Just been browsing for some romance drama and encountered this. Quite hesitant at first, as I've never been a fan of Mike He from his younger days in The Devil Beside You. but, the story plot itself got me hooked to this drama from ep. 1.
Currently just on ep. 4. First, I liked that it's fast paced. Second, I like the maturity of the topic. Like, it's a melodrama but not heavy yet so far. I liked how the realities of married life is being showcased. Will update post once I progress further in the show.
So, at this point I have completed the show. Surprisingly, I loved it. I find this too underrated. Probably, it didn't gave much vibe to young audiences. Story plot is too ordinary that tackles issues on marriage and simply having a relationship which makes it a good plot for me. No major complications, only lack of communication among the couples. Their issue would have been resolved at an earlier part if the main leads were able to communicate the way they did in the end. ML's character is not the ideal type. He's very calculative, probably him being a math person in his work. He always wanted things to work his way as planned. In which, most things in life are better yet unplanned. Like, even having a baby for him needs all to be calculated. It feels like a task and not simply making it out of love. The FL, on the other hand is not too ideal either. She have always wanted a long lasting marriage yet she gave up easily and filed an immediate divorce without thinking twice or thrice and trying to resolve and talk things with her husband. Marriage is all about compromise and choosing to stay to make things work out. There's always no easy way to everything. But, usually things work out if both of you agree to understand, respect and fully trust each other including your life.
I like how this drama ended even if it was resolved on the end itself. The only least character for me to like is Ke Fang. Like, girl, you should have given up from the start. Obviously, since College the guy is not into you.. Even tried to manipulate guy's married life just to initiate her selfish intentions.
A very touching moment on FL's dad passing. Another hateable character was SML's dad. SML is such a tease towards FL. Overall, gave this drama an 8.5. Truly deserve a higher rating for me.
I've putting this on hold on ep. 8. Am just not feeling the chemistry between the leads. been skipping a lot. Too draggy for me. I'm just curious if Sara will live amidst the premonition Mikoto saw. One thing that made this drama down is the lack of skinships and sweet moments by the leads. It is really impossible for them to be able to have a normal couple life if they live with their siblings, like there's no privacy at all. They can't even be lovey dovey in front of them. This is just so frustrating for a romance drama. and that I gave this a 3.0
Thought the story was interesting, but when I saw the FL, lost my interest in the drama already. This was the 3rd drama that I saw her. same acting. so reserved like minimal skinships and kissing. ML supposedly the boss isn't an interesting character either. SML looks more of the ML than the boss. dropped this at ep. 1. Can't stand how pathetic the FL was. Like, she has already been dumped for another woman, yet, she slept again with her ex.
I rarely watch melo jdramas. First time to see the leads in a drama. Nao is a natural beauty. Fujigaya is quite good looking himself. Am just not a fan of those curls which is so common in Japanese ML. Story plot for me is quite bland. Not so interesting. I felt pity for the FL for she deserves to be loved and taken care of by someone who's fully devoted to her. ML's character is really not ideal TBH. Being stuck in the past, losing his voice. mentally and emotionally not being able to move on badly needs psychological therapy. The writer obviously tried to make a happy ending, but it didn't felt good. Like a lot of things are lacking. There's no actual confession from the ML that he likes or he loves FL. Kisses and skinships are so limited, you won't feel the passion for love at all. Because of that, it's just a 6.5 for me. I think that's being generous enough.
Currently just on ep. 23. First 3 eps was quite a drag but caught on around ep.4-5 then went downhill again around ep. 15. This should be tagged as slowburn. Like it took around 6 eps. for the FL to meet ML within the palace and that have to be their Wedding night that technically didn't push thru because of FL's original hate plan for the King, unknowingly he's the one she loves most. Just another example of making a story plot long with those unnecessary scenes. this would have been okay to around 32 eps. only. 53 is just too long. The romance is just taking too long either. Been skipping a lot. Will try to go on further if there will be development on the romance aspect.
Now midway, on ep. 31, went uphill again at ep. 25 onwards. Story is getting interesting. Romance has a bit progress, still no kissing and skinships. I wonder if this is a totally no kissing drama. sigh.
So, I decided to put a halt on ep. 34. Placed it on hold and not sure if I plan to pick it up again. The story focused on the war, although the main leads are already together, you can feel their love for each other but not really the romance. Like, it is so rare for a historical drama to have zero skinships and kissing. It's a big disappointment for me.
I've read some of the spoilers too that this won't have a happy ending, so that itself, is already not my cup of tea. Have a great potential, if only the romance was given emphasis. And yeah, a bit unrealistic to have a FL who's so physically strong. Like she belonged from Wonder Woman's tribe of the Amazons.
So, i was able to complete these almost 10 hours drama because of Nakagawa Taishi. That face is just so irresistible. 😍 For the story plot, it's not that interesting for me since am not into violin. But, I like the music that they played. It's my second tme to watch FL in a drama. Same acting, like she's somewhat psychologically not stable. didn't like her character at all. Yes, ML is so cute, but his character is not so ideal either. Well, didn't expect much from him since he's technically a college student in this drama who's about to finish college and finds a job. At least, he's quite responsible since he works part time at a resto and as a physiotherapist. The friendship of the 3 main leads was quite enjoyable. Lots of draggy parts though. Still, I find the romance lacking. As exoected with the FL, Kissing and skinships are almost to none. same with her other drama. Gave this a 7.0
This is such a wasted potential. It started great. I didn't like the ML at first, preferred SML. I find him more sincere. FL isn't the ideal type also. At first, i though she's okay, since she has good cooking skills and a smart career woman. But, everything went downhill for me from ep. 13 towards the end. Like I hated how FL became too unprofessional towards her work. Understandably, you got a family emergency but everything shouldn't be left hanging. Like for God sakes you're in a middle of client meeting, at least pull up your mind presence. then, gave it all up including your relationship?!! What da heck?!!! I just find FL overly acting with her situation. With that, she doesn't deserve the ML at all. Like the guy did all his best for her to compensate on the shortcomings he did to her in the beginning. Can't take watching the scenes. i just forwarded scenes from ep. 13 towards the end. It's just so hateable. The secondary couples are way better than the leads. Specially, Jin Xuan and Diamond. Given said that, it's only a 6.0 for me.
This was adopted from a novel that was released before dots. When you look at it, it's actually dots that did…
Apparently, who aired it earlier grabs the original adaptation, so to speak. The Kdrama was way better for me. 40eps. were just too long with so many unnecessary scenes.
For some reason, I still rated this drama same as season 1 which is a 9. At first, I didn't quite like that same story has been repeated. But, I like how everything got unfolded. I liked how Daeun was revealed as such a good person including Do Hyun who also fell in love with her. ML's character is just so loveable. I like how he protected and loved Daeun, not to mention how loyal he was. It just feels really sad to have a glimpse on the realities of an Idol is facing. Like they are treated as dolls yet, they are human and deserve to at least have a normal life somehow. It such that their profession is in the center of public interest. Didn't gave this a perfect 10 for the following reasons, yes It would have been great if this was a full length drama. Still, skinships and kisses are lacking, and yeah, been waiting for the reason behind the doppleganger but was never explained. Ending was simplebut quite satisfying. Another thing, I must agree, that curls on Daeun is such an epic fail. A bun should have made her look more of her age. Anyways, overall, still an enjoyable and sweet drama. Shin Jun Seop is such a cutiepie. Hope to see him more as ML in a full drama.
Another rare short mini series that i get to enjoy. First time to watch the leads for this drama. Shin Jun Seop is cute. Will look forward to more of his drama. Hope it will be full length series next time. Nice story plot. Though it wasn't explained why there's doppleganger, will check out season 2 hopefully it was explained there. Though, the kisses and skinships are a bit lacking, since this is a short mini series, I can let it pass. A solid 9 for me. Made my heart flutter. Deserves a higher rating.
To be fair, all female characters were homewreckersRika dated her married bossSaitomi went after Kanji when he…
Got your point there too. The way I see Mikami's personality. He's really a flirt guy. And he's just fond of making women fall for him but too afraid to commit seriously in a relationship, too afraid to be tied down. He was quite challenged with Satomi that he wanted her to fall for him probably a bit challenged too with Kanji liking her also. Then when he was able to get her, the serious commitment sinked in, finds a getaway thru Naoko, in which he has been flirting with in class that he couldn't get also. He was so challenged but at some point gave up after learning she was engaged. I was quite happy already when he already planned to marry Satomi and realizes he can change and commit himself seriously in a relationship. Sadly, Satomi got tired of waiting for him to change. So, went back and focused on chasing Naoko again and this time got what he wanted. I think he learned his lesson from Satomi that he became serious now with Naoko. Like if he wouldn't try to commit himself seriously in a relationship he would lose every girl he likes. So, I think he fairly loved Satomi as well. I saw his efforts on trying to win her back and knowing he doesn't woe a girl that long.
I have been contemplating for so long to watch this. Based on the synopsis, it clearly has almost the same story as DOTS Kdrama. Aside from the high ratings, the only reason i checked this out is beacause of Bai Jing Ting after seeing him as a martial arts expert in The Rise of the Phoenixes, I so totally want to see him in a lead role. After completing the drama, I am definitely disappointed. This was so overrated for me. It is definitely a clear adapatation of DOTS. From ML and SML sunglasses, to tactical trainings, high profile syndicate scenes, earthquake rescue, the falling of truck in which in DOTS, it's the FL's vehicle that fell from the cliff, the one hand cliffhanging scene saving of a patient while it was the FL who was saved in DOTS as well, Even the virus that the FL acquired was the same as DOTS where she needs to be quarantined. Everything was the same except for the portrayal like FL's bestfriend here is a tv personality, in DOTS she's a soldier. ML and SML are police special forces while in DOTS, they are military special forces. Even the stuff toy and theme park date was copied. They should have just stated here that it was the Chinese adapatation of DOTS Kdrama. The only thing they weren't able to incorporate in this adaptation is the Red Velvet performance and the showcasing of abs of the entire troop. Only ML and SML showed their abs here. I'm just not a fan of adaptations. I always go for the original. For that it's only a 7.5 for me. Plus the skinships and kisses are so lacking. And ending is just so so...the secondary couple had the wedding and the leads did not.

I think both Mikami and Naoko have horrible family background that made them who they are in this drama that's why they were meant to be together in the end. I always read between the lines so I understand too what have Naoko been through. But, in a woman's point of view I just don't like making your horrible family background be an excuse to steal another woman's boyfriend. Like, there are billions of fish in the sea, you can find your own fish without hurting anyone. I just hope Naoko thought of putting her place in Satomi's shoes as well. Like what do you think would she feel if her man was stolen by another woman just because she has a horrible family background. Satomi has her own family issues as well but never used that an excuse to steal Kanji. It just turned out to be a rebound partner for both of them. That's why I find it hard to forgive Naoko's character here in this drama.

Not that I'm being too soft on Mikami, I don't like playboys, womanizer and specially rapists either. I just have a soft heart for persons who are trying to change themselves. Like, there's always room for character development. In this drama, it was quite presented that Mikami's trying to change. He knows how a jerk he was and he's trying his best to change it. But, sadly, Naoko ruined it. I guess she was his karma afterall. And yeah, he wasn't even punished for what he has done. But, how? Since Satomi didn't even budge to file a complaint. That's what love can do, even if you were hurt, you would still choose to forgive.
Female lead too young so no surprise skinship is littleTry Mukashi no Otoko, I hear it has lots of skinshipI dropped…
I definitely agree, they're good actors and I like that they don't have acting reservations unlike C married actors, they don't do passionate kissing for the main reason that they're married. Oh yeah, I really liked Love is Science but yeah, the BL part got more attention. Kdrama are trying to adapt also with BL genre these days. Not a fan of it myself. I'm more of noona romances. I think I've seen In Time With You, will check out the other dramas you recommend. Try checking out Love and Fortune, one of the good jdrama I've watched so far. I don't know if it will be your cup of tea for you might be disturbed with the explicit content and a minor as the ML. But, I really loved how realistic life issues was presented in the story.

Well, for me, as long as a person is in a relationship regardless if that guy is a womanizer, Naoko obviously tried to get Mikami's attention specially those times that Mikami already gave up on flirting with her and tries to save his relationship with Satomi, that for me is a form of snatching already. As for Rika, Kanji is not in a relationship with Satomi back then. What she's doin is fighting her way to get into kanji's heart since Satomi is kanji's first love which is defenseless battle for her. I don't know but Naoko is the least character for me to like in this drama. She's like a lowkey biatch for me. Probably, what I really hated is that Mikami is akready trying his best to change for Satomi but Naoko ruined it. That's what I felt, but of course, after the rape scene the relationship might not be repairable as it seems.
