wu Shuang perceives to be special to Yunqi simply because she was the only friend he had during childhood. That's the thing with dramas, people tend to entertain the thought the leads are already in love even if they're not simply because they portray the lead role and they should have that chemistry. already. I think you got it wrong for Fengling. Yunqi is not only suspicious of her brother but he is suspicious of Fengling's character herself. You should watch the drama more closely. Even am not so into it I still know what's going on between the characters. I think you should consider watching more romance dramas so you'll know what real romance is all about. You may start with the drama The Sword and the Brocade, cultivating each ones feelings is very well presented there. And the definition of how a guy to be sweet is very much presented there too.
Same thoughts....a different genre though, but his kisses are way better in Falling into Your Smile than here.
I think you should rewatch Falling into your Smile and see how real kisses should be done. Checkout the kiss scenes when Xu Kai and Cheng Xiao are in the bus and theatre together. Definitely that's not just your typical lock lips as you call it. Adult couples who are in love can do this casually. Now, if you're just into sweet kiss as you call it, i think you should watch youth oriented dramas and you'll get the sweet kiss that you want there.
Why do you have to wear that shades Xu kai?!!! You just made this planet more hotter! :) Still not a fan of the…
Oh, I don't compare guys in the modern era to republican era. Am just stating facts about reality. Besides, I've been watching lots of Historical Cdramas in which should be more conservative than the Republican era, surprisingly, guys are more intimate and expressive during those times and need not marry the girl outright. Yunqi's character depicts a guy who has never fallen in love and was focused on studying abroad. So learning from the western culture, what he knows is that dating is necessary before marriage. So, I don't think he knows how to be sweet at all. His treatment with Fengling as expectedly would be different as he sees her someone suspicious and not really as a friend. Another thing, Yunqi wasn't suppose to go back to China at all as he hates the system of the Sect if it not for his Father's telegram asking him to go home. So definitely Wu Shuang was never the reason why he went home. Therefore, it is still hard to understand to have that romantic feeling in the beginning for all Yunqi and Wu Shuang have are plainly childhood playmates memories.
The thing is ML never liked her initially just thought of her as a friend and rejected her in marriage also so…
My theory though is that the writer of this drama was forced to incorporate romance in the story since majority of the viewers would be Xu Kai's fans, however, romance is really not the writer's turf obviously. Even the poster is misleading since romance is not the main theme of the story. Anyways, I love Xu Kai, but am gonna put this drama on hold . I'll shift to Zhang Linghe first and watch Love Between My Fairy and Devil, romance is way better there than here.
The thing is ML never liked her initially just thought of her as a friend and rejected her in marriage also so…
Probably, but I just didn't felt the connection. Wu Shiang was described as a childhood playmate/friend based on the flashback. It was never described that she was a childhood crush, so it's really hard for me to understand about Yunqi having romantic feelings that soon. I would understand more of brotherly care, since they didn't communicate and seen each other at all after so many years.
Why do you have to wear that shades Xu kai?!!! You just made this planet more hotter! :) Still not a fan of the…
Yeah, that's what I don't like in Cdramas. Romance always have to do with childhood friends in which is not so relatable since not all has childhood friends that you would fall in love with. I do have childhood friends but I never fell in love with them so to speak. hehehe I guess the signals that you mentioned depends on who interprets it. I did see all those but I wouldn't interpret it as a romantic gesture. I've known men who does all the sweet things but they're just technically being nice. and it doesn't mean they have feelings automatically with the person. Sometimes, writers do miss out that in reality it doesn't happen that way. About disbanding the sect, Wu shuang is part of the reason but not mainly because of her. I believe it's more of what happened to Yunqi's parents that he wants to disband it. And for the kiss, am not up for it coz I know Xu Kai can do much better like what he did in Falling Into Your Smile...that kiss in the bus and the theatre is the real deal for me. ;)
The thing is ML never liked her initially just thought of her as a friend and rejected her in marriage also so…
I was able to watch already up to the most recent episode. Yes, it was explained but I can feel his feelings hasn't deleoped yet when he rejected the marriage. Like he mentioned, he prefers the modern way of dating first before marriage. But as the story requires, they don't have the ftime for it. since romance is not the main focus of this drama. Like it took 20+eps for him to realize his feelings. 😁 This just seems not my cup of tea.. Still prefers wuxia, xianxia romance dramas. Just holding on for Xu Kai per se.
Sorry don't see any chemistry between her and Luo jiutian. My only response is eew, the guy who actually think…
Oh okay. Well, as I said my main reason for watching this drama is Xu Kai himself. Ju tian's character gave life to the draggy moments that helped me hang on to this drama. Yes, it was a touching moment on Jiu Tian's passing and the abrupt passing of Yunqi's dad as well. On the romance aspect, I respect your view on that. I just didn't felt that spark the way it was presented. I see it as Yunqi values his one and only childhood friend as he mentioned he survived his sad moments of childhood because of her. I guess, I was looking for that romantic gesture in which am used to in his other dramas. Since, this is not mainly a romance drama, I understand why is it lacking. One main factor for me as well is that I don't like the FL. I don't know why but I feel annnoyed everytime I look at her, in which I don't normally do in Xu Kai's other dramas. Anyways, each of us has different reasons for watching this drama. Xu Kai is my main reason for holding to it. Just seeing him again in a drama is worth my time. 😍
Only main reason for watching this drama is because of Xu Kai. Currently on ep. 12, and it's quite a struggle…
Why do you have to wear that shades Xu kai?!!! You just made this planet more hotter! :) Still not a fan of the FL and definitely not a fan of that kiss. But, when Yunqi said: "Wo Ai Ni", that's the usual Xu Kai ML I know. For the romance aspect of this drama, am just not really feeling the emotion to it. Like it started for around 20 eps that he doesn't have the feelings for the FL, then the next thing the kiss happened and wants to marry her. Yes, the usual childhood friend trope is there again. but the gesture I guess is quite off. Been watching Love Like the Galaxy too and I felt the chemistry more there from the beginning of the drama rather here. Anyways, 14 more eps. of Xu Kai's vest style cuteness. :)
The thing is ML never liked her initially just thought of her as a friend and rejected her in marriage also so…
Yeah, Xu Kai's looks here is almost the same as his looks and style in Falling Into Your Smile, that's why he's so mesmerizing. Yes, halfway through, finally Yunxi's dad appeared. :D
The thing is ML never liked her initially just thought of her as a friend and rejected her in marriage also so…
Yeah, I didn't miss that part of Jiu Tian trying to rape her. since there are so many reactions on that part which only shows how effective his acting is. Am so not a fan of Slowburn romance, so thanks for the heads up! :D Am just so here for Xu Kai himself. Watching his face in every scene is enough for me. Story wise, I still feel it so draggy. Like, am on ep. 16 now and still it is focused on finding Yunxi's dad and Yunxi accepting to be the Heaven Official Head or simply to be the Penta Sect Leader. Now I missed Jiu Tian's character, though he has to pay for his misdeeds, there's no more interesting character here aside from Yunxi, of course. Not also a fan of the FL here. Acting wise, it's very bland for me. Feng Ling has more of a FL potential. However, she's just a supporting role here. In terms of looks, I like her more either than the FL.
Sorry don't see any chemistry between her and Luo jiutian. My only response is eew, the guy who actually think…
Yeah, sadly, Jiu Tian's character is more of an antagonist, but I should say the acting is superb that despite that bad character he was able to make me laugh. Same goes with the chemistry I mentioned, because of his great acting he was able to bring out more character to the FL as I see no great bond yet with her and Yunxi. I've watched Xu Kai in Ancient Love Poetry, most fave drama of his also Court Lady, Dance of the Sky Empire and Falling Into your Smile. He really had great chemistry with his leads from Ep.1. I just didn't see the connection yet between him and the FL here now that I'm in ep. 15. As I said, I guess simply because romance is not the focus of this drama and coincidentally, the romance was introduced on an early part between FL and Jiu Tian rather than with Yunxi. Didn't watch Arsenal Military Academy for the main reason that I might feel hurt because of the dating rumors that I've read between Xu Kai and Bai Lu during those times. hehehehe And Yes, I am really not a fan of Republican Dramas. Like I said again, Generals from the Dynasty era makes my heart more flutter than Generals in the Republican times. And yes, I prefer Wuxia, swordsmanship, martial art skills, Generals riding horses than gun shoots and Generals driven by their chauffer. This may not be my cup of tea, but definitely sticking on it despite the struggle because of Xu Kai. :)
Only main reason for watching this drama is because of Xu Kai. Currently on ep. 12, and it's quite a struggle to watch this. One thing I guess for me the FL doesn't have that appeal to be an FL, seems like just a supporting role. I felt the chemistry more between her and Luo Jiu Tian, than Yunqi. hehehe Another thing, romance is not tagged in the genre, so most definitely it is not one of the focus of the drama, in which, I am not used to when it comes to Xu Kai's drama. So, there's only 2 reasons why I keep hanging on to this, One, of course, watching Xu Kai's face completes my day and 2nd, Luo Jiu Tian is such a comic relief! He really did make me laugh in this drama. The story plot is not that interesting for me. I guess, not really a fan of the republican era. I don't get to see fancy clothes and hairstyles of historical dramas. I also prefer sword fights than gun shootings. Still holding on, just to see Xu Kai again in a drama after a long time.
So technically Part 1 has already ended, but continuously airing for Part 2. They should should've just plainly put it in 56 eps for the entire drama. Anyways, for the first part, I got quite bored for like around 20 episodes and story just caught up on the latter part. Yes, I'm not a fan of Shaoshang's mother either. hehehe Her parenting style is not at all appropriate for me. I'm not a fan of Zhao Lu Si either (excuse me for her fans...) But, I do like her role here as Shao Shang. I liked her carefree character and expresses her thoughts proactively. It's my first time to watch Leo Wu in a drama for a lead role. Definitely he got that charms as a General, which makes me like Generals more than Emperors and Prince. One downside for me here is that it is so Slow Burn. Lacking too much of skinship. Still, this drama has a good story plot, though kinda draggy as I mentioned. Enjoyed around last 5 eps. The coolest Emperor I've watched so far. ShaoShang's brothers are an eyecandy too. Not to mention Yao who's also cute and sweet. QiQi is the coolest bff also. Loved the chemistry between her and Song brother. Yes, the chemistry between the leads is definitely there. just need to boost up some skinship, hopefully to get it on Part 2. Overall, this drama is enjoyable, hopefully have a good ending on part 2.
oh my god I'm on ep 15 and I agree 100% on the 3rd ML syndrome. When FL lead thinks he's 1ML with the mask on and…
True...and I look forward more on Xu Kai Xin's drama because of this. Try to check out In Love with Your Dimples and My Lonely Planet. He's so cute too on those dramas.
Am really not fond of mini series, even comic character genre type of dramas. Just got curious with the high ratings for this drama. It has very same feels as the Kdrama ExtraOrdinary You and W. The only difference is this drama has short episodes as it was written. And the kisses here are way too hot compared to those I mentioned. First time to watch the entire cast. The leads were able to pull off that chemistry. Another thing I liked here, it has limited number of casts which is much easier to follow. I like fantasy dramas but the comic world isn't my cup of tea. I would still prefer characters in the real world that won't dissipate. Overall, still this drama can make your heart flutter with those hot kisses.
