This is my review and my personal opinion that shouldn't affect others, neither I have to agree with what others…
Thanks for this review. Once I saw the Romance chemistry and Kissing meter rating, you got me in. Am a big fan of skinships, so even the plot is just meh, I can manage as long as the chemistry and kissing meter are high. 😉👌
My thoughts for this drama. First, I think this is truly overrated. Main reason for watching this is to see Ryusei again. Glad to see him play a not so serious role this time. Honestly, am so not a fan of the story plot of this drama. It started interesting kinda predictable though. But most parts for me are draggy that I have to skip lots of it. Both of the men leads are not ideal in character I have to say. First, the President, who figures out his feelings too late for the FL. His nature of work is not ideal either to have a relationship since he travels a lot and am so not a fan of LDR. For the ML, didn't like his character either. Like he can't express himself so well. He always has doubts in everything he does. I just hated the part when FL was so down with her IG controversy and he litereally drove her away instead of comforting her and be there for her. So, FL had to lean on SML instead. Another thing I didn't like about ML's character is he tends to assume on what FL wants. Didn't he ever consider that FL might want to change her career path and doesn't want to continue being an influencer? Like what he has gone thru might have been different with the FL. It doesn't mean that FL wants to go with him means she's running away from the situation. Like, I would prefer someone who would support me whatever my decision will be and not contradict them. Like when he decided to go back to that resto and even missed out their date, FL never complained. ML's character is just too self-centered for me. Not really interested with the supporting couples so I have to skip most of their parts. And the ending for me is not what I am hoping for. The secondary couple had the wedding and the main couple did not. Apparently, it was showned that they were married and had a child already. I mean, the most important details should have been for the main leads and not the secondary ones. Too much lack of skinships. And too slow paced for me. Overall, just a 6.5 for me.
First time to watch both leads in a drama. Both of them are really good looking. Storywise, it isn't much interesting. The drama focused more on the business aspect and not much of the romance. This would have been more interesting if the romance was much emphasized having both good looking leads. I find the skinships quite lacking. The time travel part of the older ML just made the story more of a drag. Overall, just a 7 for me. But the ML is really cute and quite hot.
Second time to watch FL in a drama. Same acting, same clumsy innocent role. As expected, drama will be totally wholesome and conservative once she's in it. First time to watch ML in a drama. But this feels a SML syndrome for me. Mamiya kinda resembles Dylan Wang at certain angles and when he smiles. Will definitely watch the spin off. Story plot is okay. quite entertaining. I definitely agree Nanao is gorgeous. But the ending is not satisfying for me. I still prefer the wedding should have happened. For that, it's a 7.5 for me.
snaggletooth is considered an attractive feature in many asian societies... atleast thats what I've heard...
ohhh, thanks for that info. Well, so far, I just noticed I commonly see them among Chinese and Japanese Artists but never with Koreans. Korean artists usually have nice straight teeth.
I would say this is a cute, fluffy romance drama. It has all the sweet foods you can crave for but not sweet romance. This is too much slow burn for me. Definitely lacking on skinships and kisses. The main couple ended up being together quite too late. Has an awkward feeling for SML and SFL. This would have been great if there were more sweet moments by the leads. Just a 7.5 for me.
Well, I thought this drama was kinda interestng. Not a cliche. A single person who would pretend as married to find true love is somewhat different for me. It started strong, like for around 2 episodes then went downhill towards mid way. I just can't stand the big sister's cheating to her husband. Like, the kind hearted husband doesn't deserve it at all. She should have initiated the divorce at an earlier part of their marriage if she thinks she has fallen out of love. She's just too selfish. I forwarded most of that part. And I didn't like that she chose the pink haired guy. she doesn't deserve to be happy in my own opinion. For the main leads, first time to watch them both in a drama. Not my ideal type of leads. I liked that the story started quite fast paced, but went to a drag when the lie continued towards the near end of the drama. Too minimal skinships and sweet moments of the main leads. Generously just a 7 for me. should have been lower if only for at least a happy ending for the main couple.
I am so looking forward to this after being able to watch Season 1 last 2019. I just thought that it woud have the same feels but it felt quite different this time. Glad to see same casts. Except for Xiaobu who became human this time and of course, Shiyi and Candy. What made it different, I guess, for one, this was quite too long for me. It could have been squeezed in to 24 eps. only. The hormone extracting thing was dragged too long at the beginning. The swinging back to earth and cape town was quite overly used this time. Plus the flashbacks which took most of the time seems not necessary. I mean most of the viewers have watched the first season so why bother. Yes, the loveydovey were still there but the kisses are just too wholesome for me. Like they presented it as touching lips again or the fishlips kiss. Another thingy for married Chinese ML that they can't do passionate kissing in a drama. Though, I had to forward lots of scenes which seems to be too cheesy for me. I enjoyed how it ended. I mean seeing them having these cute kids were so adorable. So, it's an 8.5 for me. But, honestly, I prefer Season 1. just an additional thought, after watching so many dramas of Wan Peng and Wang You Jun, haven't they thought of fixing their teeth. I mean, they look good per se, but being in the entertainment industry, it's quite a norm that artists fix their teeth to look good on pictorials and closeups. With the advance dental technology I believe there are options aside from using braces for teeth straightening. just a thought.
I've placed this on hold for awhile and decided to finish it today. This is a total waste of time. Slow paced, slow burn and almost no skinship at all. The ending was just a meh. The romance wasn't given much emphasis on this drama. I generously gave this drama a 6.5
I have mix thoughts about this. The story plot itself is okay. No major antagonist, so it's quite enjoyable. Another good thing about this romcom is that the characters didn't tend to overact. I like that it is just short and just in the right pace. FL's character is okay. Not the ideal type for me. ML's character here is not really okay for me. I just see him as a red flag. Like his personality may have been an introvert, that's okay. But, the main issue here is I see him as a selfish guy. Like the FL always have to adjust to his personality. I've seen Ando portray a villain role in another drama, so this has quite a different vibe to see him doing a romcom. And that curls has never been straightened. lolz. I'd prefer the SML here which is Keigo. I feel sad for his character that he was rejected. But he deserves to be more loved than the ML. For the second couple, I feel sad for Azumi's character. But I also liked Takano's character here. I like him being straightforward and loyal to Azumi. I just hoped they also had that happy ending. Overall, it's a 7.5 for me.
Dropped this at ep.2. Can't stand the FL's character and definitely infidelity. Like, why marry someone someone whom you can't devote your whole self with, I mean never marry someone just for status symbol. If you don't love the person don't get married and just sleep with all the men that you crave for. Sorry I just hate biatch women. They don't deserve true love if they can't be loyal themselves. I feel sad for the ML.
This is definitely a feel good sweet drama. No antagonist. Not your typical arranged marriage or even cohabitating. I like that it is short and simple. Only downside for me is the skinship. I felt that it's too lacking. But, I do really like the ending though. First time to watch both leads. Both are good looking and definitely the chemistry was there. All the characters are likeable, so this is one of the rare jdramas that is wholesome and enjoyable. it's an 8.5 for me. Surely deserves a higher rating.
Thoughts for this drama...Male casts are good looking from ML to supporting. FL is just okay. Didn't like much her character of being too reserved or naive. Definitely didn't like the bestfriend or should I say the FL's frenemies. I can never be friends to someone who tried to steal and seduce the man I like. That's a total biatch. I just noticed that most jdramas depicts character who are plainly sex friends. Like is that a norm in Japan? just curious. The SML is just okay too. Didn't like much his character but I like his straightfiorwardness more than the ML himself. The ML, meanwhile portrays a gentleman guy and knows the meaning of loyalty literally. The younger brother of SML is just an added character that didn't mainly contribute to the story plot itself. Overall, this is just an okay drama when you've got nothing to watch. Just a 7 for me. The skinship of the main leads are lacking. Like I would prefer for them to have more intimate scenes that the secondary couple. Ending is just okay too. felt a bit rushed plus I am so not a fan of Long Distance relationships, so that's a minus for me.
Well, first, I did finish the drama though I just tried to grasp what I can understand on the last 2 episodes since it has not been subbed yet. This is kinda expected for a typical jdrama. I sort of get it on what happened on the first 4 eps, but got a bit confused on the last 2 since it has not been subbed yet. Based on what I saw the FL waivered and diverted her feelings for the SML. And that diversion means there's an urge for her to sleep with the other guy for 2 nights based on what I saw. The antagonist, Yuka, is definitely a Psycho. She needs psychiatric help really. I think she almost killed the FL when she let her fall on the stairs by putting a drug on the candy that she gave to FL. I liked how it ended though, since the leads ended up together. And I think ML got serious with their relationship this time. I guess, what's difficult for me to grasp is the fact that "sleeping with someone" as presented here is just something you can ordinarily do when you feel like it regardless whether you're dating or not. In which, you are plainly a whore if you do that in real life. This is a short, lots of skinships, intimate jdrama. Not really a fan of the story, but the kisses were just really hot. it's an 8 for me, being a great fan of skinships, intimacy and hot kisses. Not to mention the cute ML too.
Had a good start but went a total drag for me as it went on up to the last episode. This drama was over rated I believe. Definitely a slow burn and slow paced. too. It lacked everything, chemistry of the leads, skinships and even kisses were too limited. It was a total struggle for me. Had to forward scenes most of the time, specially on the exaggerated issue of the mom with the FL. I just didn't enjoy the story at all. Like the entire drama focused on the issue of the FL having a relationship with her student which happened ages ago and just didn't stop as years went by. Like almost all of the characters were affected and weren't able to move on because of that issue. Didn't like also that the leads are mostly separated than being together. Sadly, I liked the character of Shotaro whom i think would be much better for the FL to end up with. The ML student is just an eyecandy though that I guess, the FL wasn't able to let go. Lucky to have 2 goodlooking men trying to win her heart. Not even satisfied with the ending. I was quite looking forward too for some sweet moments for the leads that never happened actually. The drama Love and Fortune is way better than this. It might have some explicit content but the story and romance is way a lot better there. And that drama was under rated. Overall, it's just a 6.5 for me. Didn't enjoyed this drama at all. Was able to hold on just by looking on the faces of the ML and SML, they are just so irresistible to look at. 😍
Another book character coming to life trope just like Lost Romance. But, the latter has a way better story plot than this one. This started strong but got draggy midway. Felt the story was kinda flat. No antagonist, romantically not challenging. I was hoping for the SML to be a third wheel or sort of Love Triangle. I think this would be better if the FL's admiration for the SML turned to be in a romantic gesture, that would be more interesting for me. The second couple felt kinda boring too. I find the SML kinda equally good looking too as the ML. Gave this an 8 for the cute ending. I'm always a fan of dramas with epilogue, like it won't end in marriage but having kids as well. Still, this is too slowburn for me. A bit lacking of skinships too. Just a light fluffy drama. If you're so into non antagonist drama, this is a good watch for you.
Just basically checked the drama because of Zhang Xin Cheng. I've always liked him since Go Ahead. My 3rd time to see him in a drama, the other one is in The Day of Becoming You. I am so not into mystery dramas. Since this was adapted from a Japanese film, I've seen some aspects of Japanese mystery here after watching some jdramas too. Story plot is quite a cliche for me as it tackles same Family Business greed issues. Acting by the cast were just okay. For the romance aspect, I'm a big fan of skinships, so the passionate kisses and intimacy are plus points for me. Another good point of this drama is that it has only 12 eps and roughly runs around 30 mins only each episode. Too many scenes on the corporate battles of each families plus the mystery itself. So the romance for me felt lacking and wasn't given much emphasis. First time to watch FL in a drama. She was able to pull off the passionate scenes but the chemistry for me is quite bland. So for that, highest I can give is a 7.5
One of the rare dramas I never expected to be so exquisitely presented. I thought this will be just a typical jdrama with explicit content tackling a bit of a controversial illicit relationship. But that proved me wrong after watching the entire drama. It gave me a glimpse and slices of realities in life. This may just be a fictional story, but what I saw are probable things that really might be happening in the society we have today. The relationship of an adult with a minor is also a no no for me. A minor per se is still definitely a kid literally. Though, some may have a mature mindest but being a kid will always be there, specially the immaturity. But, what really got me hooked on this drama is the tackling issues of being single in a later age, having a long term relationship that's going nowhere, being cheated on and how to move on, struggles of applying for a job when you're in the early stage of middle age, realizing that it is never too late to fulfill your dreams no matter what, that marriage will never be an answer for having a stability in life...and the list goes on in watching this drama. It really made me realize so many things in life. It might be uncomfortable for some to watch such explicit content in this drama which is understandable. But, i guess, the director just wanted to convey to the audience the realities of life. Love doesn't really define age. Yes, you can fall in love with someone half your age. It will just be really a problem if that partner was a minor. I don't really encourage that idea. But falling in love perhaps in your 40's or so with someone in their early 20's for me is not an issue as long as things really go along well with both of you, there's no issue on that in my perception. The FL's character here is actually not the ideal type. But, I felt what she has to go through in life. She may have fallen love at first sight with the ML, still by learning that he's a minor should have already been a no no from the start. I felt the desperation for the FL in that perspective. Sometimes you need that spark to trigger romantically that she's not feeling anymore with her current long term bf, and instead, found it with the ML minor which unfortunately is the case. Good acting by the cast by the way. The ML was able to portray how he should have reacted as a typical teenager who's too excited to explore things in having a relationship with somebody mature. I like how it was presented that he was able to find a sense of security with the FL, since he doesn't socialize much with others, like, he found a sense of belongingness with the FL. I also like how they both maturely handled the gossips around them, like do they care what others are saying. Yet, still it's a serious issue and yes, FL can be criminally charge out of it. But, of course, this is a drama, so they didn't blew the issue out of proportion and just remained low key about it. Overall, I really liked how things wrapped up in the end. Like there was a closure for every character in the story. Might be sort of open ended, but it was a happy ending for me. Like, I have assumed they really ended up together. I also liked the fact that they both have achieved their goals in life. Truly inspiring. That's when you'll really know you're into a healthy relationship when both of you inspire each other and achieve your goals in life. It just gave me a good vibe. And for that i gave this drama a 9. Truly deserve a higher rating. I guess, you need to have a wider, deeper understanding and perspective in life for you to appreciate this drama.
I am not usually into Psychological thriller genre. I watched this just because of the romance aspect. So, it has been quite a struggle for me to watch this. The romance is not the main focus o fthe story, but more of the crime aspect. Story plot though is interesting. It took most of the time to unfold who's behind the crime. And yeah, I just don't like the antagonist, the mother-in-law took almost all the moments in this drama up to the end. Like her face is quite irritating to watch. I wish to see the faces of the leads all the time. They so look good together. First time to watch them both in a drama. Chemistry was definitiely there. Jojima is also an eyecandy. Hope to see him in a lead role too. ML's character here is just okay. Not the romantic type but, he looks hot in a modern outfit. FL, on the otherhand is a beauty as well. Like I can't blame that 3 of the men in this drama were into her. The sweet delicacies really looks sumptuous to taste. Overall, if you're into crime and mystery, this would be for you. Gave it an 8. Ending was okay, but most parts are a drag for me, except for the romance parts. So, I have to forward scenes most of the time. I think this is one of the long jdramas I've watched. Normally, it's just around 30mins per eps, but this lasts for an hour or so.
