Title Sound of the Desert Spoiler
I've been watching old dramas lately, like 2015 and earlier dramas. Found this in one of the lists given. Had a great start, but find it draggy towards midway. I almost dropped it at ep. 20, but decided to hang on till ep. 22, where the real deal for me started. Yes, it was a slow burn romance. If there's one thing I enjoyed here, it was the Love triangle trope. I'm a fan of love triangles, so that was quite enjoyable for me. I really felt sad for the SML here. Like he's okay. A bit weak in health with so many body complications, but I'm sure he can still be a good husband material. The chemistry was definitely there by the leads. A few kisses and intimacy on the later part of the drama. Story plot is just the typical power struggle in the royalty. Yes, I liked the FL being a badass. Overall, it's a 7.5 for me. The separation of the leads was quite a bit long on the latter part in which I didn't like.

Title Falling into You Spoiler
It took time for me to watch ths drama, as I'm not really into sports and youth drama. Glad I took the chance and gave this a shot. First, let me talk about the Pros. What I liked in this drama, it doesn't contain unnecessary drama typical for a sports drama, like the ML might have injured himself, need to recover or worst end up quitting being an athlete. There are no major antagonists, another plus points for me. And yes, the best of it, no unnecessary break ups or so. Plus, I really liked that the FL fights for the relationship, instead of giving it up.
It's my second time to watch both of the leads. I've seen ML first in Forever Love and FL in Why Women Love. I think I prefer their roles here compared to the mentioned dramas. Another strong point of this drama are the skinships. A bit late though, but I really love the portrayal of kisses and intimacy. Like, I was quite surprised it was portrayed by a supposedly 21 yr old college student. That really made me hooked to this drama. chemisry of both leads was definitely there.
Okay for the cons, downside for me, yeah a bit slowburn. Like the skinships did actually happened around ep. 20 up. The story plot isn't much interesting and I find it draggy midway. Overall, it was a feel good drama, A few laughs. I wasn't inspired much on the athletic side but I was more inspired how strong the relationship was. Like, I admire how loyal the ML towards FL. And yes, one thing I like about younger men, they're really more romantic, spontaneous and agressive in a positive sense.
Gave this drama an 8.5
On Too Late to Say I Love You Jan 27, 2023
I got curious on this drama after seeing this title on the steamy kisses list. I must say, I have never really been a fan of Republican era drama. I have watched one or 2. I guess, this would have been just my third. Yeah, it has almost same plot as Fall In Love 2021 Cdrama. I've watched Wallace Chung in some historical dramas. I think this was his youngest portrayal that I've seen him. As always, he nails the kisses and intimacy in a drama. I didn't like much his character here. He's quite too obsessed on love but gave it up for the sake of greed for power. i know he claims his reason to save the people, but that doesn't seem so. I just didn't like the fact that he didn't stand for his woman up to the end. Like, when he realised it, it was already too late. Fl's character is just okay. I liked that she's strong willed. Not a spoiled brat coming from a well off family. And yes, i admire the FL's loyalty to her love. Sadly, she has to suffer a lot in the story.

Another thing I didn't like here, there's not much character development among the antagonists Cheng jin Zhi and Jian zhang. Like, their characters are just too annoying until the end. Meanwhle, Xin Zhi's character is quite predictable, like, i knew the bestfriend would fall in love with the same woman his bestfriend loves. But, of course, he would never win her heart because he's just a supporting role. hehehe

I'm definitely not a fan of the ending. The separation between the MC is quite too long. I didn't like also about the miscarriage. The MC should have a child of their own. Everything just seem off about this drama. The only good about this are the kisses and intimacy. the forced kisses aren't good to watch either. So, it's just 7.0 for me.

I should have dropped this from ep.18 but decided to hold on more till ep. 22 and can't stand the breakup getting longer. Thanks for some spoilers in the comments section that helped me decide to drop the drama. ML's character is just so pathetic. Everything was a cliche and so predictable. I guess one thing that made me stick to this drama a bit more is because of the SML. He's more of the lead guy character than the ML himself. Overall, it's only a 6.5 for me

Really appreciate this spoiler. Currently on ep. 22, after the breakup on ep.18, it seems am waisting my time on this. Everything's too cliche and predictable. After seeing that they'll get back on ep. 35 I think it's worth dropping already.

Just happen to see this drama in GEM TV channel and decided to watch it online. It's been awhile since I've seen a 2 decade old drama. Kinda felt unusual not to see a smart phone being used in a drama. No internet even. Story plot is just okay for me. Very light. The romance is definitely a slow burn which is the downside of this drama. But, the leads look cute together. The character I enjoyed here the most is the ML's neighbor who keep on calling him Shou-Chan. Overall, not really my cup of tea, it's just 7.5 for me.

I dont' remember the exact episodes the couple become officially together. As far as I remember around episode 20+ episode. There is a separation not necessarily breakup but it is not due to misunderstanding but it is necessary to do so. There's a bit love triangle but not emphasized and cannot be considered such.
Honestly I'm really not a fan of the ML either, but his acting is good in this drama and yeah, it's really Jeremy Tsui that made me hooked to this drama. 😍
On My Uncanny Destiny Jan 14, 2023
I was absolutely entertained. First time to watch the entire cast. Great acting and chemistry by the leads and secondary couple. Supporting casts nailed their roles too. The kisses were perfectly executed in this drama. Specially on eps.8 and 9, I really loved that stairway kisses scene by the MC. There's definitely a treat of showcasing men's abs here! such an eyecandy! 😍 Yu Xuan Chen is another actor to look forward to. This drama kinda reminded me of the drama The King's Affection. Overall, this is highly recommendable. Gave this a 9.0. Surely deserves a higher rating.

Yay new Wang You Shuo fans. Been a fan of his for a while. Him being a cinnamon roll as a Demon King got me good…
Count me in. First time to watch him in the Blooms at Ruyi Pavillion. Got mesmerized by his charms after seeing him there. Plan to watch this after seeing him there, but quite contemplating after reading the comments about the romance is not that good in this drama.

I am still pondering the two endings but i do want to say Zhang Bin Bin knocked it out of the park. Also many…
I plan to watch this drama because of Wang You shuo. first seen him in The Blooms at Ruyi Pavillion. He's really a charmer and deserves a ML role. Still contemplating on watching this after reading some comments on how bad the romance in this drama.

Title Hi Venus Spoiler
Yes the plot is simple and boring but the conversations that they have and the meals that they keep eating makes…
Yeah, i almost mistook this as a Food drama instead of Medical drama, since most parts of the drama, the couple is dining instead of treating some patients in the hospital. 😁

Title Hi Venus Spoiler
It was quite refreshing to be able to watch again a business romcoms drama or should I say a medical romcoms drama. I think the last business romcoms that I watched was Once We Get Married. And yeah, for the medical romocoms it was My Little Happiness.
My thoughts on this drama. At first, it felt a clichΓͺ. Kinda started weak, but caught up around ep.5 onwards. It's my first time to watch Joseph Zeng in a drama. He nailed his role being a too kind President/CEO. That broke the monotony of overbearing CEO's that we usually see. Meanwhile, I've watched Liang Jie in several dramas both for historical and contemporary. She's really quite good in building chemistry with her partner in every drama. Her character here is just okay for me. Definitely likeable. I'm not a fan of the supporting couple, I must admit, i skipped most of their scenes.
This drama is enjoyable to watch. I can say it's a feel good drama. No major antagonist. Parents of the couple are very supportive. Downside for me, it is slowburn. Most of Liang Jie's drama are filled with skinships and kisses. However, in this drama the real deal for kisses just happened in the finale. Another thing that's lacking for me here is the love triangle. It was not really emphasized. I was hoping to see how the ML acts being jealous if only there was a love triangle involved.
The story plot isn't much interesting. Well, who cares as long as the romance is there. hehehe
Overall, this is a cute drama. Gave this an 8.
On The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion Jan 8, 2023
I was quite hesitant to watch this at first after seeing the MC being paired up again after The Legend of Yunxi. That drama didn't gave much chemistry for this couple. Plus the ending in that drama really sucks. However, I'm glad I gave this a shot afterall. I guess, for one, I can't resist Zhang Zhe Han's charm. But, if there's one thing that really got me hooked in this drama, that will definitely be Wu Bai Qi or Wang You Shuo. He's a complete charmer. I'll definitely look forward more of his dramas.
FL's acting is still the same. I'm still not a fan of hers. but compared to the other drama's that she starred to, this I think is a bit of improvement for her. I just noticed that most of the male actors casted in this drama are such an eye candy. Even the right hand of both Dukes are quite an eye candy as well.
Anyways, story plot of this drama is quite good. Still, I find this too long. Would have been shorten to around 30 eps. Fight scenes were well executed. The big downside for me of this drama is very much lack of skinships and kisses. Too conservatively done. Not sure if its Zhang Zhe Han, but I noticed most of his dramas lacks kisses and skinships. For that gave this drama an 8. This would have been perfect if only an actual kiss was executed. Overall, still an enjoyable drama. Fu guan is such an adorable kid. And yeah, the ending here is way better than Legend of Yun Xi.

Title Blinded Kiss Spoiler
This is nothing compared to Fishbowl Wives on Netflix... That is ⚠️ 18+ adult content and way more skinship…
Ohhh, is that a Japanese series? I was able to watch one. the title is in Japanese, so am not sure if it's the same thing. The title itself describes the story of that drama.

Yeah, i think it's the same thing. I've already seen it.

Title Palace of Devotion Spoiler
This got me hooked from ep.1 because of the fast paced romance. However, since it was that fast, currently am just on ep.11 and the romance is quite declining already. I'm kinda disappointed with ML's character, for I thought he would be a loyal character to FL romantically speaking. At this point, he slept with 2 noble consorts already and bound to marry a new one. Yes, probably it is customary during the Song Dynasty for the emperor to get lots of concubines so to speak. but, I've watched other historical dramas and Emperors do have a choice if they want to get concubines or not. Like, I've seen Emperors in a drama who marry only one consort and refuse to get concubines which shows their loyalty to their fated love. ML's character is quite disappointing at that point. I also don't like the fact that he wants a son to every concubine he has. I like Vic Zhou but his character here is just a big red flag! I still have 50 eps to go. I'm not sure if this is worth continuing. i only watch historical dramas for the romance and not merely for political views or even royal issues.
At this point I was able to complete the drama. I can't believe I did try to finish this even it should be worth dropping after the ML has died. Everything went downhill from then on. Story plot isn't much interesting. Specially the romance. I hate the fact that it feels like the ML loved the SML more than the FL herself after leaving the edict to her than the FL. I also don't like the fact that the SML who's supposedly a loyal friend and sister to FL also fell in love with the ML, that being said is already a form of being a traitor. The aggresion of having a son just to have an heir by the ML is just inhumane for me. Like, the purpose of these women in his life is just to give him a son. I feel sad for the FL towards the end. Like, she was just used by the ML and was never really loved afterall.
I'm so not a fan of sad endings. Plus the death of the ML is quite too early that gave this drama quite a meaningless ending. For that I gave this a 6.5 . I just find this overrated.

Found this drama on one of the All time fave drama list here in MDL. Decided to check this out. Not really a fan of the main leads. Saw FL in the drama Dine with Love and she just doesn't give me that FL look and vibe. First time to watch ML in a drama. The fantasy element got me hooked on this drama. Some scenes gave me that Goblin vibe. Specially the duel between Bai Qi and Yang jian. Almost halfway the drama, not really feeling yet the chemistry between the leads. But, when Jeremy Tsui sets in...Oh my! He's just so irresistably charming. 😍 This drama already got me. I know he's here for a cameo role, yet, completely satisfied just to see him again. Will make a follow up post when I completed this drama.
At this point I was able to complete the drama. And yeah, this definitely has the Goblin touch. just gave it a different twist. Bai Yu definitely nailed his role here. Such a great actor and a good kisser I must say. And yeah, I also liked him better as his evil alter spirit. I guess, he's more cooler having that bad vibe. hehehe This is definitely a decent watch. Got teary eyed at some point in the drama. Parting of the main couple towards the end was quite a bit long. I was looking for at least a more happy ending for the two. Like having a ceremony for marriage and having a kid of their own just as Jian Yan is enjoying his human life.
It's an 8 for me. The only best thing I really enjoyed in the finale is being able to see Jeremy Tsui again.
